The CyBUr Guy Podcast returns for 2024 with Retired FBI Special Agent, Author, and Speaker, Scott Augenbuam. We celebrate the 5th anniversary of his best-seller "The Secrets to Cybersecurity" and talk about why the principles in his book still resonate today, where we need to go going forward, and other cyber stuff, as only he can present it.
I also talk about where the heck I have been and why this episode is so late in coming.

As we enter 2024, I am doing a dual-cast (is that even a word) that I am putting on both the CyBUr Smart Morning News Update and CyBUr Guy Podcast feeds. This will lay out my thoughts for both podcasts for 2024, a quick look at my "cyber" predictions for 2024, and thank everyone for listening and supporting both efforts.

Last month I was at the National Cyber Summit in Huntsville and I interviewed a bunch of folks about their particular cyber area of interest, their business, or how they got into cybersecurity. My first interview for the podcast is with Joseph Miller of Aeyon and his unique entry into the cybersecurity community. More interviews coming sooner rather than later.

In this episode, I begin a CyBUr Smart Summer series I am referring to as Origin Stories.
As some of you may know I am working on a couple of side projects to bring cybersecurity leadership and awareness services to businesses and individuals that need it. To that end, on my podcast, I have never really provided what @Russell Brunson calls the Origin Story. This episode will be mine. I realize that everyone has an origin story and we are all trying to pursue our passions, whatever they may be (I assume if you follow me you are somewhere in the cyber/tech world) thus this episode will start a summer series of “Origin Stories”. So I am offering my platform for anyone that would like to talk about their “Origin Story”. It doesn’t even have to be cyber-focused. I think we can all learn from each other.
