    A juror in the Karen Read murder trial recently reached out to defense attorney David Yannetti to clarify to him that the jury didnā€™t think Read knew she hit her Boston police officer boyfriend and that they found her not guilty of two of three indictments.

    A new filing in Norfolk Superior Court on Monday indicated the jury determined that even if Read hit John Oā€™Keefe with her Lexus SUV, she did not realize that she did.

    In a prior affidavit, Yannetti quoted an unsolicited text message from ā€œJuror Bā€ that read, ā€œNo one thought she hit him on purpose or even thought she hit him on purpose.ā€

    The Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided on Tuesday to hear the case of Ellen Greenberg whose death was ruled a suicide in 2011, but her parents have fought for over a decade to get the manner of death changed to a homicide or undecided.

    Greenbergā€™s family has been in a years-long fight with the City of Philadelphia over Ellenā€™s manner of death since it was ruled a suicide in 2011.

    Ellen Greenberg was a 27-year-old first grade teacher at Juniata Park Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    At approximately 6:40 p.m. on January 26, 2011, Ellen was pronounced dead as a result of twenty stab wounds, including ten to the back of her head and neck.

    In addition, there were eleven bruises in various stages of resolution on her right arm, abdomen, and right leg. Signs of abuse.

    Despite all the evidence to the contrary, the Medical Examiner, Dr. Marlon Osbourne, ruled her death a suicide.

    Ashley Benefield, 32, is accused of shooting and killing her estranged husband, Doug Benefield, in September 2020. She was arrested a little more than a month after the shooting in November and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.

    In a case that has captured national attention, the former ballerina and Lakewood Ranch mother is claiming that she fired her gun in self-defense against Doug Benefield, whom she had married in 2016 following a whirlwind 13-day romance after the two met at a political event. Ashley Benefield alleges her estranged husband was a domestic violence abuser.

    Back in June, a judge laid out a plan for Bryan Kohberger, the man suspected of fatally stabbing four University of Idaho students in 2022, to stand trial starting in June 2025.

    The Latah County Court confirmed to NBC News the trial was scheduled to start on June 2, 2025.

    During a hearing on Thursday, June 27, Latah County District Judge John C. Judge said he expected the trial to take around three months, including sentencing if Kohberger was convicted.
