Fool Me Once, Fool Me Twice Trump Tries Again

It seems every time Trump needs a bump in popularity, a nut job with a gun appears as was the case AGAIN over the weekend. Either he's the unluckiest political candidate in history, or this is just another of his lies. I mean, he was in show business, after all. And what does it speak of the candidate that we would believe him capable of such, or his fit about Taylor Swift over the weekend as well? Meanwhile the Senator from Ohio, spend the weekend defending his lies that are threatening Haitians in Springfield, OH and being called out on them on every show.
Someone should do a Super Bowl half time show that I want to see ... Dance Divas of the 80s and 90s singing their hits...Janet Jackson....but now, we get Kendrick Lamar...who I'm sure is a fabulous to those that love him...but I have no idea who he is. So, I'll learn something...or watch something else.

Boiling Water Has Cooked Us; Debate Shouldn't Happen

Climate change is literally cooking us across the globe. And there's no doubt it's man-made; which means we did a lot of it to generate energy meaning the burning of fossil fuels, coal, nuclear. But under it all, what does that do? Boil water. Yup, most of our energy is still created by steam. It's 2024, can't we do better?
The debate is tomorrow and I still believe Kamala shouldn't even do it. The media refused to concentrate on Trump's cognition problems, and take him as a serious candidate. He is not a serious candidate, just a serious threat.
Very serious fires...and no one really cares. We're becoming immune to the devastation of climate change and that's a bad thing.

MAGA and their cult members have come unglued at the behest of billionaires who care nothing about them...again. This time over a proposal from President Biden and VP Harris over unrealized capital gains, a tax that would only effect 11,000 people in the USA worth over $100m and that have 80% or more of their assets in capital gains (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc). It will not affect any average homeowner or American. But you can't tell these morons that.
But let's be real, the real dilemma in USA is still groceries, eating out, gas prices. These are not set by a President, but yet, that's what we are judging Harris and Trump on. And Trump is capitalizing on the fact that Americans are too ill informed to know the facts.
Also, things that are ticking me off on this Monday, like refunds. They take your $ in seconds, and then take days to refund it.

Then, came the "only person dumb enough to speak after Michelle Obama," her husband, Former President Barack Obama. And his keynote was everything it needed to be. There were some key takeaways from which the entire country could learn. The problem, they won't listen.

President Joe Biden in a blazing speech for almost an hour proved he is no where near done in the party. He didn't pass the torch to Kamala, he set it ablaze, taking names and having receipts. This is what 51 years of public service comes to, and it was a blaze of glory. Although, the convention still feels very much like a cult meeting.
Families are going in to major debt...not for food or clothing, but for Disney Vacations. The NYT did an entire series on families going in to debt to go to theme parks or on cruises.
