In this heartfelt Mother’s Day conversation, Shamira answers 10 spontaneous questions about her mother, motherhood, legacy, prayer, joy, and what it means to raise children with Jesus in today’s world.

  • Are Christian parents unknowingly opening doors in their homes that affect their children for years to come?

In a culture that constantly pushes new parenting trends, it can be difficult to know what is truly healthy, biblical, and life-giving for our families.

In this podcast, we talk honestly about the viral “naked mom” trend on TikTok and social media, and why Christian parents need wisdom, discernment, and healthy boundaries in the home.

We dive into important conversations around modesty, body image, shame, privacy, identity in Christ, and how to teach children about their bodies in a safe and biblical way. Many parents today are trying to avoid shame around sexuality, but sometimes swing from one extreme to another without realizing the long-term impact it can have on children.

    If you’ve ever wondered:

    • How do we raise children with a healthy biblical view of the body?

    • What are healthy family boundaries?

    • How do we protect our kids from confusion and abuse?

    • How do we talk about sexuality in a Christ-centered way?

    • How can Christian parenting be both loving and wise in today’s culture?

…then this conversation is for you.

  • Have you ever wondered if your phone is quietly stealing your peace, your presence, and even your family moments?

In a world where parents are constantly distracted, overwhelmed, and pulled in every direction, this podcast is a gentle but honest wake-up call.

In this podcast, I share why I have lived without a phone for the last 7 years, how it completely changed my family life, and why I’ve never wanted to go back.

This is not about legalism or judging technology. It’s about learning to be present again, hearing the voice of God more clearly, and building a peaceful, intentional home in a distracted world.

As Christian moms and dads, many of us feel the tension:

    • We want to disciple our children, but screens consume our attention.

    • We long for deeper family connection, but constant notifications pull us away.

    • We desire a slower, Christ-centered life, but modern culture keeps us rushed, anxious, and mentally exhausted.

I know these struggles are real. I’ve seen them all around me, and honestly, I saw how easy it would be for me to become distracted too. That’s why I made a radical choice years ago, one that brought more freedom, more margin, more peace, and more connection with the Holy Spirit than I ever expected.

In this conversation, I share practical ways to reduce phone addiction, become more intentional with technology, and create more meaningful family rhythms without fear or pressure. Whether you want to fully unplug or simply create healthier boundaries with your smartphone, I pray this encourages you.

At The Family Oasis, we believe strong families are built through intentional living, biblical parenting, and making room for what truly matters.

If this podcast encouraged you, share your thoughts in the comments. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by screens or distracted parenting?

We’d love to hear your story.

Thank you for being here. Slow down today. Look up. Be present. Your family is worth it.

  • Transitions can test a marriage more than we expect. Moving, changing seasons, financial pressure, saying goodbye, starting again — all of it can reveal where we are trusting God and where we are trying to stay in control.

In this podcast, we share honestly about moving five times in seven years, preparing for another international transition, and how these seasons have stretched our marriage, our faith, and our family life.

We are very different. One of us runs quickly toward the next season, dreaming and preparing. The other needs time to grieve, process, and finish well. Maybe you can relate.

As Christian parents, transitions are not only about packing boxes or finding the next home. They touch your children, your peace, your finances, your routines, your marriage, your emotions, and your trust in God. It can feel exciting, overwhelming, painful, and faith-stretching all at once.

But we have learned that peace does not come from having every detail figured out. Peace comes from going first to the Holy Spirit, renewing our minds, and choosing agreement even when we process things differently.

In this conversation, we talk about faith in the unknown, financial pressure, unity in marriage, finishing well, and trusting that God is still a good Father in the middle of the in-between.

Our prayer is that this encourages you to build a Christ-centered family life, not by control or perfection, but by staying close to God, honoring one another, and walking through change with faith.

Welcome to The Family Oasis — a place for Christian parents who want to raise their families with intention, healing, hope, and the presence of God.

If this encouraged you, we would love for you to like the podcast, subscribe, and share it with another family walking through transition. And let us know in the comments: what kind of transition is your family facing right now?

  • What would we do differently if we could start parenting all over again?

After more than 20 years of raising children, supporting families, and walking with God through the messy, beautiful reality of family life, we can honestly say this: some lessons came later than we wish.

