A caller asked about the Jets draft and if they should have taken a quarterback at some point. Gio said they are committed to Justin Fields and not just as a stop gap.

Boomer finally agrees with LT on something. Ryan Fitzpatrick also told Zach Wilson if he wants to be taken seriously he can’t wear jersey #0. A caller thinks Dave Sims is ‘over the top’ on his calls. Jalen Milroe met the media in Seattle and had a message for teams that didn’t draft him: ‘belt to ass’. Mel Kiper dropped Boomer’s name in relation to quarterbacks falling in the draft.

The Shedeur Sanders story had a lot of different angles this weekend. He ended up going all the way in the fifth round to the Browns. That was quite a statement from the league and from GMs. Boomer said Sanders ‘torpedo’d himself’ with bad meetings and Deion didn’t help saying he would get him to a team he wanted him to be on. He is very high on himself which teams saw as off putting.

The Mets had a 6-run lead and lost in Washington. Juan Soto lost a ball in the sun. The Yankees swept a doubleheader over the Jays as Aaron Judge homered in game 2. -
The Knicks beat the Pistons to take a 3-1 series lead. There was a controversial ‘no call’ at the end of the game and the Pistons head coach was not happy. It seems like the Pistons got more calls than the Knicks anyway. Gio thinks it’s ‘loser mentality’ for either coach to complain about the officiating.
