  • Reality Creation.

Mar is the principle and founder of Guildworks, Architecture of the Air. An award-winning design-build firm specializing in innovative, permanent tension fabric structures.

Mar can design a beautiful Lotus Temple for the community.

We're planting this flower in Humboldt County.

    You'll love it.

    -

The tensile fabrics Mar designs with the same insulation as the most durable glass. Can last somewhere between 50-100 years.

Water catchment with solar embedded into the fabrics.

The future of the office looks natural. People are more effective in their daily work life if they are in touch with nature. This could potentially uplevel GDP for the entire country.

    Science.

Most buildings use technology that is 100 years old. Incredibly inefficient, while also a massive contributor to greenhouse emissions.

    Nature doesn't like square boxes.

    -

Thank you Mar for helping us all harmonize with the natural world.

    That's the game we're playing.

  • Daria is the manager for the Center for Home Gardening at the Missouri Botanical Garden, one of the top ten Botanical Gardens in the country.

    It's beautiful.

We get to walk through many of the features, displays, and systems of the garden and get the inside scoop.

    -

Botanical Gardens play a huge role in research, discovery, and conversation for the plant species of our shared Earth. As well as a major educational resource for learning about the natural world. LCMS: Living Collections Management System - a database that tracks the life of every plant in the garden. A GIS system that maps the growing conditions, plant date, and all notes about each plant. This information can then be cross-pollinated with other Botanical Gardens all over the world. That's a great reason to work here. You step outside and it's like therapy. It's calming, you get to see beautiful sights every day...it's very relaxing."All the botanical gardens are starting to ask the question: "Not what can I plant now, but what can I plant later on?"

    Something to think about.

    -

Dariah, thank you for taking us for a walk through the garden!

He was also the Director of Biomimicry Academy for a number of years, an educational platform with the goal of turning innovative minds into natural change makers.

    -

Creating business models that create more economic benefit for all parties involved. Mutually beneficial systems that benefit the business, all the people in it, and the surrounding environment. In nature there is no waste, by definition. So part of harmonizing with nature is creating systems that do the same.Culture is a reflection of collective intelligence, our mind patterns. Change people's minds, change the world. It's now possible to use decentralized technology (sensors) to sense what nature needs, and to give nature a vote in a democratic process when making impactful decisions.

    -

Thank you Fabian for your depth of understanding of how to make real change.

  • Frontier

    Uncharted territory.

Jamie is the founder and director of Biomimicry Frontiers, an award-winning design who's mission is to 'Make It Better.'

    Naturally.

He trained with Janine Benyus who coined the term Biomimicry back-when.

He's also working at B+H Architecture firm as Director of Biomimicry to help them to think and create within a Biomimetic Paradigm.

    .

Using Biomimicry to design your built environment can make them more attractive to clients/investors AND there's major cost savings in infrastructure in the long-term and engineering costs.Through measuring the ecological performance of a site, before and after, you can tell that some buildings (designed by yours truly) actually improve the site more than if they weren't to build on it.Metrics: Sequestering more carbon, producing more oxygen, reducing noise, reducing air pollution, water retention, temperature reduction and a few more. It's a Win-Win Paradigm.

    .

Thank you Jamie for harmonizing us with the natural world @biomimicryfrontiers

  • Biomimicry

    To Mimic Life.

Lily holds a Master's in Biomimicry from Arizona State University, one of the leading and few colleges in the country teaching Biomimicry at that level.

Currently she's teaching at Pratt Institute a course called Biology for Biomimicry. A course for design students, helping them to translate nature into applicable designs.

She also has a podcast called Learning from Nature where she uncovers how biomimicry is being successfully applied across disciplines and industries.

    Definitely check it out.

    ~

Nature, and studying nature allows us to access solutions we haven't thought of yet. An intelligence with 3.8 billion years of research and development. That's the tagline. At the core of Biomimicry is creating things that are life affirming. For those interested in Biomimicry Asknature.org is an amazing resource where you can ask specific questions surrounding natural processes, systems and their applications.

  • Permaculture

It really means 'permanent culture.' The permanent cultivation of our human territory.

Because, ultimately, we achieve permanent health as humans and landscapes through designing our ecosystems to meet our needs and wants.

    Learn something new everyday.

Hannah's the Co-founder of the Abundant Earth Foundation (one of our fiscal sponsors) and she helped start up the North American version of Permaculture magazine.

She was in Gautamala when we had this conversation.

    .

Creating economic opportunities for these communities through funding these projects.Brief overview of permaculture (garden and organization) design from beginning to end.Fundraising strategies and philosophies for land-based and regenerative projects.

    .

She's starting a new campaign called 'Shake it or Take it!'

  • They Say A Quality of The Best Leaders

Is the ability to take the complexity of something and communicate it in a way that is simple, organized, and actionable.

    Simple does it.

Anton is the founder of House of Transformation and Rebuild - a networking, event, education, and community building platform that focuses on eco-villages and all of the variables that go into creating them successfully.

    Key Points:

Symbiotic relationship building that feed into and activate your eco-village and land-based project.Ground up, lean and agile, strategies for bringing your eco-village or land-based project to life.Bringing art & culture into the landscape to make it more desirable and unique for visitors. Seeing hierarchy within an organization as both a circle and a triangle that fit inside of a square.