In this podcast, we share the parenting mistakes we made — not to bring guilt, but to offer wisdom, hope, and practical encouragement for Christian parents who want to build a Christ-centered home.

We talk openly about inner healing, marriage communication, conflict, poverty mentality, creating family memories, cuddling our children while they are young, one-on-one time with each child, silent treatment in marriage, selfishness, and the need for godly mentors.

So many Christian parents are trying to raise strong, faith-filled children while carrying unhealed wounds, marriage tension, financial fear, exhaustion, and pressure to “get it right.”

But here is the good news: God is not finished with your family. It is never too late for healing, growth, repentance, restoration, and a new way forward.

At The Family Oasis, we believe parenting is not about perfection. It is about surrender, intentionality, humility, and allowing Jesus to transform us first so we can lead our children with wisdom, love, and truth.

Whether you are a new parent, raising teenagers, preparing for marriage, or looking back with a few regrets of your own, this conversation will encourage you to slow down, heal deeply, communicate honestly, and build a family legacy that honors God.

If this podcast speaks to you, leave a comment and share one lesson you wish you had learned earlier in parenting or marriage. Your story may encourage another parent today.

And if you want more biblical parenting encouragement, practical Christian family advice, and honest conversations about building a Christ-centered home, subscribe to The Family Oasis and share this podcast with a parent who needs hope.

  • If your toddler only wants Mommy or Daddy—and everything turns into a meltdown when the other parent steps in—this is more than just a phase… it can quietly create distance in your family.

In this podcast, we unpack why this happens and how to respond in a way that strengthens—not divides—your home. Because many Christian parents face this tension: one parent feels rejected, the other overwhelmed, and suddenly you’re no longer moving as a team.

The truth? This is often about habit, security, and routine—not rejection. But how you handle it matters. Giving in too quickly or stepping back too soon can unintentionally block the bond between your child and the other parent.

At The Family Oasis, we believe parenting is a calling to lead with intention. That means creating space for both parents to build connection, even when it’s uncomfortable.

    In this podcast, you’ll discover:

    – Why your child prefers one parent

    – What parents often do wrong (without realizing it)

    – How to build a healthy bond with both parents

    – Practical ways to stay united as a couple

And in the middle of the noise, don’t forget—God is present there too. Sometimes faith looks like choosing unity, patience, and humility in the small, daily moments.

    If this is your season!!!

  • Bringing a new baby home… and suddenly your sweet toddler is melting down, clingy, or acting out? You’re not failing—this is a real transition.

And what looks like jealousy is often a deeper question: “Do I still belong?”

In this podcast, we show you how to handle toddler jealousy after a new baby with calm, Christ-centered parenting—so you don’t lose your firstborn’s heart in the process.

Because many Christian parents face this quietly: feeling torn, overwhelmed, and wondering if they’re getting it wrong.

Here’s the shift: Your toddler doesn’t need a perfect parent—they need a steady one.

    Inside, you’ll learn:

    • How to prepare your toddler before the baby arrives

    • What jealousy really means (and how to respond)

    • Simple ways to handle meltdowns without chaos

    • The “10-minute connection” that changes everything

    • What to say in real-life moments

This isn’t about control—it’s about connection, security, and leading your child with love and truth. And in the middle of the noise and exhaustion, God is still present. He meets you right where you are and gives you what you need for this season.

At The Family Oasis, we’re here to help you build a strong, intentional, Christ-centered family.

  • Does it scare you when your baby hits their head on purpose?Your heart drops, your mind races… “Is something wrong with my child?”

Let’s bring truth, peace, and clarity into that moment.

In this podcast, we’re unpacking why babies and toddlers hit their head, what’s actually going on in their little bodies, and—most importantly—what you can do right now as a parent.

    If you’ve ever felt:

-Confused during tantrums or bedtime struggles

-Worried something might be developmentally wrong

-Helpless watching your child express big emotions

You are not alone—and you are not failing.

The truth is, in most cases, this behavior is not dangerous. It’s often your baby’s way of:

    -Self-soothing their nervous system

    -Releasing overwhelming emotions

-Seeking sensory input when they feel unsettled

And as Christian parents, we’re not just managing behavior—we’re called to shepherd hearts with wisdom, calm, and the peace of Christ.

