Irish Skincare brand Doctrine launched onto the market earlier this year, founded by the incredibly talented Tracey Ryan, Mark O’Sullivan and Caoimhe O’Donoghe, whose shared passion fuels their drive to create exceptional products that everyone can love, enjoy and most importantly experience tangible results.
Today I’m joined by Tracey, Doctrines' in-house cosmetic chemist and the genius behind each formula Tracey Ryan, who’s journey into skincare kicked off with a love for plant-based solutions, leading her to launch her first skincare venture Bia Beauty following her Herbal Science degree. Teenagers need skincare routines just as much as any adult especially when it comes to pesky skincare problems. I chat with Dr. Isabel Haugh, Consultant Dermatologist specialising in cosmetic, medical, and pediatric dermatology at the Institute of Dermatologists. We focus on teen skin, particularly problematic issues like spots, breakouts, and acne treatment as well as the growing trend of anti-ageing skincare among teenagers and even tweens. Dr. Isabel provides us with a general skincare routine for teens and answers listener questions about eczema, psoriasis, warts, and even Botox for teeth grinding. When Sonal was diagnosed at 17 with a rare skin condition which makes her allergic to daylight, she had no idea that one day it would inspire a successful business.
Today the former barrister, and mother-of-two, harnesses the healing and renewal properties of Silk with her range of skin and hair products. Her sustainably produced, 100 per cent mulberry silk, machine-washable pillowcases and accessories have a devoted following and her skincare range containing silk peptides, have won numerous awards and been proved a balm for women with sensitive skin conditions such as rosacea.
