We’ll touch on listening to your body’s signs and your heart’s wisdom when it comes to tolerating unaligned environments and situations.
And, most importantly, we’ll get to the core of what you truly want for yourself. What would really make you happy.

Part 2 of the latest feminine rage conversation! (Check out episode 23 for part 1.)
In the last episode, I shared some strategies for how to create better conditions in our lives to allow for more focus, more uninterrupted meaningful work, and have more space for rest.
In this episode, we’re adding another layer: the “this is harder for a woman” layer. We’re going to dive into some frustrating patterns in feminine-masculine dynamics around the topics of focus, having enough time for what we want to do, being recognized for our strengths and contributions, and plain old getting things done.

When your partner is going through a stressful time - whether at work, with family, with too much to do, etc. - or a sad spell, or an episode of anxiety - it’s SO hard to watch them be in this sucky place and NOT know how to help.
We TRY to help: we offer solutions, we want to fix it for them, we try to distract them, but ultimately, we just hope that the next therapy appointment will make everything better.
You do NOT have to wait for that.
There’s a lot you can do, as the person who loves them and knows them best, to help them feel better and get through the difficult period.

I used to believe that self care is something I’ll do closer to retirement. Maybe when my career slows down a bit. Maybe after kids… and honestly, I thought that self care is something only the rich and the privileged had time for.
Now I believe that self care is possible 24/7 - when you make it a natural part of your life.
In this episode, I share the mental shifts that helped me see self care differently, see myself and my mental health differently, and start honoring my body in a way I always wanted to.

I’m a natural planner. It comes with being in leadership at a big company, working closely with project managers, and being used to planning everything to a T all throughout school and college.
So, of course, I used this skill to plan out my life.
And that’s when things went sideways.
I spent many years planning my life direction, my career path (and then business path), my finances, when to have kids, achieving all kinds of personal goals - only to find myself disappointed, frustrated, and down on myself every time I did not hit the goals and had to alter the plan.
(Plus, the planning process itself took SO much of my time. Hello productive procrastination!)
So in this episode, I explain why I no longer plan out my life, and what I do instead.
Because I still want to be intentional about where I’m heading in life. I don’t want to just “coast.” I’m still ambitious, I still have big dreams.
I just no longer pursue those dreams by putting myself in a rigid box of a short-sighted plan.

There’s a side of us that comes out only when we’re exhausted: physically, mentally, emotionally drained, overstimulated, overwhelmed. This side of us can be mean, self-critical, anxious, paralyzed with fear, angry, feeling helpless or hopeless about where the world (of your life) is going.
No matter what this side of you looks like (and sounds like in your head), it’s always driven by the same thing: low energy.
And the key to quieting these negative thoughts and breaking the pattern of emotional spirals is to switch focus to your energy in these moments.
In this episode, I talk about how to do that in a simple 3-step process. How to notice when your thoughts are lying to you, how to stop engaging with your negative thought patterns, and how to effectively turn them off - and bring yourself back to your normal baseline.

Stuck in a rut? When your days start to look the same, life feels boring, you’re not proud of yourself, and start feeling melancholy, the first thought is: “I just need SOMETHING, ANYTHING to happen!”
And that’s the thought that tells me: it’s time to take matters into my own hands.

“How do you get so much done and not burn out?”
It’s a good question! So I’m diving into this one today.
Ambition, big goals, living life to the fullest - we all want to “do it all.” And while I don’t believe in “doing it all,” I think you can get close. At the very least, you can design your life to spend most of your time on needle-moving things that are truly important to you and feel rewarding.
And you can be very energetic, productive, and balanced while at it.
So if you have a lot on your plate, juggling too many things at work and outside of work, often overwhelmed by your to-do list and schedule, this episode is for you.

Can goals and dreams have a dark side?
We thought we were doing the right thing by concentrating on our future: the life we want to build, the businesses that would support us, the reality that would make us really happy. And yes, this is important. But what happens when you take it too far?
In this episode, I share how we realized that we’ve been putting most of our energy into the “elsewhere” - the conceptual future we wanted. And in doing so, forgot all about our peace and happiness in the present.
I also share how we came BACK to the present and what we’re doing different in 2026.
My only resolution for 2026 is to put my happiness first. Not my future. My happiness - right now. I even believe that this approach might get me further than trying to sprint forward towards my big goals.

When your life is perfectly good on the outside, but you constantly feel miserable, what do you do?
When everything is technically fine, but all you can think is: “why am I like this, when will this end, will life ever get better” - how do you get out of this emotional funk?
For me, part of the problem was basing my happiness on outside factors: success at my job, making money, my relationship, adventurous vacations, fun weekends. I was happy when I had these things. My happiness was conditional.
So when most of those things went away, I had to confront this pattern, and learn how to source happiness from within myself.
In this episode, I share 3 practices that helped me do that.
These practices are also what helps me stop and reverse emotional downward spirals.
So when you’re feeling down on yourself, when negative thoughts take over, and when it feels like life’s getting worse and worse: listen to this episode. Do the simple practices. Bring yourself back into balance.

Sometimes, when you’re tired, you feel worse after resting and have no idea why. Sometimes giving yourself a break leaves you more exhausted than before.
And even if you know how to stay healthy, even if you’re eating well and sleeping enough, some days you feel like you just can’t get off the couch, and it takes all of your discipline to make yourself do anything at all.
Why does this happen?
Because “low energy” comes in different forms - and those forms require different approaches to feel better.
Rest needs to match the root cause of tiredness in order to be effective.
This is exactly why relaxation and self care can have the opposite effect: leaving you unmotivated, empty, and melancholy when it was supposed to “fill your cup.”

A personal update of what's been shifting for me in 2025!
This year, I threw the "plan" out the window. It wasn't working. Turns out, I do NOT know best.
Turns out, life wants me to go in a different direction - when I open up and let myself be led instead of trying to control everything.
In this episode I talk about how my coaching business has been difficult and slow to build, and how my painting business is the opposite: smooth and easeful, and how it's been rewarding when I lean into my painting business instead of trying to force the coaching business to work.
I also share about our family’s vision for our financial future, how my businesses play into it, and how my husband and I have both been pivoting our work towards this vision.
And, I talk about what changes are happening to this podcast, to my coaching business model, and to my work as a whole in 2026.
