Every week it seems like a progressive politician is declaring that some foreign group, like soldiers in Ukraine or illegal immigrants, is actually more in line with American values than the people who actually make up America. Officially, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the president of an independent nation fighting a territorial war against a world power. In reality, the United States and its NATO allies are funding a proxy war with Russia. While Zelenskyy should hold significant authority, it’s clear that the real peace negotiations are happening between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. If the United States continues to provide financial and military aid, the war could drag on for years. If that support ends, the conflict would likely conclude swiftly.

After the funding fiasco at the U.S. Agency for International Development began to unfold, it was revealed that a number of Christian charities had taken federal funding to help facilitate mass immigration. Is America essentially a dream? An unattainable goal toward which the nation is always progressing? A set of ideas that anyone and everyone from around the world can adopt and join? The propositional nation, one built on an adherence to a series of assertions, is what conservatives have offered my entire life and the default identity they are now attempting to return to with the defeat of the multicultural globalist vision. The problem with this definition is that it cannot hold up to basic scrutiny.

Donald Trump placed a 90-day hold on foreign aid in one of his executive orders, and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has subsequently identified the U.S. Agency for International Development as a prime candidate for elimination. Democrats and their media allies hoped that by drawing attention to USAID, they could frame cuts to the program as an act by callous billionaires who do not care about poor Africans being denied AIDS medication. That plan has backfired, and as the public learns more about USAID, people are quickly discovering how much of their tax money is being stolen to fund deeply evil projects in foreign nations.
