A brief update on the latest new names for this month’s first edition. On the modular front, Anders Jakobsen aims to create a balance between noisy and harmonious sounds. We are in a live session with Danielle Nia. Thierry Holwerk is using a Serge Modular Synth, paired with field samples recorded from his source of inspiration. Mansur’s sound journey navigates the realms of musical fantasy and reality, merging traditional instrumentation with contemporary electronica. Nettaiya is a groundbreaking New Age music project that fuses Eastern and Western influences into an ethereal sonic experience. Influences from Kraut Rock emerge on the track ‘Trippin With The Birds’, with Stereo Lab and Nurse With Wound contributing to this fusion. After switching labels to Groove, Otarion’s latest album release is undoubtedly his best yet, kicking off our session.

Over the past month, we’ve been quite busy organising household storage following our return from Australia and assisting our daughter in relocating to a temporary rental while searching together for a permanent home. We encountered disappointment with one property we were close to purchasing due to serious issues discovered during the survey.
Given the chaos, we had a limited time to compile a significant music collection for this month, adding more titles already scheduled for May. Thus, we opted to release two distinct editions of the electronic music genre together again. In this first edition, we present uptempo tracks, sequential compositions, symphonic pieces and more, highlighting the diverse aspects of these styles.

Our opening edition reflects a sombre tone within the lighter side of electronic music, venturing into ambient symphonic, down-tempo, and deeper, darker shades of ambient sounds. In light of his passing on February 15, 2025, we honour David Parsons with two tracks from “Yatra” and his final album, “Portal,” which provided a heartfelt sonic embodiment of the land and its people in the unique blend of Western technology and Eastern music.

Another month commences our journey filled with wondrous sounds, where men and women harmonise with machines on an electric voyage, manifesting in atmospherics of interlacing moods static-hypnotic sequences diverse rhythms varied melodies and experimentation into strange soundworlds.
Making their debut on our podcasts is flutist Liesbet, seamlessly blends with ambient guests and transports listeners into a sound and visual universe. For the first time since the EP was recorded in East Berlin over 40 years ago, the music of Martin Zeichnete, a disciple of Kosmische Muzik, can finally be heard. From The Sine label C37, an emotional downbeat album captures moments of love, loss and hope.
Ambient producer from Finland Janne Hanhisuanto has described his work as spacious and cinematic. Rounding off with Matthew Labarge, whose orchestral mood unfolds like novels and yields new insights after many listens.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year. Our first edition for January features another diverse collection, including Kraut rock by the four-piece band Electric Orange and the re-release of Bloop’s 1999 album ‘Schallaufnahmen,’ performed by two members of that band, Dirk Jan Muller and Dirk Bittner. UK musician David Hughes, performing as ION, delivers a soundtrack to a no-budget student horror film titled ‘Perdition’s Flames,’ blending guitars and atmospheric synths. Our edited track from 1979 by Earthstar is taken from the album ‘French Skylines,’ produced by Klaus Schulze. As usual, we always like to give the female side exposure, with Brooklyn-based composer and producer Rachika Nayar, who has transitioned from the ghostly netherworlds of her debut to a vivid fluorescent cinematic maximalism, and Nadia Struiwigh, who echoes a free-spirited approach of electronic music in the mid-eighties, giving emotionally-charged ambience.

This will be our final edition from Australia. As many of you may know, I will return to the UK on October 11th after spending ten years here. I am excited to rejoin the electronic music scene in Europe and the UK. The next few weeks will be quite busy for me: I will move into a short-term rental, purchase some wheels, and then search for a permanent home with my daughter and son-in-law. Our second edition for July has a diverse range of exciting new album releases. On AD Music, we have Divine Matrix’s inventive ambient music peppered with great sequencing and rhythmic motion, with Udo Hanten’s “Live In Belgium” features his guest, the legendary guitarist and keyboard player Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, on ninety minutes of the most amazing cosmic electronic music. For the first time on Sequences, Jesse James Allen’s “In Company Of Machines” is a dynamic, progressive new-age tapestry woven with traditional and synthesized instruments.
Dino Pacifica recently acquired a Moog Matriarch synth and is a total newbie. His new release, “Musings of a Matriarch,” is a live improvised recording alone with that synth.
International award-winning Australian electronic musician and composer Jim Ottaway is celebrating a significant milestone- the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut album “First Light.” Additionally, Ottaway is releasing a brand new album, “A Promise Of Eternity,” a melodic electronic work with uptempo slower tracks and intriguing sequencing. Finally, his cover of Jerry Lordan’s “Wonderful Land” was made famous by the UK band The Shadows in 1962.
