Stress equals meaning equals happiness
The more stress the happier the person.
Stress is highly correlated with a greater sense of meaning in life.
When twins were little I wanted the challenge to take care of them at night, felt like I belonged with them and felt happier being with them even thought it was more challenging.
How is that true in your life?
What strsss do you want to include and why? Why would. You rather do it and be stressed than NOT do it and be not stressed.\
Choosing to be a stay at home mom even thought it is super challenging and stressful. But super meaningful to me and I would rather be here stressed out than in some office cubicle doing something that has zero meaning to me.
This podcast has a lot of meaning to ME even thought it is stressful to put myself out there share my stories, doubt myself, question myself and feel vulnerable, but I would rather do it than not BECAUSE It means a lot to me to know that this will be helpful to at least one other person out there bozo I know how helpful it was to me when I listed to a podcast or read a blog./
Dinners realiziing I would rather scramble and do last minute adjustments and cook 3,4 different options for the kids that order in or do fast food. I would rather be stressed out over picky eaters and being bad at this and how hard this cooking job is than pick up fast food. I choose this stress over the other stress of feeding them less nutritious meals but seemingly less work and less stress in making the meal.

1. It’s understandable . Take time to feel it, cry if you need to.
2. Whats h works case scenario? And is it likely to happen? Have you done everything to prevent it from happening? Yes then comforted.
3. Once we took time to process it and comfort our fears we can take a step back and remember that our feelings come from our thoughts. Our thoughts of worst case scenarios . NOT your action of leaving baby or baby staying with someone else.
So if our thoughts are
I can be making a Mistake.
I am a bad mom.
I shouldn’t be leaving my daughter.
They are just sentences in our head: Words we think that are made up and not the truth . Then we can realize we can pick any thought like
This makes me a good mom.
This is exactly what my daughter needs
I should be leaving my daughter because of this and this.
I am doing the right thing.

Perfectionism. Black and white thinking.
Find the grey area. You always win!Being present in the moment - I simply won’t do it. Give up before begin. Don’t do it. Don’t notice all the grey area that is happening.
Food with the kids - if is not the perfect combo of nutrition it is a fail. Frustrated, controlling, upset, not enjoying myself, fighting.
My weight if it is not a perfect weight I feel like it’s a failure and miss the 99 % successes. Not giving any credit to all the times I take good care of myself by going to bed early, drinking, water, not eating sweets, eating salads, exercising, - missing out on all the goodness and feeling bad about myself for the2% that are missing the mark.
Find the grey area. You always win !