  • Kelly's the founder of New Earth Now, a regenerative development company that supports the creation of eco-villages, regenerative smart cities, and retreat centers.

She's definitely tapped into a frequency that is, in and of itself, part of the solution.

    -

    What I Loved:

    - A world without money, and a resource-based economy is possible, in the far off future.

    - Scalar Frequency Machines and Light Healing Beds that can heal and prevent things like cancer.

    - Aircrete: a sustainable building material that uses only %10 of the concrete of traditional buildings, and soap.

Algae, another carbon-sequestering building material capable of lining the outsides of buildings.

    - Abundancia: A regenerative community model liberating human potential by creating living conditions that free people to pursue their passions and create their dreams.

    -

One of Kelly's deepest dreams is to see places of disease, hunger, and poverty regenerate and flourish with their own culture, societies, and lifestyle, restored.

I already know she's going to help make it happen.

    Thank you Kelly - https://www.newearthdevelopment.org/

    New Moon Blessings, Always.

  • Ken's a futurist, with a systems lens.

Someone's who's trained to think, plan, and implement for the future.

As such he's deeply connected to the people in Humboldt who do just that. In terms of development, energy, agriculture, tourism, and the economy as a whole.

He's invited myself as well as a number of others from here and the surrounding counties to participate in some of these conversations.

I find it fascinating, and so resonant.

He also really values the voice of the younger generation, as he understands that we'll be living through some of the most drastic change ever.

Him and his are great hosts, and they love the Soul Garden project.

    -

    What I really enjoyed learning:

Two years of planning and work and we can set ourselves up for the next twenty in terms of food sovereignty, energy, and housing, Humboldt's going to grow, a lot, in the coming years.Hempcrete: A regenerative building material that's carbon negative, highly fire resistant, naturally insulating, and grown from the Earth. Ken has plans for a seed to construction full circle, local production.Seeing the future of Humboldt as an ecological tourist destination that other communities can come and learn from our models and systems. Nature being one of our strongest assets. Polytechnic means learning through doing. Setting up the educational model to embrace and prepare for our collective future, which means climate change.

    -

Ken's definition of regeneration is generational thinking.

    Appreciate y'a Ken.

Definitely a gift to the community.

  • 12

    It's a magic number.

Associated with the heaven's, the months and the zodiac, the lunations in a year (blue moons aside), the petals of a lotus building, and Oliva.

    -

So the Alchemy Center is a collection of professional creatives working together to bring inspiring projects to life through a collaborative design process that harnesses everyone's genius.

It's like modern day alchemy, which is ancient.

The transformational process of taking something of little value, and turning it into something incredibly valuable.

    Gold.

Which, according to historian Nevill Drury, 'to the alchemist it symbolized the highest development in nature and came to personify human renewal and regeneration.'

    Stay golden.

    -

I think the one, really simple point everyone could take away from this conversation is:

Extractive culture is taking more than you give back, from people or the earth.

Sustainability is maintaining a system at equilibrium.

Regeneration is giving back more than you take.

Given that our words are spells and create our reality, and planet earth is...right there...there's really just one we should be focusing on.

    -

    Besides that we jammed.

As she oft reminds me - appreciate what's right in front of you.

    Appreciate you Olivia.

    Sending Love,

    Broderick

  • They Say The Heart

Is the 'Seat of the Soul'.

The interface between who we really are and our physical body.

It is the inspiration for this page, and Soul Garden.

Rollin's researched this for over thirty years, with people like Dr. Joe Dispenza. They're friends, they research together.

We'll be collaborating in the future.

Having both of those organizations in the Lotus Temple has been the plan since day one.

The future lives in our hearts.

    That's what I believe.

    -

    Key Points

You can strengthen the bridge between your physical and energetic heart - just love more. It'll give you more access to your intuitive guidance.Three types of Intuition: 1. Implicit - Things we learned, unconscious memories, pattern recognition. 2. Energetic Sensitivity - Our nervous systems ability to detect signals from the environment. 3. 'Big Game' - Aligning with our higher or 'larger' self by following our intuitive guidance or energetic heart. Our soul. That's the game. The resonant frequency of the Earth is 0.1Hz, which is exactly the same frequency as the human heart when we're in a coherent state. We share a heart with the Earth. And when we're in sync with the Earth, in that state, it acts as an energy source and we have more energy to do things like...Healing.With less than 10% of the world's military budget every man, woman, and child on planet earth could be housed, have clean water, fed, and educated. Less than 10%.There's a strong correlation between the solar cycle spikes (10.5 - 11 years) and profoundly impactful, human events happening across the globe. We're in the midst of an upswing that will peak around 2025. A time of higher creative potential on the planet.

    -

"Love is intelligence. It is the organizing intelligence of the universe, the creative force, and the baseline frequency of planet earth."

  • I Googled 'Embodied Potential'

    And found Maud.

She coaches executives and leaders in France and the EU, with a focus on whole person transformation and organizational shifts with embodiment.

    She's great.

