Kit Cummings founder of the Power of Peace Project talks with Marques, former gang leader about the challenges of growing up around influences and choices that lead him to Eastman YDC. Marques transparently opens up about his experience growing up and the type of role models he looked up to and looked to for leadership. They talk about how their paths crossed and then how their connection was eventually made, which lead to the transformation process. This transformation for Marques lead him down a different road. A road where he is now in pursuit of his college education as a business major, accompanied by his desire to be a motivational speaker. Marques wants to inspire other young people within his community and around the country to discover their true identity.
