Being in a committed relationship is not always sunshine and rainbows, so what do you do when you love each other, but you don't really like each other? For some people it's as simple as laying low and letting it pass, but for others it involves 3 imaginary characters and a lot of inappropriate jokes! Care to guess which approach each of us takes? After too many years, we finally went back to India! From battling jet lag to savoring the flavors of almost all our favorite Indian dishes (minus a few street carts!), we are sharing our highs and lows of our trip.
India, it had been too long and we promise to be back soon! -
We barely made it through 3 questions (and it took us time to get there), but hopefully now you’ve gotten to know us a little better! If you know of any way that I might sing on a track with Ed Sheeran, or that Nate Bargatze would come on our podcast, please send us a DM! 😂

TRID is shocked by what the internet believes Sheena’s net worth to be, accuses Sheena of hiding her money in Switzerland, and we discuss our relationship with money.

Our 13-year-old says he's ready for a cell phone, but we're not so sure. On this episode, we're discussing our experiences so far, my newfound love of botany, and oh - why TRID won't agree with any of the things I say!

I was recently invited back to TD Garden to sing the National Anthem for the Boston Celtics! It's an experience that never fails to leave me in awe. But beyond the bright lights and cheers, this got us thinking about the many ways people handle stress, and realizing that our approaches could not be more different.

YES WE FIGHT! And our most recent blow-up prompted this episode! Although it may seem like we are always laughing and having a good time (which is true a lot of the time), we also, like every other couple, frustrate each other and fight! Which brings you to the most important skill: making up!

There are many moments in our lives, whether we realize it or not, that our patience is tested. We started discussing this a few weeks ago, and thought it would make a good topic to cover. So here it is, from a friend’s sofa in beautiful Vermont!
Also, if TRID ever did "guchi guchi guchi" on your stomach, I apologize.

I PROMISE I came back hoping to give you a "Part 2" to the "Our Love Story" episode, yet as is often the case with us, it veered in a different direction. So here's more of a conversation about relationships with some stories and some lessons we've learned along the way. I guess this episode is much like the essence of our relationship...there's planned, there's unplanned, and somehow, always, chaos ensues!

Thank you for bearing with us as we figured out this new medium enough to tell you the most important story we have to share: ours. It is definitely one we enjoyed reliving, and after recording we realized how much more there is to tell!
Much love,
Sheena & TRID

This episode is a perfect example of managing expectations (or rather what to do when your expectations are not met)! I fully expected to be telling the story of how we met, and he threw a wrench in my plans (who’s surprised by that)?! TRID did tell me after we finished recording that he was coming down with something, and wanted to feel better when we told our story (which we have since recorded and will be released on Feb. 13)! I wish he was lying, but he was not - I came down with something the next day and was in bed for two days!

Now that we have our ground rules (Ep. 0), a name for the podcast (Ep. 0.02) and two practice runs in (during which we have hopefully worked out the major kinks), we thought the best place to start might be, well, the beginning. Welcome to Episode 1: The Origin Story. While I never set out to be a content creator, influencer, podcaster or online personality of any kind, it certainly has been a wonderful journey so far. And while it has brought with it both times of heartache and moments of pure joy, above all I am grateful for the sense of purpose it has given me - which was missing in some aspect of my life. Thank you for allowing us a space to share my story and for your continued support in this journey.
