  • This episode explores Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the technique of reframing, which helps you see situations in a new light.

    What is Reframing?

Reframing is like giving a painting a new frame to see its true beauty. It's about shifting your perspective on a situation to unlock benefits like:

Creative Problem Solving Stronger Relationships Boosted Confidence Reduced Stress

    2 Key Techniques of Reframing:

Context Reframing: Changes the context of an unwanted behavior or trait, making it more acceptable. (e.g., Running late for an interview? It happens to everyone!)

Content Reframing: Finds a new meaning for a problematic behavior. (e.g., A messy workspace could be a sign of someone creative!)

    How to Reframe:

Identify the Target: What situations cause you stress or negativity? Choose Your Weapon: Context or Content Reframing? Brainstorm Your Frames: Consider different ways to look at the situation. Test It Out: See how reframing affects your thoughts and feelings.

    Practice Exercises:

Reframe the meaning of loss, rejection, fever, and separation. Describe frustration, envy, shyness, and silliness with positive terms. Reflect on difficult moments in your life and consider the lessons learned.

    Call to Action:

Identify a situation in your life that could benefit from reframing. Reframe your world!

  • Stop Investing in People Who Don't Invest in You

Recognize one-sided relationships that drain your energy. Focus on fostering reciprocal connections that make you feel valued. Look for your "Soul Tribe" - the people who understand you without needing constant explanation.

    Stop Social Media Comparison

Understand that social media portrays a curated highlight reel, not reality. Avoid comparing your behind-the-scenes life to someone else's best moments. Consider a social media cleanse to break free from the comparison cycle.

    Stop Chasing Unhealthy Perfection

Focus on progress, not achieving an unattainable ideal. Celebrate your accomplishments, big or small. Give yourself time to learn, grow, and embrace your imperfections.

    Stop Romantically Idealizing Self-Destruction

Prioritize self-care and understand that neglecting your health is not a badge of honor. Getting enough sleep, eating nutritious foods, and taking breaks are essential for optimal functioning. Focus on healthy habits that will sustain you in the long run.

Stop Glorifying Busyness and Sleep Deprivation

Recognize that constant busyness and sleep deprivation are not signs of productivity. Prioritize getting enough quality sleep to recharge your brain and boost your health. Find the optimal amount of sleep that allows you to function at your best (individual needs may vary).

    Stop Avoiding Your Emotions

Suppressing your emotions can lead to anxiety, depression, and even physical problems. Practice healthy vulnerability by expressing your emotions in a constructive way. Share your feelings with trusted friends and consider journaling to gain self-awareness.

  • The Self-Improvement Paradox: Why Trying Harder Can Backfire (and How to Break Free)

Do you ever feel like the harder you try to improve yourself, the worse you seem to get? You're not alone! This episode dives into the self-improvement paradox, exploring why striving for perfection can backfire and how to find a balance between self-acceptance and sustainable growth.

    Key Takeaways:

Recognize goal setting as a coping mechanism: Explore how sometimes we use goals to avoid confronting deeper issues, leading to frustration and disappointment. Embrace humility and challenge your beliefs: Discover the importance of being open to learning and evolving, even if it means questioning your own perspectives. In this episode, we invite you to look beyond the surface and ask yourself the profound question: Is my interpretation of my "I" consistent with my Concept of the "Am". Who do I want to be, and am I living this version of me already?

My Love goes out to you & see you in the next one.

  • Hey & Welcome everyone to another Solo Episode of The Journey Beyond Podcast. Today's episode is on mental health, and how you can re-program your mind to let go of negative and self-judging thought-patterns.

The Concept of HAVE, DO & BE had been a rather prevalent concept that most people, including myself, struggle with. The Idea of: I need to have/attain a certain status, job, financial Income level, personal Goal, etc. in order for me to do the things that I love to do. and by doing them I can become the person that I aspire to be....

When it comes to this thinking, spot the difficulty...

Instead of running after an attainment that will change or expand with every new chapter of your life, and that will eventually leave you sad, desperate or anxious, try to rephrase the concept of you by looking at your Life from a BE, DO HAVE perspective.

With this approach the focus shifts from the external over to the internal. Being in the present moment, working on things that are within your control. You direct your focus on being the person that you desire to be and focus on the things that you need to do to represent this version of you. The Attainment of things, status etc. will become a natural by product of the being and doing.

  • Hey and welcome back everyone to another episode on the Journey Beyond Podcast.

In todays episode I will walk you through some real life principles I discovered in my own daily practices and along my path of constant evolution. Furthermore I will tap into the Importance of controlling the Ego and how the way you feel is not based upon external factors much rather than the internal elements and thoughtprocesses that are keeping you stuck.

Life is a constant reiteration cycle, constantly evolving, constantly dying to the old and rebirthing to the new.

The same that happens in the seasons on a macro level is suppose to happen to you on a micro level. As spiritual beings living a physical existence, the sole purpose of us is to experience. To experience and to grow. Same as in nature, so in our human life, not being willing to outgrow the old interpretation of you/ or version of you means direct consequences and eventually death (not only physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually).

Hence the quote from Simon Hodges: How you do anything, is how you do everything.

The concept of time - and how there is always a new minute that has never been there before, so even time evolves. Even time grows, so it is normal that if we refuse to grow because we don’t want things to change, this is a fatal thought, because if everything around us is changing and shifting, and we are not, we are in disharmony with our environment.

Some Real-Life Examples from my life that changed my perception on my own journey and helped me step into the right Lane:

GYM - Jean Roth example of mentally pushing yourself beyond the threshhold of what you think is possible. My Second big Ayahuasca Trip - Being reborn, a state of Nada. The constant reiteration of the soul. Doing the tasks that are uncomfortable (Cold Plunge, sauna, gym, trauma work)

As you already know, make sure to follow my journey on Instagram & Youtube for more daily content.

Until then see you next week Saturday at 2pm for a new episode of the Journey beyond podcast.

    Much Love,

    Tim
