Think about it... when was the last time you yelled at the top of your lungs? What if you needed to do that now to help fight for your safety? The first time you've yelled at the top of your lungs to protect yourself shouldn't be the first time you've yelled at the top of your lungs. There is so much power that comes from embodiment through mental and physical practice.

Have you ever told someone, “Don’t cry, be a man!”
Have you ever said that to yourself? (I sure as hell have)
When did you first notice that you shouldn’t hold your father’s hand any longer? What age were you? What about it made you stop?
Society and external systems reinforce gender stereotypes, but sometimes these boxes are formed within our family and personal systems. Join us on the Merging Path Podcast with Schuyler Bailar, the first Transgender Male Division 1 NCAA Athlete, as we discuss the boxes of manhood.

Have you ever seen an HR policy that states employees aren't allowed to talk to their coworkers about how much they make? I haven't. Who does this protect? And more importantly... who does this hurt?
In this episode, I sit down with Nadia De Ala - the founder of Real You Leadership. Nadia is a facilitator, negotiation, and leadership coach on a mission to close the intersectional pay and leadership gap for historically marginalized people.
Nadia is also the one who kept pointing her finger in my face to call me out when I kept saying I wanted to leave my job and become an entrepreneur but kept waiting to do it. Everyone needs a Nadia in their life.
Listen in for some negotiation tips, deep conversation around pay transparency as a result of newly enacted laws, and some laughs (par for the course when you hang with Nadia).

In this episode, I'm joined by Koye Adeboye, who Leads Communications and Outreach for the United Nations Spotlight Initiative which is the world's largest investment to end all forms of violence against women and girls.
Now, you might be asking yourself, why are two guys talking about an issue that affects women and girls? First, it affects all of us. Secondly, I think that's the point. My hope is that we can start to normalize this conversation among men and people who are not women or girls so that the burden doesn't have to fall on people who are not us. If this episode can be a spark to ignite that, then I'll strike that match any day of the week.
