Peyton Stovall is a name Arkansas fans were familiar with before he ever reached campus. He was a top high school prospect and projected to be a first-round pick in the MLB draft. Looking at a 7-figure signing bonus, he decided to forego it all and be a Razorback. Since, Stovall has had a career of highs and lows—from leading the team to Omaha to battling through multiple injuries, he's been through it all. But, the adversity has never once made him regret his decision to become a Hog. Peyton Stovall joins the Hog Pod to discuss it all.

Maria José Marin has exploded onto the collegiate golf scene during her freshman season at Arkansas—from setting a 54-hole record during her debut outing, to being ranked the No. 1 women's college golfer in the country. The 17-year-old Columbia native is somewhat of a golf prodigy. She picked up her first golf club at the age of 3 and was competing internationally by the time she was 8. The young golf star has been all over the world playing the sport and has earned prestigious invitations to the Augusta National Women’s amateur tournament and a selection to team international at the 2024 Arnold Palmer cup in Ireland. The SEC Freshman of the Year has accomplished so much in such a young career, but she is just getting started.

Bri Ellis is a home run machine for the Razorback softball team. But, the Auburn transfer and former SEC Freshman of the Year had quite the journey to Arkansas. Growing up as a young girl in Texas, she dreamed of playing softball for Texas A&M, but sometimes dreams don't play out the way we intend. This episode takes Hog fans through Bri's journey from a girl who thought she'd never play softball again to becoming one of the premiere home run hitters in the SEC.

Razorback wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa lives and breathes football and is fueled by NFL dreams. But, his path toward that goal is a little different than most. He went from a high school quarterback to a wide receiver lighting up his DII program—throwing up numbers that caught the eyes of DI recruiters all over the country. After dozens of programs came after him, he chose Arkansas and has been all Hog ever since.

Thirty years ago Scotty Thurman made the shot that sealed Arkansas basketball its National Championship. Thurman was a prolific high school and college basketball player. He was a freshman All-American, a 1,000-point scorer, and a 40-plus percent 3-point shooter. Despite his accolades and departing Arkansas a year early, he never played a game in the NBA. Eric Mateos is the new man at the helm of the Razorbacks' offensive line. But, it's not his first time working under Sam Pittman at Arkansas. Ten years ago Mateos served under then-offensive line coach Sam Pittman as a grad assistant as he tried to break into division I football from the JUCO ranks. Since then it's been full speed ahead—coaching at programs like LSU, BYU & Baylor before coming full circle and landing the job as offensive line coach at Arkansas. We dive into his journey, working under Bobby Petrino and what makes Sam Pittman the only man he would drop everything and move across the country for when he came calling.

With a 7-time Women's College World Series champion, Patty Gasso, for a mother, Razorback hitting coach DJ Gasso has grown up immersed in the sport of softball. After building a reputation as one of the premier hitting coaches in college softball, Gasso finds himself on Courtney Deifel's staff in his first season at Arkansas. We sat down with the new Hogs' assistant to talk about his life growing up with a softball legend for a mom and how it helped shape him into the coach he is today.

In this vault episode we bring back our conversation with the longtime athletic trainer, who’s accrued more years of service at the university than anyone other than Frank Broyles and Norm DeBriyn. We get into how he started his career working for legendary coach Dean Smith, and how he ended up at Arkansas. Next, it’s story time, as Weber tells us some great stories about Steve Cox and Clint Stoerner, and talks about his relationship with Darren McFadden. Then we get his thoughts on the different coaches he worked for — including Lou Holtz, Ken Hatfield, Danny Ford and Houston Nutt (27:35).
