Stress is an inside job. It is how we respond or react to a stressor that makes all the difference. If we are mentally stressed, we understand that means we are doing too much, resting too little, our minds are too busy, and a lot of what we are doing is psychologically and emotionally harmful. But our bodies can be stressed too. On a physical level we can be stressed by lifting heavy weights, running, pushing ourselves to the limits.
And what stresses our bodies metabolically? Well, following suit, it is pushing our metabolism to the limit.
Our bodies are designed to extract nutrients from our food, put those nutrients into cells, and grow more, healthier cells.
To do this, we handle a delicate balance of metabolic hormones, every day.
I walk you through the basics in this short podcast episode!

Fads fade fast.
NEWS FLASH… low carb is not a “fad,” but rather a lifestyle change.
While it can be adopted for a short period of time, you are merely scratching the surface of what can be achieved over the long haul.
Not sure if you can manage the low carb lifestyle?
Trust me, you can. And it is pretty simple, but that’s not to say it is effortless.
In this episode I'll demonstrate why the low carb way of eating is far from a "fad".

Passion represents one of the most important aspects of becoming a successful entrepreneur or corporate exec. Without passion your business endeavors will turn out to be just another J-O-B. Yuck to that!
This is where the “fire in the belly” comes in. It’s that drive that propels you forward in the face of failure. It’s that idea that wakes you in the middle of the night and ignites unparalleled creativity. It’s that sense of purpose that keeps you on task in the face of life’s plethora of distractions.
Let's fan the flames together in this episode of the EXECUpreneur's EDGE Podcast!

When people think of pollutants, they think about chemicals, radiation, or pesticide residue. No matter how natural or unnatural the pollutant is, at the end of the day, most people define pollutants in purely physical terms.
The bottom-line problem is that the most dangerous pollutants in our lives are things that we cannot see, nor measure. These pollutants and toxins distort our sense of personhood. They change our mindsets in dangerous ways.
Think about it, if you can detect something, you only need to see a sign. You only need to come prepared.
If you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, desperate, depressed or simply bummed out, maybe it’s because you’ve exposed yourself to these invisible non-material pollutants. Just because you can’t readily see them, doesn’t take their danger away.
No matter how you define it, and regardless of the angle from which you look at these issues, it is bad news. Now if you’re still unclear, here are the three most common forms of invisible non-material pollutants.

Building an empire. Leaving a legacy. Forging a path where there was none before. Making a lasting impact on the world. These are the things that motivate many to wade into the EXECUpreneurial waters.
Or maybe it’s the lure of being your own boss. Being at the helm; in charge. Never again having to answer to some blowhard boss who couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag. Being one’s own boss sure sounds better than working for someone who is less qualified than you. Or worse, a micromanager!
In steps the always sexy, sure to entice EXECUpreneurial Lifestyle.
Private yachts, lobster benedict & mimosas for breakfast, weekly massages & mani/pedis, butlers, exotic travel, a personal shopper, and a driver at your beck and call behind the wheel of a drool-worthy luxury vehicle…
Sexy? Yes. Realistic? I think not. For most of us that is.
In all honesty, I don’t want all of that excess. If you do, good on ya and go get ‘em Tiger. You can apply the same principles I uncover in this work, just as well as the person for whom I created it.
Let's do a deeper dive together in this episode...

A “Whole”-istic detox works with the complete person. Please understand that you’re not just your skin, bones, muscle tissue, hair, digestive system, circulatory system, and reproductive system. You’re made up of more than that.
It is no surprise that a lot of detox programs currently being promoted flat out fail. They don’t even come close to delivering the benefits they’re supposed to bring to the table. How can they? They are positioned in such a way that they are supposed to deal only with your body, your blood chemistry, and other physical elements.
But the reality is, you are more than the sum of your parts; you are more than your body. You’re more than your ability to perceive. You are also your experiences, your memory, and your potential. And your mindset. If you want a good example of this, look at a person’s life before and after they develop Alzheimer’s. They are a completely different person, yet look primarily the same.
It is tragic. Heartbreaking in fact.
In this episode, I introduce the concept of the "Whole"-istic detox and why it is superior to all others.

I am at a loss...
A loss for how "nutritional advice" became such a train wreck. But alas...it is a train wreck of epic proportions!
When money started swapping hands in the spirit of "research", we went off the tracks. (Alright, enough with the locomotive train of thought...)
The issue at hand is that this one man, whom I introduce in this podcast, was able to single handedly derail our collective relationship to food. (One more train reference snuck in; I couldn't help it!)
Real food is food that was once alive, not the stuff most people consume in the name of "food". Real food grew on a stem, vine, tree or in the ground. Or it walked around on hooves or feet...or maybe it swam or flew. No matter the means by which it grew or moved around, it was full of life energy before it ended up on your fork.
When the man I am about to introduce you to came on the nutrition scene, in my opinion, he single-handedly changed the way we eat. He published a landmark "study" that people ate up as if it was gospel. And anyone who dared question his "research" was professionally vilified, by this nutrition thug and his cronies.
I could go on and on...
I'll catch you up to speed in this episode. Take a deep centering breath and let's do this!

