Emotional strength is not about having ZERO negative emotions. We all tend to devalue negative emotions. But once you listen to this episode, you will understand why it is wrong to stigmatize negative emotions altogether as bad or undesirable, and you will also have a better idea about how you can use negative emotions to your advantage. Of course, if the experience of negative emotions are intense and enduring we need to seek help, however the occasional and inevitable experience of negative emotions should not be regarded as dysfunctional or not good for mental health.