    In this podcast, you’ll learn:

-Why head banging happens (and when it’s normal)

-Practical parenting steps to respond calmly and effectively

-How to create a safe environment without fear or overreaction

-Clear red flags you should never ignore

-A faith-centered perspective to bring peace into your home

Because sometimes, what looks like “bad behavior”…is actually a small nervous system crying out for peace, comfort, and presence. And you, as a parent, have the incredible opportunity to partner with God in that moment—to bring calm, safety, and truth into your child’s world.

At The Family Oasis, we believe parenting isn’t just about control—it’s about connection, discipleship, and inviting God into the everyday moments that feel messy and overwhelming.

So if this is happening in your home tonight: Take a breath. Stay steady. Speak peace. And remember—God is with you in this.

  • Is your teen vaping… or just surrounded by it? Before fear takes over and conversations turn into conflict, there’s a better way to lead your child with truth, wisdom, and relationship.

In this podcast, we’re talking about a growing reality many Christian parents are facing today: vaping among teens.

Not just what it is—but how to respond as a parent in a way that actually protects your child’s heart, not just their behavior.

Because let’s be honest… When you suspect something, it’s easy to panic. To lecture. To tighten control. And suddenly, instead of connection—you feel distance.

But your calling isn’t just to correct behavior. It’s to disciple, to shepherd, and to raise a young person who can stand firm in their faith—even when it costs them socially.

    In this podcast, you’ll learn:

-How to start the conversation without pushing your teen away

-What not to say (even if it feels justified in the moment)

-How to set clear, loving boundaries that bring safety—not rebellion

-And how to address the deeper “why” behind behaviors like vaping

Whether you’re navigating fear, confusion, or even guilt as a parent—there is hope. God has entrusted you with your child, and He equips you to lead with both truth and grace.

At The Family Oasis, we believe in building a Christ-centered family where conversations are honest, faith is lived out daily, and children are raised to walk with Jesus in real life.

You are not behind. You are not powerless. Stay calm. Stay close. Stay consistent.

  • Ever feel like every “no” turns into a battle with your toddler? You stay calm… they push harder… and suddenly it’s no longer about the remote, the dog bowl, or bedtime — it’s a full power struggle.

If you’re tired of yelling, repeating yourself, or giving in just to keep the peace, this podcast is for you.

In today’s podcast, we’re talking about how to stop toddler power struggles without yelling or giving in. You’ll learn a simple, practical 3-step method that removes the back-and-forth, strengthens your leadership, and brings calm back into your home.

This is for Christian parents who want to raise obedient, secure kids through calm authority — not fear, chaos, or exhaustion.

Many moms and dads feel stuck between two extremes: reacting in frustration or backing down out of fatigue. In real-life Christian parenting, especially in the toddler years, it’s easy to feel worn out, discouraged, and unsure if you’re doing it right.

But there is another way — one that reflects steady, loving leadership and builds peace in your family.

    We’ll walk through:

    • why toddlers push boundaries (and why it’s normal)

    • what a power struggle really is

    • what to say — and what to stop saying

    • how to follow through calmly and confidently

    • how to handle meltdowns without losing connection

At The Family Oasis, we believe you can correct behavior without crushing your child’s heart. You can be gentle and firm. Kind and unmovable. That’s not harsh — that’s strong, Christ-centered parenting rooted in wisdom and love.

If this encourages you, comment “POWER STRUGGLES” and share what you’re facing. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this with another parent who needs encouragement in this season.

  • Feeling busy, stretched, and a little disconnected as parents?Sometimes the best way to reconnect isn’t another serious conversation — it’s simply laughing together.

In this podcast, we’re playing a simple and fun game for parents: “Who is more likely to…?

”We read each question and point to the parent who fits best — with a short explanation. It’s light, honest, and surprisingly powerful for connection.

For many Christian families, the daily rhythm of work, school, responsibilities, and Christian parenting can feel overwhelming. Between discipline, routines, and trying to raise children with biblical wisdom, couples often forget to pause and enjoy each other.

At The Family Oasis, we believe a strong Christ-centered family is built not only through intentional parenting and faith-based leadership, but also through joy, presence, and shared moments.

