It's a month full of stuffing yoiur face with turkey and discounted products, so it's only natural that this month's podcast also be filled to bursting with all sorts of discussion. Uzuki joins me in talking SMTV, FFXIV, and a whole heaping load of nearly all things Xbox.
-
The big problem with putting off the next recording to wait for new things to talk about is that we become crushed under the weight of content. Uzuki joins me in deseprately trying to sift through the weeks of reveals, trailers and new games that caught our attention. Spoilers: it's a lot. Also Spoilers: this episode is mostly spoiler-free, so stick around to hear our impressions on Inscryption, Tales of Arise, Re:Kinder and a whole bunch more I've already forgotten about.

Saknas det avsnitt?

After getting the ugliness surrounding a certain storm-named studio, Quill and Uzuki join me in a mostly positive, feel good episode where we praise some of the best new releases in both videogames and animation, including The Owl House, He-Man, NEO The World Ends With You, The Great Ace Attorney, and (unsuprisingly) a whole lot of Final Fantasy-related stuff. Get comfy and listen to the good vibes!
-
Uzuki joins me for a (mostly) Final Fantasy-focused episode. At long last we offer our thoughts and theories about the PS5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake and its Yuffie DLC Episode. Between the two of us, who has the crazier, borderline fanfiction predictions for the series going forward? That's right, I said "series", because this is defintely going to go on longer than a trilogy of games.

Snuggles, Uzuki, Blue Map, Quill......and Chaos.
E3 talk, Guilty Gear talk, Demo talk, Ratchet and Clank talk. Chaos talk.
-
I swear, Blue Map always brings out the best and worst from me. It's an otherwise chill episode this week where we recap on a few things already mentioned, like the rumored Final Fantasy Origin, the perils of PC gaming, how Invincible is great despite the meme, how Cruella might somehow be better BECAUSE of the meme, and how Overwatch's porn market has outlived the game's at this point.
-
Uzuki joins me today to mock me about my recent birthday and deteroriating flesh, followed by a lengthy speculation about the very-possibly-real rumor surrounding Final Fantasy Origin and what implications that game may bring for the rest of the franchise going forward. We also mourn the passing of Berserk author Kentaro Miura, the struggle for 10,000 achievements, and some positive discussions about Bioware for a change.
-
It's fluffy and squishy. Is it candy? Is it a meal? I want it.
Quill and I get talking on Monster Hunter Rise, the return (?) of watching movies in a theater, the return (!) of PC gaming, the latest Resident Evil 8 news, and I think some anime gets tossed in as well.
Listen!

A whole year stuck at home...sure has been insane, huh? I mean, not for me, it's been bliss, but I'm sure it's inconvenienced some folks out there.
Good thing the videogame well hasn't dried up, though it is starting to drop a few inches. That's why we need to stick to our fan favorites, as Quill demonstrates with the latest Nintendo Direct and Pokemon news, and I do with Final Fantasy VII, aka the reason for the existence of the latest State of Play. Uzuki is a lot more well-rounded and drops a few games of his own.

It's the second part of our Game of the Year deliberations, where we take one final look (at least I really hope so) at 2020 and see which games get the coveted crown of Game of the Year.
-
One of the benefits of 2020 being a monster hellscape year that felt twice as long as it actually was is that it never feels too late to reminisce about its videogame releases. Myself, Blue Map, Beeb, Shadowfire and Uzuki look back at the post apocalyptic remains and come to agree: hey, there were some darn good videogames that came out. Better therapy during these dark times than actual therapy (note: please actually do get therapy if you need it).
Our first half of the 2020 discussions start off with Best Visuals, Best Soundtrack, Best Characters and Best Moments. Spoilers will be given an advance warning as needed.

This episode's almost as big as the PS5 itself; a long gap between recordings (as well as Blue Map's long overdue return) means a whole lot of fat to chew. We talk PS5, we talk Xbox Series X, we talk Sephiroth, Franchise revivals under new legally-distinct monikers, Cyberpunk 2077.....yeah, that happened...and so much more!
-
So many Achivements.....so much grinding.
Even when playing current games, my brain has been working overtime in preparing for the next generation. Beeb and Uzuki are less obsessed, but no less entertaining in this jam-packed Halloween episode, featuring spoooooooky voices!*
*okay, in truth our recording got a bit messed up due to connection issues, so you may experience instances of weirdly-pitched commentary. I edited it best I could so it should still be perfectly listenable. Sorry about that, contrary to our motto we aren't professionals.
-
Been a while since Shadowfire and Uzuki joined in, so we've got a real SUGOI DEKAI episode today. The three of us talk about the PS5 event, the launch games, Final Fantasy XVI, Avengers, and my newest shame: Vtubers.
If you manage to listen through all that, there's another segment where Beeb and I talk some more PS5 stuff in addition to the latest Monster Hunter Direct (I guess there were some other games in there too).
Intro: Eekum Bokum But It's A Song (Kyle Allen Music)
Outro: Final Fantasy XVI Trailer Music Re-Created (Alex Moukala EXTRA)
Ending: Bury The Light (Casey Edwards Ft. Victor Borba)

You'd think there would be more free time during this stay-at-home lifestyle, but it took a bit of time before one of my regulars became available. Beeb and I try to catch up to current events with a healthy dose of discussions involving comic properties, comic silliness, corporate toxicity, next-gen speculation (well, more like frustration), politics....anime....final fantasy....yeah, all that good stuff.
-
It's not the most pleasant of conversations today, but Blue Map is still eager to talk through some of the latest bad news surrounding the FGC. We also try to lighten the mood with discussions about open world games, OLED TVs, and telling anti-mask people to go to hell.
-
Beeb joins me for a whole lot of Nintendo Switch-related talk, thanks to a collection of coincidences that helped add some hidden gems (at insanely discounted prices) to an already extensive list of games. A few of the other common topics pop up as well: Anime, Final Fantasy, the growing existential terror that permeats throughout 2020....all good stuff.
-
Blue Map is finally back after a long overdue absence, so the two of us get to talking about the state of fighting games in the hopes it can distract us from the state of everything else. We also briefly speculate on the PS5 event (before we knew about its postponement, see the aforementioned state of everything else), talk about why Robocop is cooler than Terminator and Cobra is cooler than G.I. Joe.

We're holding nothing back this time, from full spoilers of the Remake, the original game, the Compilation stuff, to unrestrained fanboyish excitement. The four of us unanimously loved Final Fantasy VII Remake and can barely contain ourselves from deep diving into every possible element. The characters, the story, the big unanswered questions and what it means for the future, it's all here. Today's guests include LockedOnTarget and Uzuki, as well as the years-long return of VagrantWinds. The last time he was on, we were still speculating on FFXV!
-
You don't know how good it feels just typing out that title...the game that many have anticipated almost as long as this podcast has been up has finally arrived.
LockedOnTarget has returned right on time to join me in discussing the first three chapters of the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Spoilers JUST for those three chapters (and a couple for chapter 4 that slip out, sorry). The original game gets spoiled a bit as well, so keep that in mind before you listen.
