The way we speak to ourselves shapes everything: our relationships, nervous systems, creativity, confidence, and ability to actually enjoy life!
So why is self-compassion often the hardest thing to give ourselves??!
In this episode, I talk about why so many high achievers and people pleasers are deeply compassionate toward everyone except themselves, how perfectionism and inner criticism masquerade as growth, and why learning to meet ourselves with more kindness may be some of the deepest healing work there is!
I share my own journey as an “internal helicopter mom” to my inner child, especially during postpartum, and why the reassurance, grace, and unconditional love we want our children to feel is often exactly what we need to practice giving ourselves.
If feeling “not enough” has ever been a familiar inner dialogue, this episode is for you!!

One of the biggest shifts I’ve seen in myself and my clients has nothing to do with tactics!!
...it’s what happens when we stop waiting for permission from other people and start giving it to ourselves.
Permission to change, grow, slow down. Permission to evolve beyond the version of ourselves other people got comfortable with.
In this episode of Powerful Stuff, I talk about why self-permission clears more blocks than overthinking ever will. Lately, that’s looked like giving myself permission postpartum to move differently, trust my own timing, and stop seeking external validation before making a decision.
Everything changes when you stop asking to be chosen and start choosing yourself!

Why do some people walk into a room and feel instantly at home… while others feel like outsiders no matter what they’ve achieved??!?!
In this episode, I’m unpacking my lifelong relationship with belonging… from feeling like the outsider growing up to becoming someone who builds rooms for a living.
Long before I was a coach or facilitator, I was hosting dinners, curating spaces, and trying to create the kind of connection I couldn’t always find. And if I’m being honest, a lot of it started from wanting to be chosen, seen, and validated!
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Belonging isn’t something you find. It’s something you create… starting with yourself. We get into:
Why high-achieving people often feel the most disconnectedThe hidden link between people-pleasing and not feeling like you belongHow I went from trying to fit into rooms to creating my ownThe subtle ways you might be abandoning yourself to be acceptedWhat actually creates real, grounded connection! If you’ve ever felt like you’re “too much,” “not enough,” or slightly outside the group… this one’s for you <3

In this episode, my husband Spencer and I share the full story of our son’s birth... including how it didn’t go as planned and how that experience became an initiation into surrender, trust, and partnership.
We talk honestly about labor expectations versus reality, the emotional and relational impact of birth, and what the first 40 days postpartum really looked like for us. From navigating exhaustion and uncertainty to learning how to support each other as new parents, this conversation is a real-time reflection on becoming a family!
Spencer chimes in with his perspective on the birth itself and on a meaningful challenge we faced during our son’s first week of life...and how it shaped the way we communicate, co-regulate, and show up for each other now.
This episode is for anyone preparing for birth, in early postpartum, or curious about how parenthood reshapes identity, relationships, and expectations. It’s not a polished highlight reel but rather an honest conversation about our personal journey of surrender, growth, and learning as we go (as we are still in it!).

“Who am I to do this?” is the doorway, not the stop sign.
I explored this question with one of my besties and one of the most authentic people I know, Rezlo, as we talked about his journey from corporate life to yoga teaching to coaching, all rooted in deeper self-trust and self-love. What we both reflect on is how, when we feel called to lead or serve, that question "who am I to...?" often shows up loudly. Not as a reason to stop, but as an invitation to look inward. Life coaching and service aren’t about having all the answers, they’re about being willing to face your own mirror honestly so you can help others do the same.
This is a snippet from my Powerful Stuff podcast episode with Rezlo dropping Monday, his first podcast ever, where we dive into these questions alongside his real, lived journey of becoming and how radical self love has given him the fuel for all his major life leaps to his most fully expressed and magnetic self. If you've ever wondered how to become your most unapologetically authentic self, this episode is for you.If you're interested in Rezlo's coaching, music, or journey, follow him on instagram at @itsrezlo

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn’t a lack of self-awareness — but too much of it?
In this episode, I share a story from mile 92 of the Whistler Ironman...when I realized I’d been riding in the wrong gear the entire race, my thighs were on fire, people were passing me, and I had one hour to finish the bike or be disqualified from the entire event.
I couldn’t change the hill...but I could change how much I suffered on it.
That moment became a metaphor for something I see constantly in high-achieving, thoughtful people: we don’t stop striving when we enter the healing world...we just turn that striving inward. Self-awareness becomes another performance, another prison, another version of pressure.
Also called: self-awareness hell.
In this episode, we explore:
Why self-awareness alone can actually reinforce shameHow high achievers over-optimize healing and get stuckThe difference between self-awareness and self-amusementWhy humor is not avoidance, but nervous-system regulationHow a simple jingle (“good thing I like hills”) helped me keep going...in endurance sports, pregnancy, and lifeSelf-amusement is not bypassing or denial. It's an advanced spiritual practice!
If you’ve ever felt trapped in over-analysis, exhausted by “doing the work,” or secretly wondered if healing is supposed to feel lighter than this then this episode is for you!
What’s your jingle for the next hill you’re facing?

If you’re ready to move forward but don’t want to repeat old patterns at a faster pace, this episode is for you.
In the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of the Snake is about shedding, endings, and deep internal change. The Year of the Horse brings momentum, confidence, leadership, and forward motion. In this episode of Powerful Stuff, I guide you through the shift between the two so you can integrate what you’re releasing and step into what’s next with clarity and energy.
You’ll get a simple breakdown of the Snake-to-Horse transition, personal stories from my own season of change, a short guided meditation, and reflection questions designed to help you feel grounded, complete, and genuinely ready to move.
This isn’t about predicting the year ahead. It’s about leaving this episode feeling integrated from what you shed, clear, connected, and ready to create freedom from structure as you step into the year of the horse in 2026!

What happens when you stop forcing life and let it move through you??
In this stand-up comedy special, a 9 month pregnant Meredith Baker explores The Pregnant Pause... that strange, sacred space between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
This is not just a show about pregnancy, however!
It’s about identity shifts, surrender, control, humor as healing, and what happens when life asks you to soften instead of push harder.
Through sharp comedy, vulnerable storytelling, and moments of collective reflection, Meredith weaves together:
Pregnancy and hypnobirthing metaphors
The pressure to “heal correctly” in hustle culture
Letting go of control without losing yourself
Self-amusement as an advanced spiritual practice
Laughing through fear, change, and transformation
Whether you’re pregnant, in a career transition, ending a relationship, starting something new, or standing on the edge of your next chapter....this special is for you.
...Because life is always pregnant with something.

We’re not here to pretend our relationship is perfect. In this episode, Spencer and I break down the biggest patterns we had to face-from feeling unseen, to poorly timed vulnerability, to how pregnancy amplified every unspoken need. We share the process we used with our Gottman coach, how we learned to repair faster, and the rituals we created to rebuild trust and adoration as we transition from pregnancy parenthood. If you crave a partnership that evolves instead of erodes, this is your roadmap.
