There are many people who aspire to be racers, but the problem is, it's an extremely expensive sport!! So how do you break the barriers of entry with the financials? Here's where David Cook and Racing Prodigy come in.
David created Racing Prodigy!! From the Racing Prodigy website itself it states: "...Historically, the cost of pursuing a career in motorsports has been so daunting 99% of drivers never realize the opportunity or even dare dream of becoming a professional racer. As a result, most never get to experience the thrill of racing behind the wheel."
What you'll hear in this interview is how David and his team have taken the world of motorsports and eSports and have created an incredible SIM Racing platform that prepares aspiring racers for when it's time to actually get in the car!
You'll definitely enjoy what he has to say so 'buckle up' for this episode!

Today I have the honor and privilege of bringing to the show, my wife, Taylor Larson. I'm so glad she decided to join me for a conversation because she's my travel buddy and has been with me since this podcast started.
I'll ask her about what it's like with me being an Ohio State fan, especially during the week of Ohio State and Michigan, and what it's like from a wife's perspective to have to handle a passionate sports fan (many can relate to this one)
We will also talk about some of her favorite games she's been to with me and why she's enjoyed them. Ohio State and Oklahoma? Ohio State and Nebraska? Ohio State and Clemson? Ohio State and Oregon? Which one is her favorite? Tune in and see.
And how do college games compare to those of NFL games?!
One of my favorite questions is at the end when I ask her about her thoughts of the podcast since she's been with me from the beginning. What has she seen in me, and what is it like being married to a podcaster. (Behind the Scenes...)
Can you believe I've been doing this for 381 episodes now?!! Kind of crazy to say that I've produced over 381 podcast episodes, but here we are as we continue to push the content out there!!

A lot has changed in the college football landscape since Mike and I chatted. Now we're getting closer to the College Football Playoff, and we have a LOT to discuss!!
Who is truly the Heisman front-runner? Does Ashton Jeanty stand a chance against Travis Hunter? Where should Boise State end up in the final rankings? Should they be able to get a first round bye?
Who is a dark horse?! We talk about Georgia and whether or not they can get the job done to finish up the season and why teams should be worried about them if they get into the playoff. Should Penn State be in the playoff and should anybody be concerned about them?
SO MUCH to talk about and we want you to join in on the conversation too!!
Please enjoy this episode (which is brought to you by Nations Best Football)

Dalton Lins knows what it’s like to compete at a high level. Growing up in Hawaii, Dalton fell in love with the game of football through his father. He competed at a very high level in his high school days and ended up as a preferred walk-on at Boise State, where his college days began.
The cool part about this story, is how Dalton kept showing up!! Through his career, he was typically a backup Center on the O-Line, but he kept showing up and earned an opportunity to play special teams and travel with the team. A great, valuable lesson to be learned here for the younger generation, on the importance of continuing to show up!!
In our conversation, we’ll discuss Dalton’s career and the memories he had at Boise State. We’ll chat about stadiums he played in, and some of the leaders he was around. We’ll also talk about the journey OUT of football when the playing days were over.
The transition from playing to the ‘real world’ is not always an easy one. We’ll chat about his ability to find a job that allowed him to utilize his skills he acquired in his sports career, into his professional career in sales.
Also, a major piece to this conversation also revolves around Dalton’s fitness journey too. Since completing his football career, he’s now focused on his health and has completely transformed his mind, body, and spirit! We’ll talk about how he was able to go from 315 lbs to 200 lbs and running multiple ½ marathons!!
You don’t want to miss out on this one! You will absolutely love what he has to say so tune in and make sure to leave us a review!

I met Jake through my sports media platforms when he was coaching high school football here locally in Idaho. Today, through this interview, I learn about his story on how he got to where he's at and what helped shape him in his journey. Through our conversation we'll learn about his business at In The Trenches Academy and what inspired this business plan.
This is an incredibly insightful interview. One I hope you all pay attention to. If you are a parent of an athlete, I would encourage you to listen and have your children listen as well.
Jake is a man of character who understands the importance of perseverance. Playing college football for a program that didn't win many games during his tenure there, yet he understood the importance of strapping up the pads and getting to work each and every day. This has transpired into his regular life in his full-time career(s) as well!
He's a well respected coach and trainer in the football scene too. Between coaching at the high school level and running In The Trenches Academy, he's inspiring young athletes to develop, improve, and have chances to play at the next level.
One of the great things about what he is doing with In The Trenches Academy, along with his business partner, is they are bringing linemen together to learn the techniques and skills that are necessary to make a difference 'in the trenches.' You see so many different skill position camps and training facilities, but there aren't as many places for linemen to go for the same types of training. It's unique and a great opportunity for those on the offensive and defensive lines to improve in their game!
Please join me in following and supporting Jake and his business by sharing this podcast with others around you. Give Jake a follow on his pages and make sure to hit that subscribe button on this platform.
If you happen to come across this podcast on YouTube rather than on the audio platforms, please help me in growing this channel by hitting that follow button and sharing with someone you know can benefit from this interview. You'll be glad you did!

