Through the loss of my wife to cancer, I've discovered that many people – my support system included – don't know quite how to navigate through daily life after loss. Whether grieving themselves or wanting to help those they attempt to support, it's an uncharted path for many. I’ve come to understand the most valuable asset my family and friends possess is the ability to lift me up when I’ve needed it most with the simplest of gestures. There is no perfect formula to help someone grieve, the being there, listening, and providing a slice of normal is often exactly what is needed. The most difficult task for those on the outside is understanding the many facets of loss that are present almost every single day. This podcast was created to help us understand the process of loss with the help of those who are living it.

This is your mind, heart, and body life toolbox for rising above separation trauma and struggles, to empower you to grow into the best version of YOU. Sara Kassa helps women coming out of long term relationships realize this is the best thing that could have happened to them. You can now stop comprising and pouring into that dysfunctional relationship and pour into what matters the most; YOU. I help you call in your genuine self by empowering you to take control of your life, mindset, and health. The goal is to build up your freedom whether financial or mental, and your confidence to call in that dream partner- if you so chose to of course. We do all this while being vulnerable and sipping on our favourite latte or wine!

Hard things change us. They just do. And they should. But what now?
How do we pick up the pieces that are left and write a new story? How do we reconcile what we thought was going to be with what now is? How do we come to a place of acceptance and surrender and let God do a new thing?
Having navigated my fair share of life’s curve balls (cancer survivor, infertility, widow, single mom) I’ve come to understand that hard things change us. But you know what? Even your heart ache is not a surprise to God…and neither is what comes next.

Grief is…..Real. BIG. Better shared.
The podcast everyone needs to hear, but nobody wants to hear.
Grief.
What is grief?
What helps us feel better when we are grieving? These are some of the questions we hear a lot.
Baptist Centers for Good Grief has been providing grief services for 24+ years. We provide free grief individual and group support to children, teens and adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. We provide support in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Southeast Missouri.
So, why a grief podcast?
Mainly because grief is the most universal experience there is. Again, this is the podcast everyone needs to hear….because grief involves pain and vulnerability - which is also why, this is the podcast nobody wants to hear.
We hope to honestly look at grief and discuss the heart and head tug of war from an evidence based grief counseling perspective, but also the very real life perspective too. Our plan is for these episodes to be candid and honest discussions with grievers.
