We are heading into an election unlike anything we have ever seen before - The external factors from people like Donald Trump are going to weigh heavier than in any election in recent history. Things have been unpredictable - and changing quickly - even the unpopular Justin Trudeau saw a bump in his polling numbers before exiting the office. Andrew Enns is Executive Vice President with Leger Polling - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

Canada is backed into a corner, being forced to react to Donald Trump’s tariffs. Every ‘expert’ is running around talking about the best way to respond to this current situation, with most talking about “fighting” Trump. But how did things get so bad that our economy is so dependent on the USA? American workers produce $22,100 U.S. more goods annually per worker than Canadians - and this is thanks to the lack of investment - and a lack of political will to have Canada build an economy not so dependent on the U.S. John Turley Ewart is a contributing columnist with The Globe and Mail, and a Banking Consultant - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The Liberal Campaign and Policies are being dictated by Justin Trudeau’s team. For a country that was fed up with Trudeau, we seem to be in a hurry to elect Mark Carney. And Pierre Poilievre is portrayed by certain media as unlikeable… How did we get here? Are Canadians being wilfully blind because the media isn’t giving Poilievre a fair shake? Can the Conservatives do anything to gain a lead in this campaign? Brian Lilley is a columnist with the Toronto Sun - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The polls have not been good news for the Conservative party - Pierre Poilievre has blown a 20 point lead to be neck and neck with the Mark Carney/ Trudeau Liberals. But - can the polls be trusted? Is the media treating Carney and Poilievre differently? Peter Shurman is a long time broadcaster, former Politician - and he joins Stephen LeDrew to ask some of these questions for Three Minutes.

AI has become a widely-used powerful mainstream tool. Even this show will occasionally use AI as an assist with sound quality! But what is AI capable of? Shouldn’t we be very cautious with it? Dave Signoretti is the owner of Xstrat - a company specializing in Artificial Intelligence in the medical realm. As much as AI can be a tool for good - it can also be a tool for evil. Dave joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss all of this for Three Minutes

There is a new book out called ‘Ripper’ - it is very critical of Pierre Poilievre. It appears to have been rushed out as it is rife with typos and spelling mistakes. Liberal pundits are conducting cheap attempts at character assassination on Poilievre at every opportunity. What can be done to right the ship and gain some momentum back in this Conservative engine that at one point saw a record number of members bring Poilievre to power. Robin Bredin is an Author and smart guy - he has some passionate views on this topic - and he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

It appears as though there are two elections taking place right now - Some people over 55 are scared about Trump and Tariffs - but people under 40 are worried about jobs, and housing. What can be done here? Some criticism focuses on how unlikeable Pierre Poilievre appears to be - but are Canadians ignoring the real issues? Brian Lilley has been writing the cover stories in the Toronto Sun about this election - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The Liberals are still flying high in the polls - and everytime Donald Trump opens his mouth the same old Cabinet seems to get another bump in the polls. But what do Canadians really know about Mark Carney? Is this the reverse to the situation we faced with Trudeau - it’s not that Canadians love Mark Carney - it’s that they dislike Pierre Poilievre? Do Canadians want a technocrat as Prime Minister, rather than a Parliamentarian?

The Liberals are flying high in the polls now that Mark Carney has become Canada’s Prime Minister. Campaigns Count! History has seen this story before - when Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden as a candidate she was flying high in the polls - and then things settled back to normal. Kim Campbell was going to be the saviour of the Conservative Party - and that left them decimated. Andrew Enns is Executive Vice President with Leger Polling - he joins Stephen LeDrew to unpack how this may play out for Three Minutes.

Many in the harm reduction community have been saying for years that it is racist to criminalize drugs. The argument is that the justice system disproportionately targets racialized people. Adam Zivo is a Columnist with the National Post, and he is the Executive Director of the Centre For Responsible Drug Policy - he joins Stephen LeDrew to explain the reasons why this argument is absolute nonsense. If you read the history books - and look at current drug policies - the communities that are supposedly targeted are the ones that want these drugs out of their community!

