If you’re a lover of anything spooky and weird, and you’re visiting Ireland, make sure to also check out Ballyboley Forest. This place is located near the town of Larne in Northern Ireland, and it’s one of the biggest mysteries that Ireland has to offer. The forest has a dark reputation, and numerous horrific tales are tied to it.
The four-robed figures, however, have always been at the center of each tale. They had been seen by groups of tourists who were observing them from a forest gap before they simply vanished, walking back into the undergrowth. No one knows what these ghostly shadows are. Visitors have also reported hearing weird noises and feeling a sense of fear and unease while walking there.

Richard Ramirez was known by many names. His family called him Richie. Los Angeles' KNBC called him the Walk-In Killer. To others, he was the Valley Intruder, but the name that stuck, the one that the news media (and Ramirez himself) latched onto, was the Night Stalker. As far as authorities know, he was 24 the first time he took a life. June 2021 marks 37 years since Ramirez's first murder — or, least, the first one that earned him a conviction. Before his 26th birthday, he would kill at least 13 more people and commit at least 11 sexual assaults, in a wave of seemingly random attacks that terrified residents of Southern California in the summer of 1985.

Richard Ramirez was an American serial killer who murdered at least 14 people and was convicted of attempting to murder five others. After developing epilepsy as a child, he became a heavy drug user and cultivated an interest in Satanism, which became a calling card for investigators at his crime scenes. On May 20, 1967, something happened in the wilderness around Falcon Lake, Manitoba, that has never been adequately explained. Stefan Michalak, an amateur geologist who liked to prospect in the wilderness around Falcon Lake, said he had been examining a quartz vein about noon that day when he was startled by geese suddenly agitated by something nearby. He said he looked up to see two saucer-shaped flying objects overhead, one of which descended and appeared to land about 45 metres away. He spent the next half-hour sketching the object then got brave enough to walk towards it.
However, the object took off suddenly with a blast of hot gas, burning Michalak in the process. Later, radioactive debris was found at the site by military and RCMP investigators. Neither the RCMP nor the Canadian Forces were able to explain the event.

Although you've likely never heard of Bladenboro, you might be surprised to learn that it's home to a very intriguing North Carolina vampire-beast legend. In the early 1950s, locals reported a strange creature emerging from the woods and killing multiple livestock and dogs, leaving their mutilated bodies behind.
This happened several different times within the course of a month but the strangest thing was that the creature seemed mostly interested in drinking blood. Thus was born the "Beast Of Bladenboro" legend that still thrives in the area.
The story behind the vampire beast terrorizing Bladenboro is a long and strange one. Between footprints, animal corpses, and eyewitness sightings, it's clear that there is some sort of mysterious beast in the area, and no one is really sure what it is. Mysterious animal deaths still crop up in the area from time to time, leading some to believe the beast may still be on the loose.
