What started as a fun honeymoon ghost tour through Charleston quickly turned into the kind of experience that’s hard to explain away.
While walking through one of the city’s old alleyways, the tour guide shared the story of a man who had been violently attacked and stabbed there years earlier. According to the guide, visitors on the tour would sometimes leave with an odd burning sensation on their leg… or even unexplained marks appearing afterward.
It sounded theatrical. The kind of creepy detail designed to get a reaction from tourists. And at first, that’s exactly what he assumed it was.

Some neighborhoods carry a feeling you can’t really explain. Most people saw the Victorian as a money pit. Layers of bad renovations had buried much of the home’s original character beneath decades of shortcuts and remodeling.
