I am experiencing a shift, and this episode documents my reflections as I embrace and surrender to God's will and the new version of my life that He is building and creating with me.
Internally, I am acting as a 7-figure CEO, and my business's operations run like those of a 7-figure company. I know that means that 7-figure revenue is going to follow.
I need to surrender to my mountain moment to reach that next level. But as that realization gets clearer, I procrastinate because I am scared. I am scared of reaching the top and losing my relationship with the Holy Spirit. I am scared of my pride and the obstacles it may create for me. And I am scared of the inevitable valleys I will have to pull myself out of to get to the top of the next mountain God has planned for me.
I am creating and building a new version of my life by surrendering to God and His will. I am so thankful that through all the challenges I went through this year, I also received the greatest blessing, which is hearing and understanding the voice of God.
This is an emotional and vulnerable episode, and I am so grateful I can share my experiences with all of you as I get ready to climb that mountain.

Doctors have a hard time with the title of “coach.” Why is this term so off-putting to our brains?
In today’s episode, I discuss why doctors struggle to identify as coaches. Instead, we circumvent that role by labeling ourselves as mentors or strategists. Coaching is a multi-billion dollar industry and growing. Any negative feeling we have about the term “coach” is internal, and our hesitation is a projection of our own limiting beliefs onto others.

In today’s episode, I want to continue the conversation about America’s Collective Delusion. I share the four things you need to survive the next four years.
But first, I cannot underscore enough the importance of getting a therapist and a coach. I don’t care what else is happening in the world; you need to find a coach and a therapist right now.
In this season, so much harm is going to be done. It is going to take decades to undo the damage. But with these four things, you will survive, primarily through the doctor and coaching lens.
Nothing will happen to you or your family without God’s permissive will.Do not isolate. Find community and lean into that support.Intellectual property is everything. Now that I have had time to process my thoughts and emotions post-election, I wanted to start the conversation about dealing with the next four years.
Right now, we are in a weird transition time where we feel a storm coming; we are anticipating the hurt and destruction but are stuck in limbo since it hasn’t hit yet. Since election day, I have cycled through all the stages of grief and am finally now in a place where I am ready to go back into service and control what I can control.
America survives on hope. We live in a collective delusion to stay safe. But now that the country has decisively elected a criminal, rapist, and morally bankrupt President, that cycle of delusion is broken. The cards are all laid out on the table, and it is clear that America is deeply, deeply racist.
That omittance has made me feel powerful. Now that the truth is no longer hiding behind our perpetual and collective delusion, it has validated everything I have thought and felt.
Over the past week, I have experienced everything from guttural rage to profound sadness and unexpected joy, and I am choosing to allow myself to feel however I want without guilt. I give you permission and encourage you to do the same.

Today, I want to discuss next steps now that the presidential election has passed. We are all struggling with various stages of grief, anger, and denial. So I pose this question: Where do we go from here?
I am speaking to black women, specifically black women doctors, when I say the answer is go wherever you want to go and do whatever feels good.
Jesus said that if you are doing it for the least of these, you are doing it for me. And one thing this election has shown us is the most disrespected, the most stepped on, and the most unappreciated people in this country and in this world are black women.
So whatever you want to do, I encourage you to do. For some that might mean doing nothing, relaxing, and reflecting on where we are and what may come to pass. For others that might mean pouring yourself into those that God has put you on this Earth to serve. Whatever you decide, I want you to know that is okay. I support you and I am here for you.
Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. Heads down, capes off, prayers up.

Today, I compare two of my recent launches: Audacious Women and IPMD. My process for launches has been the same for years. So why was one launch an incredible success while the other didn’t bring in any sales?
Audacious Women was a great offer. My messaging was on point, and the launch was amazing. But I didn’t make a single sale. That failure brought me down, and I didn’t understand why.
Fast-forward to the launch of IPMD, and I sold an offer within a few days. My results were drastically better, and my mindset was the differentiating factor.
When we sell coaching, we tend to put the onus on the client. If they don’t buy an offer, it’s easy to say that they just weren’t ready, couldn’t afford it, or weren’t the right fit. But the truth is, they didn’t buy it because they didn’t feel safe.
If you don’t properly build a bridge between your client and their transformation or if you don’t give them the confidence that transformation is possible, you failed. Not your client.