    -

    Key points:

Embodied state exercise for effective, compassionate confrontation and accountability.Aikido: The Way of Harmony. While a martial art, also a philosophical and spiritual approach to life and business centered around harmonious, benevolent outcomes. We're most powerful when we're kind.Holocracy: A decentralized organization structure that allows for more autonomy, efficiency, and creativity. Almost mimicking nature.

    -

Maud's personal definition of love: "My ability to be with what is, as it is."

  • Justin is the co-founder of the Flow Consciousness Institute, researcher and teacher, and all around awesome human.

    Highly Recommend.

    -

    Key Points:

Intuition processes 65 billion bits of data per second. On the other hand our rational mind processes between 200,000 to 1 million bits of data per second. The height that you can go is proportional to the depth to which you've excavated your own psyche. The deeper you go, the higher you rise. The human is the most advanced 'technology' that's ever been created. Also organic.Potential - the idea that we have some vast, untapped capacity that exists within all of us. Human potential is the drive to actualize that.

    -

    Justin's definition of love:

"A combination of unconditional acceptance and an embracing and affirming. The radical okay-ness and beauty of all things."

Justin's work can be found at both of these links:

    https://www.justinfaerman.com/

    https://www.flowconsciousnessinstitute.com/

  • Key Points:

Cultivating precision of effort: maximal efficiency, minimal effort. Timing.Allowing present moment awareness to guide us to what wants to come through us on that day. Almost sounds like the surrender experiment.Entelechy: An innate wisdom or knowing. Also: The realization of potential. Also: The soul. The more you explore 'inner space' the closer you get to Earth.

    -

    Bristol's definition of love:

"Love is everything. It means...it doesn't actually mean anything, it just IS...You'd have to just see the smile on my face."

    -

  • Key Points:

Telos: Your highest value, north star, and guiding light - which all other values feed into and support. Our values, shaped in childhood through 'voids and violations', pave the way for our purpose in this life. Living out of alignment with your values will cause physical, psychological, relational, and emotional 'feedback'. All signals letting you know you're out of alignment. Conversely, living in alignment - being who you really are, is the source of emotional/psychological fulfillment, relational harmony, and physical health/energy.

  • I Love Talking To Doctors

They understand certain things really well. It's their job.

    And Carrie's a great example.

Trained in Somatic Experiencing, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, and NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model). And a wealth of other modalities.

    .

    Key Points:

How trauma disconnects us from our 'inherent lifeness' - our potential to access certain states of being. We cover the link between trauma, lack, abundance, and the true self. The soul.We talk about the potential for MDMA, Ketamine, Psilocybin, and other up and coming treatment options for things like trauma, depression, addiction, and 'stuckness'. At Soul Garden. At the end we do a visioning walkthrough of what the body center could look like. Feel like. Smell like. Be like. The whole deal.

    .

Thank you @drcarriegriffin it was a joy learning from you, connecting over shared values, and expanding on the center.

    .

I encourage those who are local to Humboldt to check out her project @thepsychedelicvoice as it grows into a magical force for healing & transformation in the community.

    .

Imagining the amazingness of 2022, and a peaceful, highly creative, winter.

Many Blessings, and a Happy New Year!

  • As The Man Who Brought Joseph Campbell Into My Life

We kicked off the conversation with this quote:

"We need myths that will identify the individual not with his local group, but with his planet."

    Timely.

    -

    Key Points:

Language and words are so powerful that they reprogram our epigenetics and nervous systems. With that in mind, think about weaving them together into meaningful stories.Abundance, Regenesis, Creativity, Benevolence, Renaissance, Desire, Symbiosis, Passion, Coherence, and Prosperity. Ten words to repeat like mantras, according to Kevin.I'll add one. Love. That makes 11.The Hero's Journey arc, found across all cultures in all times has semblance with the seasons, or migratory patterns. It's like psychological fractal of nature.

    .

Kevin's personal heart-centered vision is a melding of technology and nature, less time working, more time creating beauty.

I think everyone's on board with that.

    .

Kevin's favorite love songs are some deep bass by Ambyion.

    They're fire.

    Confirmed.

    .

Kevin, you're a metaphysical philosopher of excellence.

Thanks for opening up that vision portal for us, Summer of 2020.

    Seems to be working.

    Grateful for you.

    .

Lastly, a beautiful reminder that not getting what you thought you wanted means something even better is on it's way, and what's for you will never miss you.

    New moon stories.

  • The Medicinal Cannabis Queen

    I like that.

Also, I don't smoke (or drink), but I absolutely understand the medicinal and healing benefits for many.

    -

    Key Points:

You can never learn too muchCannabis juicing can be used to treat many things. It's like a superfood. I'll try it sometime.Quantum alignment, that peak state we're all searching for, is absolutely possible. And she can help you get there. Not all bud tenders are created equal. And Humboldt has the best.

    -

Her favorite love song is a mantra.

    About universal love.

    Good choice.

    -

    Thank you @dr.pepperhernandez

You're a gift to the community.

    -

Now the question I'm asking is...

How can we heal the entire community?

    I have an idea.

    It's gonna be ride y'all!

    Sending Love,

    Broderick
