  • This is my very first podcast episode with Djent musician Connor Lambert who goes by the name Natsukashii.

This was filmed two years ago and originally put on Youtube.

Since then, Connor has released Kami V2, a refresher and more refinded version since his production skills improved.

This is meant to be a dark comedy version but it turned out very cringey. But it is what it is. The shortest episode you'll ever see. Inspired by an old animated 90s comedy talk show 'Ghost Man.'

    We cover topics such as:

    - What the term Djent actually means

    - Why Connor chose to be called Natsukashii

    - What inspires him to create

    - My random ramblings and social fails (being a vampire of course)

This is actually the very first episode in video style. There were many technical problems such as the phone camera not recording and having to rely on the zoom video footage. If you ever wanted B or C grade footage, you got it with this one.

I then decided to switch to audio only.

  • Tonight's Legend is Producer & Engineer Stacey Smyre (@RedNoseAudio) from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Stacey grew his love for audio while with his former band Arkangela trying to self-record an album.

He knew pretty quickly that audio was his forte and he entered the Live Sound industry equiped with his Ipad Controller. Live sound eventually took a toll on him and he converted to doing engineering projects for bands that performed at his live gigs while keeping a day job.

Stacey decided to bite the bullet, quit his job and go full time as a rock producer even during the beginning of the pandemic. He doesn't have the usual home studio setup and often goes from home to home churning out high quality projects in any situation that he faces. Stacey has since built a loyal client base and has never looked back.

    This Episode:

The live music scene of Wisconsin

    His early years with Arkangela

His time in Live Sound and how it works

    Equipment setup

Why bad singers hate pitch correction

    Why producers need psychology skills

    and much more...

His political lyrics are based around the violence and ideologies of the three abrahamic faiths being Christians, Jews and Muslims which he studied at Wheaton College.

He had written and produced 'Ishmael,' for his final college assignment which was surprisingly supported 100% by all his professors and teachers.

Jared could have spoken for hours and his voice was mesmerizing while he spoke about different aspects of his life.

    In this episode we discuss:

Behind the scenes of latest single 'One Hand Clapping' Hiring actors for his music video Picking up the guitar quite late at age 19 His early Christian life and how it influenced his lyrics His expedition to the middle east and the surprising truth behind the Holy Land Theology, early Christian martyrs His digital media and art skills How his funny skits landed him his dream media job
