Hello and welcome back to the Elite Endurance Podcast. Today I'm joined by Johannes Motschmann a 2:11 marathoner who helped the German team secure the Team Silver Medal at the Munich European Championships in 2022. I first met Johannes in St. Moritz training at altitude and since then we've kept in touch. It's been amazing to see him crush some fantastic times over the Half Marathon and Marathon and I can't wait to see what the summer holds him!

After an amazing year, coming top 8 in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, Izzi has continued to impress by running 2:27:54 at the Nagoya Marathon which is the marathon qualifying time for this years World Championships in Budapest. Izzi is for sure on for an amazing season of racing, we catch up with her before she heads out to Japan to run a Half Marathon.
She is also setting her sights on getting back on the track at some point as she has some unfinished business as she wants to break 15 minutes in the 5,000m before she hangs up her racing spikes.