We have all been in an uncomfortable sales conversation where we knew our purpose was to meet someone else’s quota. These negative experiences have colored the way we think about selling. Today, I explain why I think about sales differently.
This episode was inspired by a sales call I had with a client. She voiced objections about joining DCS. At that moment I could have run away. Instead, I challenged the way her brain was thinking. I pushed. I embraced being salesy.
Many coaches are afraid to respond to objections. They don’t want to offend, so instead of calling a client out, they retreat. Objections aren't roadblocks, they are opportunities to shift belief. A coach who can navigate objections is a coach who can truly make a difference because no one wants to hire a coach who is afraid to say the hard thing.
Your reluctance to be salesly is holding you back from being the coach that delivers high-value transformation to clients. Beating around the bush isn’t going to overcome objections, and it isn’t serving your people. You have to learn to be okay leaning into the energy of being salesy in service to them.
It's time to stop running from being salesy. It's time to stop running from selling. It's time to stop being scared of using the word sales call.
As a coach, the goal is to help someone shift their beliefs and show them that transformation is possible. The more you are willing to be salesy, the more lives you will transform.

First, I address a heartbreaking situation that struck a chord with me emotionally (Trigger Warning: Suicide). Two doctors chose to take their own lives, and not only is this a devastating situation, but a reminder of how much change needs to happen in the medical world so that doctors can feel comfortable seeking help for their mental health.
For the rest of today’s episode, I pick up the conversation recapping the 3rd quarter in my business. I share the success of the IPMD launch and what made this launch so much more successful than the one in July.
Belief is the foundation of everything, and without it, it doesn’t matter how well you execute; without belief, you won’t get results.
I also touch on refining my IP and why, as coaches, we should always find ways to improve our process because that is the only way to stay in service.
Finally, I discuss the impact emotions have on revenue and how going numb is a zero-dollar situation. To be a successful entrepreneur, you must be willing to feel the good and the bad.

If you want to grow your business, generate more income, and increase your impact, you have to be firm in the belief that your offer can (and will) transform lives. Sometimes, though, that means experiencing discomfort.
Today, I share three examples of how beliefs, or lack of belief, directly impact your sales.
Building belief is a revenue-generating activity. When you are on a sales call, and your potential client’s cavewoman starts throwing out objections, you have to be dialed in and let your abiding certainty take over.
Success as a coach isn’t really about marketing. It’s about your message and getting it to the people needing your help. When you really know who your person is and how you can serve them, you will be able to overcome objections and sign offers because you know your solution will radically transform the person on the other end of that sales call.
Belief is the foundation of sales, and the examples I give today show why that is true so you can see for yourself how discomfort and objections are addressed in DCS. Your lack of belief will kill your revenue. Tune in to learn how your belief impacts the amount of money you make as a coach.

**********************************************************************************The third quarter felt like a whole year! So much has happened in Q3 of 2024, so much has changed, and I am excited to share it with you all.
My internal battery was low in July. I was tired, frustrated, and overwhelmed. Feelings I had about hating my business were still lingering and It was really challenging to work my way out of those negative emotions.
I launched a challenge and even though the messaging was spot on, it wasn’t landing. I didn’t hit my launch goal. I felt detached, confused, and overwhelmed. The problem? I tried to outwork my lack of belief. That doesn’t work. I wasn’t producing from a place of belief and that’s a non-starter.
Then I met with my biz bestie and she shared the second offer she added to her business. That conversation opened my eyes to new possibilities for my business. Our meeting led to the creation of IPMD.

Too many coaches are in a fight-or-flight, freeze-or-appease sales system and don’t even know it.
Fight or flight is about self-preservation. When you are a coach, you seek to provide solutions to others. Those two things are incongruent. So, in a sales system predicated on fight or flight, it is impossible to tap into your clients' needs and desires.
In today’s episode, I explain how to break from a fight-or-flight sales system by focusing on the primary emotion you feel while selling.
A successful business is not run on negative emotions. Learning to lead with positive emotion and put negativity in the backseat will allow you to help clients from a place of love and service.
