We talked about having to replace Eddie in a year and Gio feels like he needs to evaluate replacements like teams evaluate quarterbacks. Boomer said during summer vacation, Gio should do the show with one of his friends instead of bringing in an experienced talk show host. Who would Boomer bring in as his buddy to do a show with?

The NFL draft is tomorrow night and there’s rumors that there could be major moves just before and during the draft. Boomer thinks the Giants would take QB Tyler Shough over Jaxson Dart if they are both available. Dart may even be gone by the time they decide to take a QB. Brian Baldinger is feeling a huge trade in the top 5, saying ‘this is not going to be a boring draft’.

Todd McShay has a way for the Giants to get Abdul Carter and then Jaxson Dart. Dart went to the same Utah high school as Zach Wilson. Gio thinks there’s a personality thing that people from Utah don't work here in NY with the Jets or Giants. When Phil Simms was here, he had notes that we say. It said Jaxson Dart is ‘pudgy’. Gio said you have to factor in the Utah thing and the pudgy thing.

Griffin Canning talked about pitching in front of big crowds. Carlos Mendoza said it’s early, but they are racking up wins. The Yankees dropped another game in Cleveland and one inning did them in. Jaxson Dart was on with Kay Adams and the Giants are very appealing to him.

The Mets won their sixth straight game last night, and although it’s early, we are loving every minute of it. We are stacking wins, winning series and dominating at home. And the fans are coming out every night, even during the week. Pete Alonso has been carrying this team offensively and Mets pitching has the best ERA in baseball. Their weakness was supposed to be starting pitching and it’s the best in the league right now. Gio said he would extend Pete 4 more years today.
