It’s the last episode so who better to get down to The Malty than the
Queen?
We’ll, it’s not quite the Queen but a pretty close second!

everything from Brexit to Shortland St! -

Parliament is a strange, hectic place and the public rely on the Press
Gallery to make sense out of what those politicians are trying to do to
them. Two of the best are TVNZ's Jessica Mutch and Newshub's Tova O'Brien,
seasoned veterans of the gallery who have recently been crowned political
editors of their respective media outlets and they join us at The Malthouse
for beers, and a pot of tea. -
In what may be the most ridiculous podcasting coup in NZ history, The
Beerhive has managed to convince the heads of two of our most secretive
organisations to come down and have some beers at the pub with microphones
turned on - YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. -
The Prime Minister’s on maternity leave and the rulebook has gone out the
window. We dragged Justice Minister Andrew Little and Consumer Minister
Kris Faafoi down to the Fork n Brewer for a few Monday pints to see what we
could squeeze out of them. -
We’re joking. Dominic Kelly and Phil Cook aren’t angry at all. Well, not
really.
They definitely know their stuff when it comes to the beer industry though
and they’re not afraid to speak their mind. Respect. -
Patrick Mace, or ‘Dr Pat’ as he likes to call himself, is one of the
founding staff members at American brewery Lagunitas. Part of his job now
is travelling the world and telling people to drink the beer - sweet gig if
you can get it. -
Opening yet another brewery in Wellington would be crazy, right? Well,
there’s at least four people who don’t think so and they’re in the middle
of doing just that in Miramar. We’re joined by Double Vision’s Warren
Drahota and Maria Lanz for a fascinating insight into taking the plunge in
today’s mature beer market. -
Fancy a beer with the leader of the National Party? Well, I’m sure he’ll
have one with you if you can find him to ask, but the next best thing is
listening to us have one with him at The Malthouse. Listen to hear his
thoughts on the beer industry, politics, and what he actually puts in his
hair…. -
Season 2 is here, so we've called in some familiar media faces to sink a
few beers at The Malthouse. Tune in to hear Heather du Plessis-Allan and
Chris Bramwell talk about homebrewing, Winston Peters, Donald Trump and, of
course, Dancing with the Stars. -
Two of the most successful people in the New Zealand beer scene are Jos
Ruffell from Garage Project and Mike Neilson from Panhead. One has remained
staunchly independent as he has turned his brewery into a global brand,
while the other chose to sell the business for a tidy profit when the offer
was too good to refuse. -
New Zealand has 32 new MPs and two of them are Labour's Kiri Allan and the
Greens' Chloe Swarbrick. They join Shane and Michael at The Malthouse to
discuss their aspirations for the next three years. -
Predicting what will happen next in the beer industry seems impossible but
we're going to try, with the help of brewer Kerry Gray from Choice Bros and
award-winning beer writer Neil Miller. -
Every man, woman and their dog wants to start a brewery these days. You're

a brewery. -

candidates vying for votes in the centre of the Craft Beer Capital. -
Our first pod! The Beerhive talk to financial journalist Alex Tarrant and
bar owner Stacey Walsh about why beer is so expensive. Recorded live at The
Malthouse.
