It opens in the Middle East, where Miles grew up with his father, a CIA agent stationed in Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon. It then shifts to London in the late 60s and the beginnings of a career managing bands
—Only for Miles’s life and work to be turned upside down by a disastrous European tour.
From the ashes of near bankruptcy, Miles entered the punk world, sharing a building with Malcolm McLaren and Sniffin’ Glue, before shifting gears again as manager of The Police, featuring his brother Stewart Copeland on drums.
After founding I.R.S. Records, he launched the careers of some of the most potent musical acts of the new wave scene and beyond, from Squeeze and The Go-Go’s to The Bangles and R.E.M.
The story comes full circle as Miles finds himself advising the Pentagon on how to win over hearts and minds in the Middle East and introducing Arabic music to the United States.

In 1981 Vicki formed The Bangs alongside sister Debbi and singer-guitarist Susanna Hoffs - which soon became the iconic chart-topping 80’s group The Bangles.
In the early 90s, Vicki began writing songs with her good friend Susan Cowsill as the Psycho Sisters and contributed to tracks by artists including Tom Petty, the Hoodoo Gurus, John Doe, and Belinda Carlisle, as well as replacing a pregnant Charlotte Caffey on The Go-Go’s 1994-95 reunion tour.
Vicki released 2014's Psycho Sister’s first—and almost mythical--full-length recording UP ON THE CHAIR, BEATRICE, and in 2017 formed Action Skulls alongside husband John Cowsill and Bill Mumy.

Dan's former acoustic duo, Lowen & Navarro, released 13 albums from 1990-2008, enjoyed widespread Triple-A radio airplay and performed 1500 shows before Eric Lowen’s retirement in 2008 and passing from ALS in 2012. Dan set out solo in 2006.
Dan's 2022 album, “Horizon Line”, reunited Dan with Grammy® winning producer Jim Scott, who helmed six L&N albums. Mike Gormley Presents...Doug Legacy! Doug Legacy is a musician and one of the founding members of the Zydeco Party Band. He has puppeteered background characters on Muppets Tonight and his band was featured as the house band for the show (with Legacy playing accordion). Doug is also known for The Bucket List (2007), Gilmore Girls (2000), and Muppets Tonight (1996). Doug wound up in Los Angeles in 1977 where he immediately won the Gong Show playing steel drums. He then went on to play them with Rod Stewart (a significant vocal influence on Doug), where he met Jimmy Z, playing great blues harp and tenor sax on this album. Jimmy Z went on to play with Jeff Beck and the Eurythmics. Doug had the honor to back up Paul McCartney on background vocals and accordion. He also sang for Brian Wilson, Todd Rundgren and Oingo Boingo. Oingo Boingo bassist John Avila plays on the first track of this album. Doug founded the Zydeco Party Band over 20 years ago and has released several albums. King Cake Party (1990) was produced by Jim Keltner and Freebo and had guest artists Ry Cooder and David Lyndley on it. It was released on Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe’s label Demon in Europe and Japan. Doug also made an album with the Oingo Boingo band in 1996 called Doug and the Mystics “New Hat” released in Europe on Colosseum Records. Doug has worked on many projects with Van Dyke Parks as a musician and engineer. Van Dyke introduced Doug to Grant Geissman who plays great guitar on this project. Long-time friend and collaborator Gary Ferguson play solid drums and percussion. Gary has played for artists such as John Hiatt and Eddy Money. Dave Eastly has been the 1st chair bassist for the Zydeco Party Band for the last five years. Mike Gormley Ottawa-born Mike Gormley has achieved top recognition as a journalist, record company executive, artist manager, music supervisor for TV and films, and marketing/PR expert in 40+ years in the music industry. Gormley, as his friends call him, has been responsible for setting into motion many artists’ careers. His work has brought the world such successful artists as film composer Danny Elfman, the massively successful pop band The Bangles, and helped launch the careers of such diverse artists as Rod Stewart, Rush, BTO, The Police, and Supertramp. When Mercury Records was absorbed into the German-Dutch giant, Polygram, Mike assumed corporate public relations duties and helped establish the PolyGram brand in the U.S. Mike left A&M to start his own management firm LAPD, (Los Angeles Personal Development) with Miles Copeland, manager of The Police and founder of IRS Records (REM, The Go Go’s, Fine Young Cannibals, and others). Gormley eventually became the sole owner of LAPD. SONG FOR JULI 50th Anniversary Release To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Jesse Colin Young has released a fully remastered version of his iconic album, "Song for Juli," originally launched on September 4, 1973. The all-new version is available on all streaming platforms as well as extremely limited-edition vinyl. This album is the fourth solo album by singer-songwriter and former Youngblood. The album had a higher chart placing than any of the Youngblood albums and stayed on the charts longer than any other album he currently created. Several of the songs include stories about Young's Ridgetop home in Northern California. Johnny "Vatos" Hernandez joined the original lineup of the famous band, Oingo Boingo, a position he held for seventeen years, until their breakup in 1995. During that time, the band released eight albums toured the world, and played thousands of concerts.
After the breakup of Oingo Boingo, Hernandez joined the band, Tito and Tarantula and was featured in the Robert Rodriguez film, "From Dusk Till Dawn." He was the drummer for Bear McCreary's hugely popular "Battlestar Galactica" live orchestra concerts.
For the past seven years, Hernandez has been touring with his own, Boingo Dance Party, a high-energy, wild Oingo Boingo music show that features former members of Oingo Boingo. As well, Hernandez is the drummer for the Don Kubec Big Band and recently formed his own avant-garde group, Vlatko, featuring composer and arranger, Michael Vlatkovich on trombone (with whom Hernandez has played professionally for the past forty years).
