The guests chosen for our second highlights episode really did share a part of themselves in their conversations with me. Each has overcome significant adversity to become the person they are today and their impact on society is truly inspirational.
Kane Mousah chose the road to becoming a world champion fighter, whilst navigating a life on the streets. A combination that led to time in jail and the decision to turn his life around from there. His is a story of change, evolution and redemption.
Margaret Aspinall lost her eldest son to the Hillsborough disaster and has spent 30 years on a search for answers. Her deeply personal and inspirational journey has helped the 97 families who lost loved ones that day and aims to force reform into our justice system.
And finally, Tina Rehana's search for identity led her to seek out emotional outlets, that would ultimately create a lifelong goal; that all children have social mobility and equal chances in life. At only 30 she ranks alongside Marcus Rashford as one of her regions most important change-makers.
If you enjoy this, please join the journey and catch up on their wider stories in our complete series.

Donna Ashworth has a rare talent. She can find the words for situations when everyone else is at a loss for them. Her poetry resonated around the world during the COVID pandemic helping us all deal with the feelings we were having.
“You’re not imagining it, no one wants to talk right now” is the first line of a poem that you may have seen across the internet in 2021/22. It went viral after celebrities from Fearne Cotton to Cat Deeley shared it with their audiences on social media.
With her own audience growing rapidly, Donna has gone from self-publishing her first book to number one in the book charts in the UK, US and Canada and signing a publishing deal with Black & White for her latest collection of poetry ‘I wish I knew’.
Outside of the pandemic, Donna is a champion of women, empowerment and self-esteem and her work is comforting, inspiring and hopeful.
I’m really excited to share the fantastic work that Donna does through this interview.

Healing isn't burying your pain underneath everything in the hope you will forget about what happened; that’s just a distraction.

But with the toughest of starts in life, her journey has not been easy and is characterised by hard work, determination, purpose and a search for identity.
Tina turned the challenges of her own childhood into an ultimate purpose to give every child she meets the opportunities to thrive.

Extraordinarily grounded whilst driven by purpose she has a string of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ accolades to her name and yet her proudest moment is hearing that her son named her as his hero in a school project.

It was an injury in the gym that propelled former nurse Katie Ball into the world of health and fitness and set her on a course to becoming Britain's Strongest Woman.
This journey from ultimate low point to superhuman achievements has demanded discipline, determination and above all mindset.
"Not strong for a woman, just strong," Katie has twice been Britain's Strongest Woman against a backdrop of male prejudice and is a fantastic advocate for women in sport.

Ask yourself: ‘What is this showing me about me and how I show up for myself? How can I navigate through this so I can hold myself in a safe space and still feel compassion for the person in-front of me that is clearly hurting?’

Waving her son James off to his first away game watching Liverpool FC, Margaret Aspinall could never had imagined the day would end the way that it did.
James, just 18 years old, was killed in the Hillsborough disaster, as fans were crushed before the match had even kicked off.
Through unimaginable grief, Margaret began the fight for justice, not only for her son but for the now 96 other victims who lost their lives that day.
In this extraordinary conversation, Margaret shares the heart-wrenching story of looking for her boy, learning of his death, and fighting for the truth, even after 30 years.

You’re on the dream trajectory, travelling the world and on track to become a world champion fighter. That was where Kane Mousah found himself at the age of just 23 – until he was sentenced to almost a decade in prison for firearms offences.
Stopped by police along with two other men, because of affiliations to the notorious Gooch gang, Kane’s world was turned upside down in an instant.
Facing a choice in prison, Kane spent his days working on turning his life around, vowing to come out of there a better man.
And so began the most incredible story of change, evolution and redemption.
I am so proud to share Kane’s story with you, after we sat down together to record two podcast episodes earlier in the year.
Kane talks of the realities of prison life, creating a lifestyle brand, his faith and spirituality, and being a role model for young people. It’s a truly powerful listen. -
In the second part of our chat with Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe of Blue, we dive straight into the deeper topics of mental health, wellbeing and the realities of fame.
We also find out how you end up in the biggest bands of the noughties and how manifesting and tarot played a part in that? Lee and Simon share the story of how they joined the group, what that journey looked like and how Lee’s mum knew long before they did that the guys were on an exciting path ahead. -
What is it really like reaching the pinnacle of fame at 17 years old? Being handed a million pounds in your early twenties?
In this fascinating conversation with two members of one of the biggest boybands the UK has ever seen, Blue, we delve into mental health, the pressures of social media and how spirituality played an eye-opening role in their careers to date.
It was such an interesting chat, we couldn't cut it down into one episode, so this is part one of two.
I hope you the conversation as fascinating and inspiring as I did recording it.
