  • Called Family! In this week’s episode, I want to touch on the fierceness that’s required for you to carry out your calling. It’s important to note that fierceness isn’t synonymous with arrogance. It is an understanding that what is for you must be seized, no matter what!

In life, it’s normal to experience rejections, closed doors, and “no’s” when you’re after something. But when you believe in what God has called you to do, the “no” can’t stop you because you have an inner knowing that you are eternally and divinely accepted.

In order to reach new heights, you must remember that every “no” leads you closer to the yes that can radically change your life!

  • Called Family! I've missed you all tremendously! I have some prophetic entrepreneurial insights I wanted to share with you that couldn't wait until the next official season.

As we’re getting closer to finishing out 2024, many of us are eager to get to the new year. But what if told you, you don't have to wait until January to do the thing God is calling you to do. Now is the time to sow. This week I wanted to drop a special episode to remind you that the thing you’ve been hesitant to start is worth the risk.

The greatest risk you’ll ever take in life is not taking one - because as the old saying goes “where there is no risk, there is no reward”.

  • We all place value on different things. Some people place it on their professional success, while others may place it on building a family. Regardless of what you deem most important, the one thing we all possess that is the most valuable is our name.

This week, I want to delve into the importance of a name. What do people think when they think of you? What do potential investors or business partners say about you when you're not around? Does your name precede you well, or does it deter people from wanting to do business with you? You can have all the success in the world, but if you have a tarnished name, in reality, you have nothing. Your name can be your professional calling card, and today, I want to help you ensure that your name holds value.

Family, I want you to be your absolute best, both personally and professionally. If you missed Called to Illuminate, I have some great news! • In business, when you are trying to scale, people will often say that it's not just about what you know, but who you know. However, adopting this mindset can sometimes lead to a sense of desperation that is easily spotted by successful leaders. As we continue our series, "Business Wisdom Through the Scriptures," I want to pose to you this question: "Is Your Hunger Working Against You?"

In today's episode, we'll delve into Proverbs 23:1-4. These verses advise us to be wise in our interactions with influential people, and to not let our being “hungry” get the best of us. While it's imperative to assess the value of potential investors or business partners at the table, it's equally important for us to remember our personal value to not appear desperate in the room. This episode will teach you the dos and don’ts of doing business with influential people.

Also — Called Family, this Friday and Saturday, the Called to Illuminate conference in Los Angeles is happening, and as of now there are only a few seats left! We are just about sold out for our VIP experience and have a few standard seats remaining. If you're on the fence, take a leap of faith to be in the room. • Called Family, we are back for Week 2 of our new series, "Business Wisdom Through the Scripture." In business and life, we're often encouraged to never settle and always pursue what we want. While I firmly believe we should always be in pursuit of our dreams, there are instances when settling with your opponent can actually work in our favor.

This week, we'll be discussing the topic "Knowing When to Settle." Agreeing with your adversary is not something we often hear about in today's culture, but the Bible encourages us to settle things quickly. This valuable lesson is one that I've learned both the easy way and the hard way, so today, I want to share some tips and tools to help prevent you from falling into a similar situation.

If you're enjoying this series and would like more tips and tools to succeed in life and business, I encourage you to join us on May 17th & 18th in Los Angeles for The Called Conference. It's going to be a phenomenal time, and I don't want you to miss out. At the end of this episode, I’ll be sharing instructions for special pricing exclusively for Called listeners. • Called Family! We are back for Season 3 and I couldn't be more excited to reconnect with you and pour into you like never before! I’ve missed you all tremendously during my off-season, and this season we’re hitting the ground running. We’ve got a new theme for Season 3 — Business Wisdom from the Scripture and it’s going to be life-changing! Today, we're diving into a subject that might sound a bit counterintuitive: Positive Procrastination. Now I know what you’re thinking - how in the world can procrastination be positive? And yes, I know I have an entire episode dedicated to overcoming procrastination. Let me assure you, I’m not advocating for procrastination in the traditional sense. However, there are times when we get excited about an idea, launch it prematurely, and miss out on a window of opportunity that could have taken things to the next level. In today’s episode, we'll be exploring the strategic art of holding back to allow our ideas the time they need to fully mature before making their grand entrance into the world. Family, while I’m excited about Season 3, I’m also excited about Called to Illuminate which will be happening in just a few weeks on May 17th & 18th in Los Angeles. We recently announced our speaker lineup and session titles, and trust me, you’re going to want to be in the room. Also, be sure to stay tuned, because at the end of this episode, I’ll be sharing instructions to get special pricing exclusively for Called listeners. You certainly won’t want to miss it. • I'll be honest - the past few weeks have been challenging, and I'll dive deeper into that in this episode. However, I have come to realize that reaching new dimensions requires us to go through a period of demolition. Because at the end of it all, the breakdown makes us broader and more effective in every area of life. I want you to thrive in your businesses and organizations. But more importantly, I want you to succeed in becoming whole in every aspect of your life.