Sometimes laughter opens hearts more than long conversations ever could.

If you’ve been longing for more connection in your marriage and family life — this is for you.

Take turns reading each question and pointing to the parent who fits best:

    1. Who is more likely to forget where they put their phone… while holding it

    2. Who is more likely to stay calm when a kid spills something at the worst moment?

    3. Who is more likely to be the “fun parent” and say yes to messy activities?

    4. Who is more likely to be strict about bedtimes but secretly love cuddles the most?

    5. Who is more likely to give the best pep talk after a hard day?

    6. Who is more likely to read a parenting book/article and actually apply it?

    7. Who is more likely to apologize first to the kids after overreacting?

    8. Who is more likely to plan a family outing and pack everything perfectly?

    9. Who is more likely to handle school emails/appointments and stay organized?

    10. Who is more likely to start packing the suitcases weeks in advance “just to be ready”?

If you’re a single parent, grab a close friend and play too.

If this encouraged you, tell us in the comments: Which question made you laugh the most?

  • You want to correct your child… but you don’t want to crush their spirit. You don’t want fearful children. You don’t want entitled ones either. So how do you discipline in a way that builds their heart instead of breaking it?

In this podcast, we talk about how to correct without crushing — a Christ-centered approach to child discipline that protects connection while addressing behavior.

In today’s parenting culture, many Christian families feel pulled to extremes. Some homes lean toward control and harshness. Others drift into permissiveness and unclear boundaries. But neither creates security. And deep down, every mom and dad knows it.

Children need both relationship and authority. When discipline damages connection, something is broken. When connection exists without leadership, something is missing.

If you care about Christian parenting, about raising children with strong identity and steady boundaries, this message will encourage you.

    We explore:

    – How to discipline without shaming

    – Why separating identity from behavior changes everything

    – The difference between conviction and shame

    – How calm authority builds long-term trust

    – What biblical discipline actually looks like in everyday family life.

Scripture shows us that God corrects without rejecting. His discipline restores; it doesn’t humiliate. That’s the model for intentional, Spirit-led parenting.

When we say: “I love you completely.” “This behavior is not acceptable. ”We are teaching accountability without attacking identity. That’s how discipline becomes discipleship.

If you’ve ever corrected from emotional overload…

If you’ve felt the tension between being firm and being gentle… If you long to build a Christ-centered family life rooted in grace and truth…

    There is hope.

At The Family Oasis, we believe strong families aren’t built on flawless parenting. They’re built on repentance, repair, consistency, and courage. You can lead your children with clarity and compassion at the same time.

Authority doesn’t require anger. Boundaries don’t require fear. And correction, done well, anchors your child instead of wounding them.

If this encouraged you, let us know in the comments: What’s harder for you — staying calm, or staying consistent?

Like the podcast, subscribe, and share it with another Christian parent who wants to grow in intentional parenting and biblical family leadership.

Let’s build homes where love is strong, truth is clear, and Jesus is at the center.

  • What if the greatest mission field God has entrusted to you… isn’t your job, your church, or your calling out there—but your home?

What if the most powerful revival starts around your kitchen table?

In this podcast, we share the story behind The Family Oasis—why we started, the unexpected road that led us here, and the heart behind our mission to help Christian parents build a peaceful, Christ-centered home.

If you love your children but feel overwhelmed…If your marriage feels stretched under the weight of parenting…If you long for intentional Christian parenting but sometimes feel like you’re just surviving the chaos…You are not alone. For years, we served in family ministry in Switzerland, never planning to start something of our own. Then God asked us to lay everything down.

He led us into seasons of surrender, missionary life, identity rebuilding, and deep inner healing. It was painful. It was humbling. And it was holy. Looking back, we see it clearly: God was preparing us to serve families in a deeper way.

On that journey, we witnessed the real struggles Christian families face today:

Burnout in parenting, Strained marriages, Identity confusion in children, Pressure on pastors and missionary families, Homes that love Jesus—but lack peace

We realized something simple but powerful:

Biblical parenting is not just about behavior management. It’s about heart transformation. It’s about healing while you raise your children. It’s about building a strong family culture rooted in Christ.

