Clarisa, Marina, and I had so much to say about mummy movies, that it could not all fit into one podcast. Here are some extras from The Mummy podcast where we cover Tom Cruise's The Mummy, the failed Dark Universe, and Wolverine? You'll have to listen to find out!

Join me and my special guests, Clarisa and Marina, as we discuss how great The Mummy (1999) was, how OK but could have been better The Mummy Returns was, and what a series of missed opportunities The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor turned out to be (No Rachel Weisz? Come on!).

Did you watch F9 : The Fast Saga, the ninth movie in the Fast and the Furious series? Well, 2/3 of the people on this podcast did. Listen to us explain to the third person what happens, while we try to remember what happens, and have her guess how the crew get back to Earth from space.
Guests: Nat, Ava, and Romeo (Ava's dog) -
In this bonus mini episode, my friends Nat and Ava discuss Terrifier and Terrifier 2 with me. Ava saw both, Nat saw neither, but read some articles and the Wikipedia entry, and I saw hald of part 1 and turned it off. Listen to Ava possibly convince me to give Terrifier 2 a chance, and Nat cementing that he never will. Cameo by my daughter, Eowyn.

In this episode, my friends Nat and Ava discuss Fright Night with me. All FOUR of them. We all saw the original 1985 and the 2011 reboot. I watched the 1988 sequel and the 2013 "sequel" , Nat maybe saw the 1988 one, neither saw the 2013 one, but Nat watched some clips on YouTube. Will you be intrigued enough to watch the Fright Night movies knowing all the craziness that happens?

Can you keep all the Fast & Furious movies straight? We can't, even with spreadsheets and infographics. Jon Vin and Nat as they discuss the Fast & Furious saga, but only movies #1-4 as well the short films in between. There's just too many movies for one podcast so this is part 1 of 3.

My Tribute to the late Paul Reubens, AKA Pee Wee Herman, who passed away on July 30, 2023. Today, August 27, 2023 would have been his 71st birthday.
I discuss Pee Wee's Playhouse, but mostly I look at Pee Wee's Big Adventure and its three stand alone sequels: Big Top Pee Wee, and Pee Wee's Big Holiday. Three equally odd films that are everything Pee Wee.

What's your favorite scary movie? Well, if you like Scream, join us as we have a multi-generational discussion of the entire Scream franchise even though we were only going to talk about the latest, Scream 6. Is Scream 3 better than Scream 2 and 4? Legacy or Core Four? Is Stu alive?
Special guest, Doug, fellow Gen-Xer, and his daughter, Juliet, Gen Z. Special cameo appearance by my own Gen Z daughter, Eowyn.

The Halloween series has come to an end. At least this particular story line has come to an end. Maybe. Who knows with this franchise. My guests Nat, Ava, and I all watched Halloween Ends together and discuss the latest in the franchise as well as the series as a whole. So warning, spoilers for 13 movies in this podcast. The good, the bad, and the gory.

In this episode, my friend David and I discuss Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U; duo of equally good comedy/horror films that we are dying for the makers to come out with a part 3. This Groundhog Day/Teen Horror/Science Fiction/Drama pulls on many tropes in the best way possible. Definitely, two films worth reliving over and over again.

... and in the day, and especially in the fog. In this episode, me and my friend, Clarisa, discuss the first three movies in the Jurassic Park series. Listen to us laugh through the sheer incredulity of some scenes that have nothing to do with the incredulity of dinosaur cloning science. And also, Clarisa read the novels these are based off, so she's got a few choice words about the movies as well.

In this episode, Vin and her guest, Rob, discuss the sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun; the 2022 mega hit, Top Gun Maverick. A film so good, it made the original look even better. A film with a 99% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes' audience score. Tune in to hear if we found that 1% flaw in this latest Tom Cruise blockbuster. Listen to my trip down memory lane as I recount my memories of Woodstock '99 after watching the Netflix documentary Trainwreck : Woodstock '99 and the HBOMax documentary Woodstock '99: Peace, Love, and Rage. Yeap. I was there. Twenty-one years old and ready for... some of it. There was certainly no reboot or sequel to the legendary Woodstock '99. Or should I call it... Woodstock Part 3? :D

Anyone else watch Return to Oz expecting something like the 1939 film Wizard of Oz? If so, then you got an unintentional horror film that was set in the same universe instead of a fun musical. Join me, who hated the film, as I discuss the 1985 film with my friend Ian, who loved the film and read the books.
You can find Ian on twitter: @LibrarianIanB as he discusses comic books and superheroes on an academic level.

Legally Blonde gave us Elle Woods, an against all odds relatable character as a fish out of water underdog everyone underestimated due to ridiculous stereotypes. However, everything changed in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde and what we got instead was a cringe-fest series of events. Join me and my guest, David, as we discuss how Legally Blonde got so much right, and how the sequel got so much cringe.

Miss Congeniality was a fun comedy with perhaps some questionable choices in these modern times, but yet continues to be beloved by many. So how did Miss Congeniality 2 : Armed & Fabulous fail to deliver to its fans? Even to those of who enjoy "dumb fun" comedies? Join me and my guest, Emily, as we discuss how Miss Congeniality 2 lacked congeniality despite a few laughs delivered.

The Crow (1994) was a culturally iconic movie to a lot of people at the time of its release. The subsequent sequels was a slow descent into a complete murder of the franchise from which it has yet to recover. Join me and my guest, Nat (@natnotnate), as we discuss the films in the series; The Crow II: City of Angels, The Crow: Salvation, and the so bad it's funny, nail in the coffin film, The Crow: Wicker Prayer.

Do you remember the 1991 movie Backdraft? Did you know there was a Backdraft 2? Join me and my guest Edwin as we discuss both films what we liked and what we didn't like about this series of movies about Chicago firefighters.