This week, I decided to flip the script and do things a bit differently. Normally, I discuss topics surrounding growth in leadership or ways to scale your business, but today might be the most vulnerable episode I've released to date. We discuss what it means to be CALLED to our respective spheres of influence, but if you don't get anything else, I want you to be Called to Wholeness.

Family, I'll be taking a few weeks to recharge to come back with fresh content. In the meantime, I encourage you to listen to some of the episodes you may have missed or revisit the ones that impacted you. This week, we'll rewind back to last year's Called Conference where I sat down with my bride, my best friend, and my business partner Sarah Jakes Roberts, as we discussed the dance of doing business with your partner.

We'll talk about our experience balancing our personalities, respecting our business boundaries, and supporting each other to succeed in partnership. Regardless of whether you're in a romantic partnership or otherwise, as you apply these principles you will begin to see a significant impact on the success of your organization or business.

  • There are certain traits that every great person has, but one trait has the ability to change the way you see yourself. The trait I’m referring to is consistency. Consistency helps you build self-trust by proving to yourself (and others) that you are the type of person who finishes what you start. The Bible talks about how a servant who was faithful over few, ended up becoming ruler over much. What many of us fail to realize is that our "big thing" is usually wrapped up in a "small thing", but we will never attain it if we don’t manage it with consistency. Winning the Consistency Battle requires a commitment to finish your goals, no matter what life throws at you. Once you lock in with determination to win the war against inconsistency, you’ll experience breakthroughs in areas where you were once stagnant. I want to help you win this battle and I’ll even share some consistency killers that will try to distract you from finishing strong. This month, I want to challenge you to finish something you’ve been putting off and prove to yourself that you are consistent. Family, don’t forget that The Called Conference is back on May 17th & 18th in Los Angeles, so be sure to register today! Don’t forget to share, rate, and review. • When we deem something as valuable, we tend to treasure it and handle it with care. We are intentional about protecting it at all costs to ensure we are utilizing it to its full potential. But there is one currency we all have access to that is often misused and given away with no regard. That resource is none other than time. Time is the one natural resource that constantly moves. Once it's gone, there’s nothing we can do to get it back. There are some practical tips I want to share with you that will help you to see time differently. Making incremental adjustments to how you spend your time can change the trajectory of your life. Because when we become aware of how we manage and budget our time, we can repurpose it to accelerate success in every area of our lives. As we become more mindful about how we spend one of our most valuable resources, I want you to consider spending time at The Called Conference on May 17th and 18th in Los Angeles. We will gather together to be empowered, inspired, and activated into all God has CALLED us to do. Registration is open now! Family, I love you! • Recently, I had a conversation with a friend who shared that although we're only a few weeks into 2024, he was having difficulty tapping into his goals. It dawned on me that when we start setting new goals without renewing our identity - we can find ourselves slipping back into old habits. Until we hone in on the type of person we need to become to reach new heights, we'll continually find ourselves sabotaging the dreams of our future selves. This week, I will be talking about The Mastery of Identity. You are more than you know. There is power in your mouth and your mind to launch you into all God has CALLED you to be. Every morning, I have disciplined myself to recite a 12-point identity statement that reminds me of who I am and the vision of my life. Today, my challenge to you is to create an identity statement, and I'll give you specific details about what your statement should include. Family, I want to encourage you to send me your statement, and I'll read it on an upcoming episode to stand in agreement with you. Don’t forget to share, rate, and review today. • Called Family! Last week, we discussed the importance of having a vision and pursuing it. This week, I will share some practical tips and tools to help you protect and prepare for the vision God has given you. To protect your vision there are two things you'll need to do. First, you must write it down. Second, you have to protect your mind by maintaining the highest thought. Preparing for your vision is different. It requires you to go deeper by asking yourself thought provoking questions. Because once you know the what and why of your vision, it's imperative you understand the how.
