Attendance and intentional practice are key. Don't let these simple words fool you, because although they sound simple, they are not easy. In fact, it's incredibly easy to do the opposite; be absent and train without focus and purpose.
I've been boxing six times per week for the past 45 days and sometime in the next 6-12 months, I will have my first amateur fight. I'm nervous but also extremely excited about this new athletic journey.

Without facing the truth of the situation, this decision wouldn't have been made. Today's episode is all about finding and embracing the truth, as inconvenient as it might be.

Since the age of 13, I've been making decisions that many people disagree with. I've made decisions that, from the outside looking in, seem insane. These include turning down massive opportunities, moving away from my family to chase my dreams, and dropping out of university.
I can confidently tell you that these were the best decisions of my life, but when making these decisions, I struggled. There were nights when I wouldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about making the wrong choice.
Tune in to today's episode to hear more about my decision-making process and why I think making big decisions is not a thinking exercise.

Justin Abernethy is a Toronto-based director whose body of work balances the meridian between stills and motion. From the first moment he looked through a lens, Justin fell in love with the ability to create a narrative told through imagery within a single frame. After training in photography, he quickly found himself inspired by the world of motion, where he saw life existing in more than just moments.
With a naturalistic approach to dark surrealism and incredible attention to detail, Justin’s work pushes boundaries while being analytical and strategic. He finds inspiration in things he loves: music, art, and fashion. Whether it be a reference to the classic cinema or high-fashion elements, Justin leaves a piece of his personal mosaic behind in every project.
He has worked with artists like Ali Gatie, Anders, 12AM, Takis, Goody Grace, Tory Lanez, J-Soul, Baka Not Nice, Big Lean, Delorean Black, LB Spiffy, Smoke Dawg, Ty Senoj and more.
He has worked with companies like Roots Canada, Samsung, Warner Records, Sony Music Entertainment, October’s Very Own, Cash Money, Sticks and Stones Agency, Solstice Magazine, Rebel Magazine, Flanelle Magazine and more.

I believe that you and I walk around and experience life with an invisible backpack strapped to our shoulders. In this bag, we carry our experiences along with the thoughts and opinions that other people give to us. Some good and some bad. The negative opinions and hurtful words become bricks that weigh us down and overtime can stop us from moving at all.
Over time your backpack fills up, and if you don’t stop to remove the things that were never yours, to begin with, you may end up living a life that’s not yours and falling short of your true potential.
Today's episode is all about emptying your backpack and re-packing it with the things that will help you.
