  • Have you ever wondered how some people manage to turn their interests and passions into profitable businesses? That’s what this podcast is all about.

I’m your host, Howard, and I’m excited to launch the solopreneur coffee break, the podcast where I chat with successful solopreneurs and learn from their strategies, insights and tips.

I have a diverse background in different industries. I’ve worked as a computer coder, a property developer, and now I’m a finance contractor building my side-hustle as a solopreneur. Earlier in my career as a studio sound engineer I was fortunate to work with many successful musicians such as Mick Jagger, Cyndi Lauper, BB King, PJ Harvey, Michael Stipe, and a host of great bands. What I noticed successful people had in common was how they focused on relationships. They were usually relaxed, nice people who were interested in achieving their goals by getting the best from the people around them and that meant understanding their personalities.

Similarly, creating a successful personal brand and offering value involves understanding your audience and your ’niche of one’ as Dan Koe calls it. This is the intersection of your skills, passions, and market demand. This podcast is going to learn from guests how they are leveraging social media to market their digital products and consulting services. And the first two episodes are with solopreneurs I met in Dan Koe’s Modern Mastery community with whom I found common ground on this journey of solopreneurship.

Previously, I established two full-time businesses over a 7 year period which operated mainly offline, but I found it difficult to align creating client value with my skills and interests in the offline world.

However, now I'm building my personal brand as an online solopreneur, which I see as a great way to build on experience and create digital products that are exciting, valuable, and scalable.

In addition, I'm always curious about how other solopreneurs navigate the challenges and opportunitiesof working for themselves, and what systems or strategies they use to achieve their goals. So, I created this podcast to share with you the lessons and insights from other solopreneurs. Each episode, I invite a guest who has an interesting story to tell, and we’ll have an informal chat over a virtual cup of coffee. We’ll talk about their journey, successes and failures, their strategies and techniques, and how they learn from some of the most successful solopreneurs that we admire and follow.

Whether you are already a solopreneur or just starting out, you’ll find something valuable and interesting in every guest’s journey. So grab your coffee and join me for the solopreneur coffee break.

Check out our first two episodes coming on Wednesday August 16th!

And please make sure you subscribe, rate, review, and share your podcast experience! Thank you and see you soon.