Welcome to the new series that will happen for the next three months, as I speak with sports broadcaster and incredible up and comer in the industry, Mike Zanetti about the college football landscape. This episode is brought to you by Nations Best Football and we're here to chat about contenders and pretenders, rankings, and more.
Who do we truly feel are contenders this season? Who do you think? Make sure to leave us a comment down below and let us know what your thoughts are on that.
Shane believes we'll know more after this weekend when the #WhoYaGot Game of the Week plays out with Ohio State and Oregon! Both Mike and Shane weigh in on that particular game.
Is Texas for real? Will Alabama rebound from their loss to Vandy? What do they need to do in order to get back into the race for the #1 spot?
We'll break down our thoughts on the 12-Team Playoff format for the college football playoff as well. You may not realize it now, but there will be quite a few teams pretty upset when the final rankings are set in stone, and we'll explain the reasons why.
Can Ashton Jeanty from Boise State continue on his pace as a runningback right now? If so, should he be deserving of the Heisman Trophy?
Make sure you give Mike a follow on his platforms as you can see below:

After competing at a high level in Softball for UCLA in the early 2000s, Tara Henry took some time away from the sport before she ended up overseas to finish a Master's Program. After that time, she was re-introduced to softball and it created an entirely new surge in her career. Tara is now the GM of Softball America as well as the Head Coach for the Great Britain National Team.
The goal for Softball America is to provide additional coverage to the sport through various channels. Whether it's social media, the website, or even podcasts, Softball America (now teaming up with On3) is providing a seriously great platform for softball coverage across the world.
Checkout the Softball America coverage here: https://www.on3.com/softball/
The goal for Tara and her Great Britain National Team is to qualify for the Olympics in 2028 in Los Angeles. This will give her and her players plenty of time to develop the talent over there, to give themselves a chance to qualify in four years.
Our conversation is amazing as we hear some of her stories as a player as well as a coach. We'll chat about her experience going back to school and what she learned during her time overseas. (it's very unique and intriguing). I will ask her about her mentors and what she learned from them, and I'll even get to hear what she says about her favorite place she's traveled with softball.
Make sure to tap into this one, take notes, and share with a friend or family member who could benefit from this!

Gabe Tanner is a current student-athlete for Columbia High School out of Nampa, ID. He came to Idaho from Chicago when he was younger, and he has major aspirations to compete in athletics at the next level.
Today we get to hear what it's like for him to compete as a dual sport athlete in both baseball and football and the lessons he's learned along the way. It's a great opportunity to hear from a young man who is still competing in high school. It gives a great inside look, at what it's like to be a high school athlete and I know many aspiring athletes and even their parents will truly enjoy this conversation.
Some of the topics we touch base on today include Gabe's routines on a day to day basis, how he trains, how he preps for games, some of his favorite memories, some of his failures, teammates and mentors who have left an impact on him, what he does off the field, and what his aspirations are moving forward. Gabe is a solid young man who is a leader.
He works on leading from the front and helping set the tone for the next generation coming up. I'd ask that you consider hitting me with that follow here on YouTube to help me build this platform. Colorado State Women's basketball is where Annie Brady calls home. Where she once played, she's now on the coaching staff. In her new position, she's bringing an incredible skillset and expertise to the mix.
Today I sit down with Annie as we chat about her sports background. What she learned playing junior college (JUCO) volleyball and basketball at Salt Lake Community College, and then what she learned heading to Colorado State.
We also learn about her experience serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and what she was able to take with her through the other parts of her life. When you understand that there's a bigger plan in place for you, it changes the way in which you go about things and handle some of the difficult situations in life.
Transitioning to the coaching world also isn't easy, but we get to hear about what she's learned in her short tenure as an Assistant Coach at Colorado State and it's something you don't want to miss!! Today I sit down with legendary tennis coach Dave Porter, who retired from BYU Tennis in 2023 after an incredible 40+ year coaching career. Dave's journey is nothing short of inspiring, and we dive into his impressive playing career and the pivotal decision he made to focus solely on tennis rather than pursuing both tennis and basketball.
Dave's transition into coaching was just as remarkable as his playing career. He has coached both professional and collegiate athletes, and we discuss the distinct differences between coaching professional tennis players versus collegiate athletes. His experience in both arenas provides a unique perspective on player development, discipline, and competition at the highest levels.
Beyond the technicalities of tennis, Dave shares powerful life lessons the sport has taught him over the years. From overcoming adversity to understanding the importance of hard work and commitment, his wisdom is invaluable for anyone looking to grow both on and off the court.
Join us for this insightful conversation as we explore the depth of Dave Porter's legacy in tennis and coaching. Whether you're a tennis fan, an aspiring coach, or just someone who loves hearing from top-tier professionals, this episode is packed with great insights.
Tune in now to The Gametime Guru and gain lessons that transcend tennis, coming from a coach who has dedicated his life to the sport!

Back in my senior year of high school, one of our most unforgettable games was against Highland at the Idaho Center—a place that holds so many great basketball memories here in Idaho. That game featured Wil Carter, a talented player who has since taken his basketball career to incredible heights. Now, nearly two decades later, I’m thrilled to bring Wil on the show to share his journey.

In this episode we are circling back with Jordan Brady, who was recently named the Director of Player Development for BYU Men's Basketball program. Jordan was on Episode 75 of the show back in 2018 as you can see here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3woUBIYNn7MFJTrUe1yY6S?si=3CgUKMmLTEuFKScPuqDCiw and today we have an opportunity to catch up and see what he's been up to the last 6 years in his coaching journey in this incredible sport of basketball.
From coaching in the G-League, to going overseas, to taking some time off, to now being in charge of player development, Jordan knows a thing or two about the game.
We'll chat about some of the lessons he's learned from some of the athletes he's been around and we'll chat with him about what he intends to do with this program now that he's at BYU.
We converse about his favorite memories in his coaching career as well thus far and the goal of this episode is to educate the younger athletes on a few things they should take note on if they have aspirations to play at the next level.
