The 2024 Winter Games New Zealand has confirmed its program with the return of the first FIS World Cup events held in the country since 2019.
Ten world-class events are set to be held across alpine, freeride and park and pipe disciplines between the 23rd of August and the 9th of September in Queenstown and Wānaka.
The decision has pleased all involved with Winter Games NZ CEO, Martin Toomey looking forward to some overseas and New Zealand stars excelling.

As calving season approaches, so does the increased risk of sprain and strain injuries for dairy farmers. However, scientists and farmers have joined forces to find ways of avoiding these common injuries during spring, to help farmers keep farming when they are at their busiest.
DairyNZ’s three-year Reducing Sprains and Strains project set out to understand the common causes of injuries and work with farmers to develop practical solutions to reduce them on New Zealand dairy farms.
Dr Callum Eastwood, DairyNZ senior scientist, explains that the overall aim was to reduce lost time and productivity and support farmers' wellbeing, especially during calving.

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has announced the Māori All Blacks coaching and management group ahead of their return to the international stage, where they will play two matches against the Japan XV on Saturday 29 June and Saturday 6 July, in Japan.
Chiefs Assistant Coach Ross Filipo (Muaūpoko) has been named as Head Coach, he will be joined by Roger Randle (Ngāti Awa) and Greg Feek (Ngāti Kahungunu) as Assistant Coaches.

Jordan put on a Timbersports masterclass to beat a top international 16-strong field of the best axemen on the planet to win the title for the third year in a row in Milan, Italy early this morning NZ time.
Jordan’s ‘three-peat’ was almost denied by Australian Brad De Losa in a dramatic semi-final which saw the Kiwi edge the Aussie by the smallest of margins, before more comfortably beating his Czech opponent in the final event.
