Balancing blood sugar is key to removing fat. Start your meal with protein, fiber, and fat, then add in high-glycemic carbs and the dessert to keep yourself from spiking your blood sugar too high. If you start with high-glycemic carbs or sugar, your insulin spikes and then gets stored as fat.