Pierre Poilievre has been struggling since Mark Carney has taken the helm of the Liberals. His entire strategy had been built upon stopping Justin Trdueau - with Trudeau out of the picture people seem to be taking a sober second look at the Conservative Leader. But is the criticism fair? And will he be able to distance himself from people who keep referring to him as Trump lite. Robin Bredin is an Author and overall smart guy - he discusses with Stephen LeDrew the new book ‘Ripper’ on the topic of Pierre Poilievre for Three Minutes.

This is the most important Canadian election in a generation - it is also an election that is taking place in the age of the infancy of AI - the age of foreign interference with Russia, India, and China likely all taking a crack and mucking with the results of this election. On top of that - there seems to be a torrent of fake photos circulating of Mark Carney with Jeffrey Epstein - this is all fake. Make sure you take the time to double check your sources and your stories - so come election day - you can make a proper informed decision.

Over the past decade, productivity and innovation have fallen behind because the Trudeau Government Policy made sure that our natural resources stayed in the ground. We are responsible for our decline - and now we have Mark Carney vying to be the next Prime Minister. Does he really expect Canadians to believe that he has abandoned his own outdated environmental dogma? Can Canada endure another four years of Liberal-engineered decline? Bryan Gould is the CEO of Aspenleaf Energy Limited - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

It’s been a wild ride since Donald Trump became President of the United States. Now that we have had time to settle into the current reality it’s important to ask the question - How did we get here? When the tariffs come into play will we be feeling their impact because of the US Administration? - or due to years of Liberal anti-business policy that has left our economy weak and hollowed-out? Catherine Swift is the President of the Coalition of Concerned Manufacturers & Businesses of Canada- she joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

Bonnie Henry was the top doctor in BC and has been an advocate of safe supply. Critics of safe supply have long said that these drugs are being distributed and then sold by people suffering with addiction to get their hands on the drugs they really want … but these common sense critics have been here-to-for summarily dismissed. One of these people is National Post Columnist Adam Zivo - he is also the executive director of the Centre for Responsible Drug Policy - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

Is the absence of a unified message from Canada on how to respond to the threat of tariffs weakening our position? Ontario Premier Doug Ford threatened a 25% surcharge on electricity - and has gone so far as to say he would turn the electricity off. Experts have all said that Canada will not win a trade war with the United States - so is Premier Ford needlessly escalating a bad situation? Catherine Swift is the President of the Coalition of Concerned Manufacturers and Businesses of Canada - she joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The NDP are off to a pathetic start in this campaign - talking about class struggles! The Liberals are trying to position themselves as the new guys - when everyone surrounding Carney has been part of the terrible Justin Trudeau regime. And the Conservatives have no idea what to do now that their campaign has been robbed of its focus - part of the carbon tax axed,Trudeau gone. Is it too much to hope that the leaders will reveal their plans to revitalize and rejuvenate Canada?

Does Mark Carney have the ability to overcome the incompetence and corruption of the Trudeau Liberals? He has been a businessman and banker -but what does he know about the oil industry - or the steel industry? Or politics? The Conservatives have tried to pin the Trudeau track record to him - so far with no success. So far, it would seem that Canadians are more concerned with the trade war than track records - can the Conservatives wake up before the Liberals rise up? Andrew Perez is a Political Strategist - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

Many Canadians seem to have fallen in love with Mark Carney. But let’s remember that this is the man who has always been touting the same Trudeau anti-resource agenda that has been crushing Canadians. In fact, his entourage is made up of the same people as the last government … just sitting in different chairs. Canadians need to wake up before they are duped by this clone!

Stats Canada has recently released a report saying that the bureaucracy in Canada has increased by over 30%. This means that business owners, and citizens, spend more and more time filling out forms - so the government can meddle and control their affairs. What can and must be done about this? Jay Goldberg is with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.
