Alex and Facci answer the final questions from the March Mailbag. We thank everyone for their amazing questions!
16). Basketball John
Facci, do you think SlowMo and Jarace are similar in some ways? Although Jarace is much more athletic, he seems to have a very deliberate style.
17). Roundball Roundup
How many more seasons will this organization ruin by having Turner at the C? Already at 9 & counting.
The definition on crazy is doing same thing over again & expecting a different result. even trial & error would’ve succeeded by now
Hot Tk:
TJ + Sabonis >> Haliburton + Turner
18). Matt John
I am from the UK travelling to watch the Pacers in April - what are my ‘need to knows’ about the field house?
19). Psycho T is back again
HOW has Tj (a 6’1 white dude) gone his WHOLE 10+ nba career and not developed an actual 3 point jump shot?
20). Chad @ChadTweetsNBA
What’s your guys’ favorite moment from this season?
21) Greg Brames
On slow starts to the 1st Quarter...Why do you think we have so many of these slow starts? Is this a sign of immaturity, focus, clubbing the night before, or what? Lately our shooting in the first quarter is abysmal too. What can they do to turn it around?
-
Alex Golden and Mike Facci recap the Pacers Overtime Thriller! Obi Toppin led the Pacers in scoring with 34 points and lifted them to one of the BEST wins of the season with a game winning three over the Timberwolves. This snapped the Wolves 8 game winning streak and the Pacers did this with 4 starters sidelined, 1 ejected in the 3rd quarter and their 6th man fouled out in the 4th. Just a remarkable game from so many players and the guys dive into all of it!
-

The guys look at how well Nesmith and Mathurin have played during the past month since the switch, how the bench has looked based on multiple findings with lineup data, what has been the biggest problems for the Pacers second unit groups, Tyrese with Aaron vs Tyrese with Benn, shooting woes for Nembhard and more.
The guys also reflect on the NCAA Tournament selections, where Facci's West Virginia Mountaineers and Alex's Indiana Hoosiers were left out of the Final 4 to make the 68 team bracket.
-
On today's show, Alex recaps the Pacers loss to the Bucks, the starters jelling together and the bench unit falling apart. The big runs that ultimately led to Indiana's downfall, Nesmith's career night, Haliburton and Siakam's play and what is going on with TJ McConnell.
-
On today's show, Alex Golden goes solo to recap the Pacers victory over the "76ers". With 96% of the 76ers salary sidelined do to injury, the Pacers found themselves fully healthy struggling against a team that was incredibly undermanned. Alex talks about how the Pacers need to mature as a group and overcome these trap games by taking care of business. Then, Alex dives into how Indiana was able to bounce back after a sluggish start, how impressive the starters were in the 2nd half, the woeful play of the bench, an extremely tough night for Mathurin, Siakam's strong performance and more.
-
Alex and Facci continue on with answering your mailbag questions!
11). Schwarz Bruder @TheEvilOmega
What do you think is the cause for the inconsistent and often woeful performance of the bench unit this year? Did teams just figure us out, was Stix that important, or is it the rotations and scheming? It's baffling to see the best bench in the league turn into one of the worst.
12). Rooster is back…
Since everyone seems to think I’m insane, if this summer you had a choice between signing Myles to a 4 year 140 million deal or 5 year 120 with a NTC which would you prefer?
13). Phillip Stroh
Question(s): Fully healthy, who falls out of the playoff rotation? What is the minute distribution for the center position in the playoffs?
Looking for like 40 minutes of Myles and 8 minutes of small ball based on how they’ve looked to me.
14). Christopher Waltermire
I want Jarace to play but his Defense is leaky at times. I truly believe he will be a solid player 1 day, because his offense is alot better than I expected. What do you think this team is going to do with all these players and not enough time to play em?
15). Jake Wingo
If the Pacers somehow don’t retain Myles this off season, who would you want as a replacement?
-
MAIL TIME! Alex Golden and Mike Facci answer Part 2 of the MAILBAG questions!
6). Indiana Media @ColtsMediaGuy
Question: Where do you rank this team at in the standings without Tyrese Haliburton?
Hot Take: Indiana Pacers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers to advance to the NBA Finals. For this to happen Pacers would need to beat either Pistons or Bucks first round, Celtics the second round which is possible, Knicks ain’t beating the Cavs!
7). The Roost Man aka Rooster aka Kevin Prtichard’s Biggest Fan
Everyone talks about a consolidation trade. And while I prefer to see how the young guys develop, give me a list of 5-10 players who you think would be worth giving up 2 or 3 of our young guys plus a first or two.
8). Pacers Faithful — HOT TAKE REACTION
Hot takes: Jarace is better suited as a 3 due to his skillset, size, and lack of physicality. Nembhard isn’t a true pg and is in the perfect spot as a combo guard next to Ty rather than being a true point guard.
9). Psycho T
Increase Jarace’s minutes at the expense of Obi? The knock on Jarace is “dependability” but do we really trust Obi that much more? I love Obi but he can’t create his own shot & is a major defensive liability without the upside of Walker
10). Matthew Peck
The Pacers are consistently a poor defensive team. They have periods of time they do defend @ a high level but often fall back to poor defense. In your opinions is this a player/talent issue or is it the scheme that coaching uses?

On today's episode, Alex Golden and Mike Facci read the first set of questions for our March Mailbag!
1). John Coulton
Do you think the reluctance of the Pacers franchise to truly "bottom out" has hurt their long term future and ultimately ruined their ability and chances to ever build a championship contender? Just imagine what the Pacers future would look like now if they had of racked up a few less meaningless wins over the past 2 seasons, got a higher draft pick as a result and ended up drafting (for example Paolo Banchero and Amen Thompson. Imagine what the pacers roster would like with those 2 currently on the team?
2). Young Simba
Out of potential playoff matchups, Knicks/Bucks/Pistons, who do you want to play the most and who do you want to play the least?
3). Alex Riley — Graphic Designer GOAT
You guys concerned about the bench? Or think it's more a bi-product of different injuries/rotations?
4). Garrett the Buffalo Bills Fan LegendWhat do you think the ideal contract for Myles to retire as a Pacer will be?
5). Chris WeechWhat do you expect the playoff rotation to look like? Starters and bench predictions would be appreciated.
Side note- I love Thomas Bryant, but I think his liabilities will show big time in the playoffs, how do we insulate Myles from foul trouble?