At The Family Oasis, our mission is clear:

To help parents raise children with a deep identity in Christ. To strengthen Christian marriages. To teach practical, Bible-based parenting. To bring emotional and spiritual healing into homes. To help families create a home filled with peace, joy, and discipleship.

We don’t believe children need perfect parents. They need present parents—parents who repent, grow, listen to the Holy Spirit, and model real faith.

We believe the next revival will not come from louder platforms. It will rise from healthy Christian families

.If you feel behind… if your home feels messy… if you’re longing for change—hear this clearly: God is not intimidated by your struggle. He is inviting you into restoration. Your home can become an oasis. Not perfect. But peaceful. Not flawless. But filled with His presence.

If this message resonates with you, subscribe and join our growing community of Christian parents pursuing intentional family life.

  • Valentine’s Day hits differently when real life is involved. For some, it’s flowers and romance. For others, it’s quiet… heavy… and lonely. And the truth is, February 14th doesn’t feel the same for every Christian family.

In this podcast, we talk honestly about love, loneliness, marriage struggles, and single parenting. Just real life, through a Christ-centered lens.

For couples, Valentine’s Day can quietly expose cracks. Not because love is gone—but because life is full. You’re tired. Parenting little ones or teenagers. Managing finances. Navigating emotions. Maybe even sickness. And suddenly there’s pressure to “feel romantic” on command.

Here’s the truth: Love isn’t a feeling you perform once a year. It’s a covenant you live daily. If your marriage feels disconnected, this day is not proof you’re failing. It’s an invitation. An invitation to pause. To reconnect intentionally. To choose one small step—sit on the couch and talk, pray together again, plan a quiet dinner after the kids are asleep, choose gentleness over criticism.Strong Christian marriages don’t thrive by accident. They grow through intentional, proactive decisions. A thriving marriage is built on purpose.

    Now, to the single parents.

Valentine’s Day can feel like salt in a wound. You didn’t plan this life. You didn’t choose to carry everything alone. Yet here you are—showing up every single day for your children. You are strong. But strength doesn’t erase loneliness.

Comparison makes it worse. Social media shows perfect dates and perfect smiles. But many married couples are struggling too. Loneliness exists in more homes than we admit.

Love is not absent from your life—it may just look different right now. Jesus is our Bridegroom. Married or single, no spouse can fulfill what only He can. His love is not second-class. It is steady, faithful, and present.

Why not invite Him intentionally into this day? Light a candle. Play worship music. Open your Bible. Pour out your heart honestly. That is not settling. That is anchoring your heart in something eternal.

One of the biggest traps on Valentine’s Day is comparison. Comparison distorts reality and steals gratitude. You don’t need someone else’s story to live yours faithfully.

And for every Christian parent watching:Invite God into today—not as an idea, but as a companion in your real life. Whether you’re celebrating or simply surviving, God sees you. His love is present when the table is full and when the house is quiet. You are deeply known. Deeply loved. Not walking alone.

  • Are you a dad who loves his family—but feels stuck, hesitant, or unsure how to truly lead at home?

In this podcast, I share my biggest challenge as a father—and how God used it to expose fear, heal old wounds.

We talk honestly about what many Christian dads struggle with but rarely say out loud:

-Wanting to be present, but not knowing how

-Carrying hidden fears of failure or rejection

-The power of inner healing to heal old wounds that keep us from walking in the identity God has given us.

At The Family Oasis, we believe strong families start with healed hearts and intentional leadership. You don’t have to repeat what you didn’t receive.

In Christ, you can become the man your children need and the husband your wife can stand beside with peace.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about courage. Showing up—day by day—and saying yes to the role God entrusted to you.

If this encouraged you, take a moment to like the podcast, subscribe to the channel, and share it with another dad who might need hope today.

And let us know in the comments—what’s one area where God is inviting you to grow as a father?

You’re not alone. Let’s rise up together and build Christ-centered homes—on purpose.

  • If motherhood has made you feel like you disappeared, this podcast is for you. If you’ve ever thought, “Who am I now?”—you’re not crazy, and you’re not alone.

In this episode, we talk about one of the biggest struggles many Christian moms quietly carry: an identity crisis after becoming a mom. Not because you don’t love your children—but because the weight of diapers, dishes, and expectations can swallow your sense of purpose.