If you want to obtain success on your entrepreneurial journey, you have to face your fears. Now in all actuality, fear sets out to protect you mentally, that’s really what it is up to.
Good intentions aside, fear is not your ally.

I agree with Socrates on many a thing. One with which I strongly align is his philosophy that “the unexamined life is not worth living”. I’m in 100% alignment there.
Let’s apply that to business.
I propose to you that the business that is not continually examined and re-examined on every measurable level, is a business not worth owning. I'll share why in this episode of the EXECUpreneur's EDGE Podcast...

EXECUpreneur is a hybrid word. I like to use it because the principles I will discuss in the EXECUpreneur’s EDGE apply to those in the entrepreneurial space as well as corporate executives. Hence, EXECUpreneur is a perfect term to use.
Both roles take a certain set of skills, a specific blend of character traits and a hefty, hefty, hefty bag of tricks.
The entrepreneur takes on a different set of risks than the executive, indeed. But they both take risks in their day-to-day. They are both high-achievers. And they are both visionaries to a degree.

Procrastination is the default setting of the modern American.
We tend to undervalue the destruction procrastination leaves in its wake. The total cost is incalculable when it comes to our health.
We can joke about the trials and tribulations of our procrastination habit. But there’s really nothing funny about it when it comes to our health and well being. Truth be told, procrastination is pretty much the most crippling behavior there is. It derails lives, one instance at a time.
In today's episode, I'll share with you the 5 simple steps I consistently used to overcome my own crippling procrastination habit.

To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to have the self-confidence to face the many challenges you will encounter along your journey. There will be many times when you will have to step out of your comfort zone and do things that are uncomfortable.
If you are struggling with self-confidence, I share five tips that can help you build your confidence so that you can find success in your entrepreneurial venture in this quick episode.

Self-doubt is one of the primary reasons many don’t take action towards losing weight, again.
The truth of the matter is we all face times where our fear of failure outweighs our self-confidence.
Self-doubt can be attributed to many of these fears. The feeling that we’re not good enough, smart enough, nor creative enough is crippling. Add to that past weight loss failures and we up the level of busy-ness so we get a temporary reprieve.
I'll break down the cycle in this episode of the EXECUpreneur's EDGE Podcast.

Are you constantly searching for new ways to become more productive?
Making progress?
It seems that in this day and age there are simply too many distractions that we have to face on a regular basis. Everyone is given the same amount of time each day, yet few people find a way to actually use it to move the proverbial needle of their life.
These 4 tips will help you be more productive without losing your marbles...

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had it with the so-called “weight loss experts”. Calling them used car salesmen would be an insult to used car salesmen.
If I hear one more say “Eat Less, Move More” I’m going to scream!
That is not how weight loss works, fat loss in particular.
Instead of giving you a fish, or even teaching you to fish, I teach you how to know exactly when and where to catch the most sought-after fish (fat loss). And when that stops working (because the body accommodates to your approach) you learn how to modify your strategy. (Side note…you do not have to like fish to work with me. It is just a fitting metaphor.)
Learn more in this episode...fishing pole optional.

Most people I speak with think their beliefs are like their wardrobe. They’re basically stuck with what they’ve got. Every day they simply walk up to their closet, sift through what’s there, pick something out, wear it, and move on to the next set of clothes the next day. Rinse. Repeat.
If that’s your attitude when it comes to your beliefs, it’s no surprise you are not living your life to your fullest potential. Whether this means enjoying the best job, making the most money in your field, enjoying the best relationships, or looking physically fit, beliefs play a major role in your life. No matter how little awareness you have around the topic, beliefs will continue to remain important in your life.
In this episode we'll explore the topic of personal beliefs. Are you joining me?

In this episode of the EXECUpreneur's EDGE Podcast, I'm busting another nutrition myth that's circulated long enough...
Conventional Wisdom would have you believe that skipping breakfast leads to excessive hunger, cravings and weight gain. And if those aren’t bad enough, there is claim that skipping breakfast can cause your body to break down muscle for energy. Remember the asinine notion of “starvation mode”? (Click to read my blog post on ”Starvation Mode”.)
There is no science to back up this claim…and when traced back to the origination of this misinformation, I found marketing. Yep, you read that right. Specifically marketing for breakfast cereals of all things. Does the name Kellogg sound familiar?
The grain lobby threw their hat in the ring when the whole “Eating Fat Makes You Fat” movement erupted in the mid-1950’s after some junk science made its way mainstream. They saw their opportunity to fill a gap on people’s breakfast tables and they took it! (Click to read my blog post exposing the “Eating Fat Makes You Fat” lie.)
Let's settle the Breakfast debate once and for all...shall we?
Here's another fat fueling recipe to stoke the metabolic fire...and it's "break-fast-y"! https://drsamgraber.wordpress.com/2018/05/11/foodiefriday-sausage-egg-biscuit-breakfast-for-any-time-of-day/
