Lindi Cohen is a dietician and nutritionist that is all about getting back to basics and not being on a diet. Sounds weird right. A dietician telling you not to be on a diet! That’s why I love her. This is a quote from her web site which really resonates with me.
Swap cauliflower for carbs and you will lose ~88% of the joy you get from food.
Twenty minutes of exercise is better than an hour at the gym that you never do.
Don't give up 95% of your life to weigh 5% less.
If hating your body helped you lose weight, you'd have your dream body by now.

My new family member, Larry, Master Chef 2019 winner. The girl that taught me how to swear while living in the Master Chef house, but also made me laugh so hard. I love her like I love my own kids. I can not wait to watch this girl shine over the next few years because I just know she is destined for amazing things,

I am such a fan of survivor and of Pia Miranda, so can you imagine how excited I was when they both combined. I didn’t know a lot about Pia personally before Survivor because she is a pretty private person, but one thing I did lean about her in survivor is what a sassy lady she is, that she is Sicilian, she loves pasta and is a Yogi. Honestly, one of the nicest men I have ever met. I could not have asked for a greater mentor during my Master Chef experience than Matt. So generous with his words, time and experience.
I could just listen to him speak about food all day every day.

My big sister and my greatest mentor. I thought it might be fun to compare our last supper meals and food memories. We are 5 years apart and I wondered how different our food memories are.

Akmal Saleh has a fascinating past. Originally immigrating to Australia from Egypt with his family nearly 30 years ago. He sums it up in his own inimitable style – “My parents didn’t tell us where we were going. We thought it was two hours away. Twenty hours later, we got off a plane and we were on another planet”. Akmal has had a very interesting food culture background, and talks very fondly about a dish that resembles green snot!!

Michelle Schoeps is bordering on obsessed when it comes to her food choices and feeding her family… She calls it committed! Committed to living a healthier, happier life and helping her kids make good food choices now and into the future.
Despite having a busy family and work life, the Sydney-based foodie and mum of three is passionate about feeding her kids unprocessed foods and showing kids of all ages and adults alike, how easy it is to cook in the same way.
Michelle’s German, French and Hungarian family roots inspired her cooking of the nutritionally dense, nourishing broth, which forms part of almost every meal she serves. Michelle is now affectionately known by her customers as ‘The Broth Lady’ and her Love & Bones Broth products are stocked in gourmet grocers in New South Wales and Victoria.

Jessie McTavish is the Head Chef at the Dunes Palm Beach, surfer, ocean and seafood sustainability advocate, I met Jessie on Master Chef when he was a guest chef. Jessie was to most giving of all the chefs I met. He went out of his way to show us contestants respect and openly appreciated what we were doing and giving up. There is a quote from Jesse in his profile that I love and really gives you a sense of who Jessie is it says, “it is a privilege to catch, cook and protect what the ocean offers me”.