I’m sharing my own turning point: going from a fast-track career (with a promotion already in writing) to staying home in obedience… and realizing how tightly my worth was tied to a title. But the Holy Spirit cut through the noise with a simple truth: your identity is not in what you do—it’s in who God says you are.

Together, we’ll anchor your heart in Scripture and rebuild from the inside out:2 Corinthians 5:17 — You are a new creation in ChristGalatians 2:20 — Christ lives in youIsaiah 43:1 — God called you by name; you are His.

If you’ve been battling shame, comparison, loneliness, or the “just a mom” lie, this is your reminder: motherhood didn’t erase your calling. God is meeting you right in the mess—and He sees every act of faithfulness. (Colossians 3:23)

At The Family Oasis, we believe Christian parenting isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence, discipleship, and living from your identity in Christ. Your home can become holy ground again, not by trying harder, but by returning to Jesus as your true foundation.

Have you ever felt like you lost yourself in motherhood? Comment below so we can encourage each other.

  • Feeling unsure about your place as a grandparent? Wondering if your prayers still matter—or how to pass on faith without crossing lines?

This podcast is for you, and it could strengthen your whole family.

Today on The Family Oasis, we’re talking about the grandparent role God designed: how to pass on faith across generations with wisdom, warmth, and spiritual strength—without overstepping or creating tension with your adult children.

Many Christian grandparents carry quiet pain: You love your grandkids deeply… but you don’t want to interfere. You want to help… but you’re afraid of being misunderstood. You see things differently than the parents… and you don’t know when to speak, when to stay silent, or how to stay close.

Here’s the hope: you are not on the sidelines.

Scripture shows us that faith is meant to be passed down—lived, repeated, and modeled. Grandparents bring perspective, testimony, patience, and a spiritual authority that only comes through years of walking with God.

    In this podcast, we’ll cover:

-Why your prayers are not “extra”—they’re spiritual covering

-How to honor your adult children as parents (and why honor opens doors)

-What to do when you disagree—without damaging the relationship

-Simple, practical ways to disciple your grandchildren gently (without being pushy)

-How God can redeem regrets and start a new chapter at any age

We’ll get real about boundaries, unity, and influence—because influence flows through love, not pressure. If you’re a Christian grandparent (or anyone with spiritual influence), this is part of your calling: generational discipleship, building a legacy, and helping your family walk with Jesus in everyday life.

Join the conversation: What is one thing you regularly pray over your grandchildren? Drop it in the comments—your words may encourage another grandparent today.

If this helped you, please like, subscribe, and share it with a grandparent you love (or send it to your mom or dad). Thanks for being part of The Family Oasis community—where we help families grow strong in faith, truth, and love.

  • If your kids keep fighting, you’re not failing—you’re worn out. The yelling, the arguing, the constant “Moooom!” can make your home feel like a battleground instead of a place of peace.

In this podcast (Part 2), we’ll show you practical, Christ-centered ways to reduce sibling conflict without guilt, without panic, and without losing your mind—so you can build a peaceful home culture that actually sticks.

If you havent’t, watch Part 1 first:

Kids Always Fighting? Christian Parenting Tips to Calm Conflict and Bring Peace Back Home

    https://youtu.be/OXuGwjFztoI

It lays the foundation for everything we teach here.

Sibling rivalry isn’t just “bad behavior.” It’s a training ground—where your children learn disagreement, boundaries, big emotions, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

The goal isn’t to raise kids who never conflict… it’s to raise kids who learn to fight fairly, reconcile quickly, and grow in wisdom.

    Here’s what we cover:

-How “unconscious parenting” can accidentally reinforce unhealthy patterns

-A simple way to build kindness before big fights (yes, even with eye-rolls)

-Teaching everyday honor: “please,” “thank you,” “forgive me,” and the game-changer—“I’m happy for you”

-Why chores build empathy and reduce sibling rivalry over time

-The heart shift: letting the Holy Spirit transform us first—because kids imitate before they obey.

You’re doing kingdom work, parent. And you don’t have to do it alone. This is the heart behind The Family Oasis—helping families build homes marked by love, respect, mercy, and unity.

If this encouraged you, like, comment (tell us what your kids fight about most), subscribe, and share it with a parent who needs peace today.
