Hour 1Today on Gio & Jerry (Boomer's out): Gio polled Jerry, Al, and Eddie for their Top 5 NY announcers. Before C-Lo's sports update (starting with his own Top 5), they discussed the Knicks' loss in Detroit (starters rested) and Wally Szczerbiak's post-game comments (featuring Al's "Boring" drops). C-Lo then covered the Masters' first day, including Gary Player's new girlfriend (he’s 90) and amateur Jose Luis's creek incident. The hour ended with Gio noticing Jerry looking at Arizona real estate and a discussion about the time commitment of kids' athletics.Hour 2Playoff Knicks opponents were discussed. The Mets and Yankees had recent afternoon games, making it feel like a long break. A caller questioned if the show is more relaxed without Boomer; Gio noted he sometimes avoids topics Boomer dislikes. They pondered how well the show members know each other (like a "Newlywed" game). C-Lo returned for his update, finding they don't know his kids' names. Kenny Albert reported on a Knicks-Pistons scuffle. At the Masters, Justin Thomas cursed after a bad shot, and Al questioned the free Masters app's extensive live coverage. The afternoon show went to the Islanders game where the Rangers scored 9 goals. The hour ended with Gio saying he'd be golfer Ludvig Aberg if he could wake up as any athlete.Hour 3Gio debates drafting QB Jalen Milroe. He suggests drafting LB Abdul Carter for immediate impact, then Milroe later, emphasizing the Giants need wins and a QB plan for Daboll/Schoen to stay. Jerry prefers Sanders for his media handling skills and expects better Giants QB play than the Jets (despite no Jets QB draft talk). Before C-Lo's update, they discussed their guest bartending for the Boomer Esiason Foundation. C-Lo's update included the Knicks' physical loss to the Pistons, Masters day one, and Augusta's female members. The hour ended with the Browns signing Joe Flacco to their QB room with Kenny Pickett.Hour 4Gio hosted a "Newlywed Game" between Al & Eddie to test their 17-year camaraderie. Before C-Lo's final update (following a discussion about the afternoon show requesting, not being invited to, the Islanders game), they recapped the Knicks' Detroit loss (featuring Kenny Albert's call) and Jim Nantz's story of acquiring Scottie Scheffler's old Yukon. A funny call to the Paul Feinbaum show involved a bowel movement discussion. The "Moment of the Day" questioned the show members' true knowledge of each other. The week ended with Gio receiving Barstool Golf merchandise (noting their high-stakes staff contests) and a discussion about Ted Knight's age in "Caddyshack" and his "Too Close For Comfort" role.

We heard from Kenny Albert as there was a little bit of a scrum between the Knicks and Pistons. Justin Thomas dropped an F-bomb and a G-D when a tee shot didn’t go as expected at the Masters. Al wonders why the Masters app is free as it shows everything live. The afternoon show went to the Islanders game where the Rangers scored 9 goals.
-
A caller wonders if we’re more relaxed when Boomer’s not here. Gio said sometimes he brings up topics that Boomer is not interested in and that can throw him off. How well do the guys on the show know each other? If we played a ‘Newlywed’ type game, how well would we do?
-
C-Lo gave us an update on the first day of the Masters. Gary Player talked about having a new girlfriend at the age of 90. Amateur Jose Luis peed in a creek at Augusta and said he would do it again.

Gio starts the show by going around the room asking Jerry, Al and Eddie who their Top 5 NY announcers are.

Hour 1Today's show features Gio & Jerry as Boomer is out. They discussed Luka Doncic's 45-point return to Dallas, calling his trade and Denver's coach/GM firing unusual NBA moves. Relating this to the Knicks and Thibs, Jerry believes they can compete with Boston in a 6 or 7 game playoff series, while Gio predicts a second-round loss to Boston in the same timeframe. C-Lo's update included the Yankees' win (despite a shaky finish), Cody Bellinger's five-year chicken wing ban due to food poisoning, Gio and Jerry's fake scalped ticket stories, the Mets' shutout loss, and the White Sox's latest defeat involving Mike Tauchman. Later, Doncic received a standing ovation in Dallas. The hour concluded with Pat Boyle seeking a Masters golfer to bet on and Gio watching a tornado documentary on Netflix.Hour 2Gio isn't overly concerned about Devin Williams' early struggles, recalling Edwin Diaz's initial adjustment in New York. He criticized Brett Baty's throwing error and questioned Jeff McNeil's continued presence on the Mets. Regarding the Masters, Gio prefers top 20 bets. A caller shared details about Masters ticket prices and pickup. Jerry joked about shooting a 150 at Augusta. C-Lo's update included the Yankees' win. The show discussed Chris Russo's disbelief over Cody Bellinger's hotel chicken wing order and Keith McPherson's unfamiliarity with "scuttlebutt." Zach Gelb interviewed Ian Eagle about his and his son's Emmy nominations. Luka Doncic's 45-point return was mentioned again. The final segment covered the Rangers missing the playoffs, which annoyed Al last year, and the current Giants draft talk also bothers him, with a question raised about the lack of Jets quarterback draft discussion.Hour 3Justin Fields addressed media questions about the Jets potentially drafting a quarterback, stating he doesn't answer rhetorical questions but is open to teaching. Jerry believes Fields still needs instruction himself. The Steelers lack a quarterback, and Aaron Rodgers didn't appear at Pat McAfee's Pittsburgh show. The upcoming Kickoff to Summer show was mentioned. C-Lo's update covered Masters practice rounds. Allen Lazard is staying with the Jets on a reduced contract. DeShaun Watson claimed doubters will be proven wrong, but Gio called him a "slimeball loser." The show also pondered OnlyFans' profitability despite free content. The hour concluded with a discussion about Al Leiter's field in Bayville, NJ, where Jerry's son recently played, noting Al's funding of the field.Hour 4Thibs' job might be in jeopardy if the Knicks underperform in the playoffs, especially with Michael Malone available. The Rangers will have a new coach next season, highlighting the NHL's trend of rehiring coaches. The show questioned why good coaches are repeatedly fired instead of addressing player issues. A caller described an agent interacting with OnlyFans customers. Another asked Gio about breathing magnets, which didn't help him; he plans to try mouth "hostage tape." C-Lo's final update included Adam Schein's anger at optimism following the Knicks' loss to the Celtics, Jason Day's correction of a reporter's phrase, and the disappointment of Sam Rosen missing playoff games in his final season. The Moment of the Day was a humorous suggestion of an OnlyFans featuring Fred Couples. The show concluded with a discussion about golf spectators getting hit by stray balls.

Thibs could be on the hotseat if things don’t go well in the playoffs, with recently fired Nuggets head coach Michael Malone available. If they don’t get out of the first round or get swept in the second round Thibs could be gone. The Rangers will no doubt have a new head coach next season. NHL head coaches get fired all the time and get rehired again. It’s a retread coach league. Some people think Torts will be back. Why do we keep firing coaches we know are good? Shouldn’t we get rid of the players instead?
-
I mean, considering how much free content is out there all the time.

Justin Fields met the media and was asked about the Jets potentially drafting a quarterback. He said he doesn’t answer rhetorical questions, but he is willing to teach others. Jerry thinks someone should still be teaching Fields at this point. The Steelers still don’t have a quarterback and Aaron Rodgers did not appear with Pat McAfee at his live Pittsburgh show last night. We talked about our upcoming Kickoff to Summer show down the Jersey shore.
