Over 30 years ago, on Friday, July 3, 1992, Lenore Rattray, then 21, was taken at gunpoint from a Hastings Street business in Vancouver to a hideout near Mosquito Creek in North Vancouver. For over a week she was held captive and sexually assaulted by her captor until he was apprehended by North Vancouver RCMP on July 12, 1992. He was sentenced as a Dangerous Offender for violent sexual crimes against four women in BC and finally convicted for a double murder.
Lenore, for the last three decades, has chosen to remain silent about her traumatic experience despite the media sensation her abduction/disappearance created at the time.
Until now.
