    Andrew Tang (Andy Tang) - Managing Director, Draper Dragon Fund / Partner, Draper Associates / CEO, Draper University

    Andrew Tang is a partner at Draper DragonFund and Draper Associates, investing in early- stage technology companies and assisting with their business development, particularly international market entry strategy and partnerships. He also serves as CEO of Draper University, which is an incubator and entrepreneurship education program located in Silicon Valley. In his spare time, he teaches finance and fundraising classes to student entrepreneurs.

    Tang has over 20 years of operating, research and development, investment banking and investing experience in the high-tech space. He co founded Draper DragonFund in 2006 to focus on cross-border investing. He has led and managed investments in companies such as VeChain, Ledger, CloudMedx, Yeepay, Jin Jing Electric Motors, Alto Beam, Vicarious Artificial Intelligence, Broadbus (MOT), to name a few. Prior to starting his fund, he was a partner and member of the investment committee at ABB Technologies Ventures and Infineon Ventures. Prior to that, he was an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston’s technology group in Palo Alto, where he worked on the Magma IPO (SNPS) and Cyras (CIEN) acquisition. Before joining Credit Suisse, Tang was a senior engineer and marketing manager at Intel and was responsible for chip design and market enabling for Pentium and Itanium processors.

    Tang grew up in Taiwan and moved to Arlington, Texas, at age 13. He completed his undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT, and received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a U.S. patent in silicon germanium thin film materials.

    Tang currently resides in Portola Valley, California, with his wife Emily and their two sons Maxwell and Thatcher.

    George studied Economics and Business Administration and has a 10-year track record in regulated financial services. Having served most of his career as an executive for Cyprus Investment Firms, George climbed up the corporate ladder while managing Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams for regulated financial services. George has a thorough acumen for business administration and management in start-up environments. He discovered Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in 2013, once the Cyprus banking crisis unfolded and started mining bitcoin at home using ASIC miners until 2015, when he proudly developed an “obsession” about Bitcoin. Since then he has collaborated with crypto-exchanges, wallets, KYC/AML, CRM and various fintech solutions in the space. Since 2017, George became a member and advocate of the crypto community in Cyprus and helped form various local community groups, while contributing proactively in social group discussions. He also led and managed the team of organizers that created the blockchain startup competitions “iCoinSummit” in 2018 and “Nakamoto’s Den” in 2019. As an avid enthusiast of tech relevant communities (both online and offline), he has been involved in hackathon organizations and been a volunteer mentor/advisor for technology startups. George has been leading the adoption movement of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies in Cyprus, being extremely proactive in the organization of local meetups, lectures and presentations. George is a founder and board member of the Cyprus Blockchain Association which is a regional stakeholder in drafting policies alongside with corporates and the government, as well as representing the local community and its projects. Lastly he is also the Vice-President of Decentralized Chapter Nicosia, bringing experts together to share a common knowledge pool, towards an improved societal change.

    Monica Patricia Cummings is a British Industry 4.0 advocate and Tech evangelist. She became interested in bitcoin as early as 2013 when her Uncle who is based on Wall Street became involved in the failed float of a Crypto company. Fast forward to 2017 Monica completed the world-renowned Executive Education program at Spain's prestigious IESE Business school (University of Navarra/partnered with Harvard). She also was chosen to be in the FFWD pre-accelerator Tech program funded by JP Morgan Bank, and took part in the Mayor of London's Business Growth program for Tech SMEs. Monica is currently Head of Content at the ICPS Institute which runs virtual training courses, it also delivers digital roundtables on cutting-edge subjects. Prior to joining ICPS Monica served as a British diplomat overseas in countries such as Oman, Iraq, Kenya and Jamaica. Monica has a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and a Masters Degree in Human Rights. She is also a fluent French speaker.
