After decades of work, the recently signed into law SB 123 will be require the creation of a new entity that will finally make tangible steps to unify the Railbelt Grid. The discussion is moderated by Chris McConnell, Director for the Alaska Network for Energy Education and Employment, a REAP program. Enjoy the fourth installment to our live event series from the Fall of 2019. Renewable Energy Alaska Project is excited to launch its podcast with the audio from our live public outreach events, the Energy Speaker Series, in which we bring in experts to discuss energy related topics that are pertinent to Alaska's energy landscape. In the first installment of this series we examine the rise of electric vehicles. The discussion is moderated by Shaina Kilcoyne (Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services), and the panel is comprised of Brian Hickey (Chugach Electric Association), Julie Estey (Matanuska Electric Association), and Dimitri Shein (Alaska Electric Vehicle Association). The event starts with a short presentation by Shaina, is followed by a moderated discussion, and finishes with 25 minutes of audience Q+A. Enjoy!
