In this chilling Part 1 episode, we dive into the tragic and haunting case of the Harris family whose lives were brutally cut short on December 22nd, 1989. The small, tight-knit community of Dryden, NY was shaken to its core when the bodies of 39-year-old Warren Harris, his wife 41-year-old Dodie, daughter 15-year-old Shelby, and son 11-year-old Marc were found in their home just days before Christmas.
For decades after this Christmas crime, Dryden, NY has been referred to as the Village of the Damned. But, for the people who call it home, this portrayal feels like a slap in the face. To the locals, Dryden is more than just a small, quiet … cursed town. The horrific murders of the Harris Family on December 22nd, 1989 were only the beginning of a series of tragic events to strike this small town.

It was Christmas night 2003 in the town of Nampa, Idaho. 83 year-old Bob Young and his 73 year-old wife, Idella Young, were set to enjoy a nice quiet Christmas dinner alone in their home. After hearing a knock on their front door, the elderly couple would allow a monster into their home that holiday night. A case that investigators would stop at nothing to solve. Years go by with no suspects and no leads. Persistence pays off when detectives look back on the case with fresh eyes. A killer was always lurking in the background.

In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving 1995, a 911 call was placed in Fairfax County, Virginia. Michael Lee had just returned home from a night out to find his neighbor, Elizabeth Harper, running towards him in his yard. Her house was on fire, and she just jumped from a second story window to escape the flames. Her elderly mother and 2 children, Anne (20) and Matt (18), could still be inside. After fire investigators search the home, they find the body of Anne Harper. But, it appeared that Anne had been bludgeoned with a rolling pin and stabbed with a kitchen knife. Who did this to Anne Harper on what was supposed to be a day of thankfulness and gratitude? The Harper's appeared to be a loving family on the outside, but we don't always know what is going on behind closed doors.

In the summer of 1993, an Upstate NY community was horrified when 12-year-old Sara Anne Wood went missing. Sara's abduction inspired the community, the public, and law enforcement to raise awareness about child safety and missing children. Five months would pass before police would receive a game changing lead. Another 12-year-old girl escaped an attempted abduction in Pittsfield, MA leading police to a man named Lewis Lent Jr. Investigators would unravel a terrifying trail of a serial killer that lived under the radar for years.
In the end, this is the inspiring story of a family that never gave up hope. A family that still continues to fight for justice. A family that believes that the importance of teaching child safety education to prevent child abduction is crucial in our society. The Wood family remains an inspiration to their community. This is the story of Sara Anne Wood.

A "girl's night out" turns deadly. In March 2015, 18 year-old Brittney Gargol went out for a night on the town with her bff, Cheyenne Antoine. The next day Brittney's body would be found on the side of the road. Next to her was a belt, a leather jacket, and a sparkly wristwatch. The case would seemingly go cold, but police were hot on the trail of the killer. An innocent selfie taken the night of the murder would hold all the clues to who killed Brittney Gargol. Sometimes we don't have a motive. Sometimes people are just pure evil.

Kelly Bullwinkle and Kinzie Noordman were bffs. That is until they met Damien Guerrero, the self proclaimed “King of the Goths” at Redlands High School in California. In November of 2018, 31 year-old Ashley Young was excited to begin a new chapter in her life. She had just broken up with her boyfriend of 7 years, and she was moving into her own apartment. The night before Ashley signed her new lease she decided to meet an old friend for some drinks. The next morning, Ashley's mother would be frantically trying to find her daughter. Ashley's family and friends would desperately search for her in a case that will have your head spinning. Where was Ashley? Will her family ever get the answers they so truly deserve? A story that proves parents will stop at nothing to help their children. And, that might not always be a good thing. "Some people don't have good." - Ashley's mother, Kristine.
