This week we are watching Heartstopper on Netflix! This show was recommended by co-host Giulia Santin!! Big shout outs! This Series is a coming into oneself story and having the confidence to be authentic in the most admiral pursuit, love! Based off a graphic novel we follow the story of a group of friends and their experience within a society at odds. I really enjoyed the honestly and the grounded nature that the story brings. This week Severance directed by Ben Stiller on apple TV+!!!! An absolutely must experience! Some of the most creative direction in story telling I've seen in a very long time! SUSPIRIA directed by Dario Argento is a gem of a flick! MUST MUST WATCH!!! The stage he sets with this adventure down the rabbit hole puts us at an illustrious school for international dancers. It opens as the protagonist landing in an airport passing through a monsoon type storm. Also, Argento's pairing with Technicolor who, at the time, was a cutting edge technology that set a new standard for vibrant colours shown on the big screen, pays off in spades! The soundtrack is yet again established by Goblin with an eerie, ominous tone. SPOILERS AHEAD! If you haven't seen this Film please check it out! DEEP RED, I remember being introduced to this film when I was living on Montreal! Dario Argento's style is unlike any other director i've seen from his era. This film takes place in Italy, when during a forum a killer is invoked to kill again. During this twisted tail your taken for a surreal ride acoustically by the group Goblin who worked with Dario to create an incredibly influential soundtrack (that's been heavily sampled by many current bands) This film is a must watch.
