Every year, over 500,000 Americans file for bankruptcy due to medical bills. Many of these arise from auto accidents that occur at alarming rates, oftentimes leaving the victim with a brain or spinal cord injury. These types of injuries can be long-lasting and require treatment for decades, and most affordable insurance policies do not cover the overwhelming expenses that accompany traumatic brain and spinal injuries.
John Prosser II, president of the NeuroTrauma Association, joins Dr. Phil on his Phil in the Blanks podcast to give you information to prepare yourself in case you or someone you love suffers this type of accident. Learn how to get medical coverage and where to get the support and treatment you may need to heal.
“We’re trying to get millions of drivers all over the country to look at this through the lens of ‘Oh, my God. What if this happens to me?’” Prosser says.

In part 2 of the Phil in the Blanks podcast about the dangers of social media content, Dr. Phil continues his discussion with Imran Ahmed, Founder and CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. They discuss social media companies not taking accountability for third-party content, building awareness of this gross neglect, and more.
Social media is full of wonderful opportunities for people to connect. It is also filled with people who push identity-based hate, extremism, disinformation, and conspiracy theories. Imran Ahmed joins Dr. Phil on his Phil in the Blanks podcast to discuss psychological malignancies on social media – and how to protect our children against them.
ABOUT: The Center for Countering Digital Hate counters hate and disinformation, by disrupting the online architecture enabling its rapid worldwide growth. Digital technology has changed the way we communicate, build and maintain relationships, set social standards, and negotiate and assert our society’s values. Digital spaces, however, are often safe for bad actors spreading hate and disinformation, turning them into a hostile environment for others. Over time these bad actors, advocating diverse causes – from misogyny and racism to denial of science and conspiracy theories – have mastered using these platforms to cause considerable real-world harm.

Sadly, the interest to become a teacher or remain a teacher is the worst in our nation’s history. We’ll tackle the teacher shortage, low standards, student whining, and new requirements in states like AZ & FL that passed what critics call the “warm body” law to put unqualified people in classrooms as teachers. Other states are pushing universities to expedite teacher certifications. Some districts are hiring student teachers who are still enrolled in college to be full-time first-year teachers. Dr. Ingrid Haynes-Traylor served two decades in P-12 public education as a teacher and administrator and now serves as the Director of the National Literacy Institute. She also teaches bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level literacy courses and has published books and numerous journal articles on literacy instruction. She actively researches best practices in literacy instruction for at-risk student groups and conducts literacy training and workshops across the nation to build instructional capacity in teachers who teach our most fragile learners.

Victimhood culture, a concept that originates in sociology, is today defined as a tendency of people to over-emphasize the need to protect their (sexual, gender, ethnic) identity and to present themselves as victims, even if the alleged offense was minor or only imagined. My guest today, PASTOR JAMES WARD, says that the “core conviction to overcome is the first step to shifting from victim to zero victim thinking.” We are discussing Pastor James’ book “Zero Victim: Overcoming Injustice with a New Attitude” and ways we can get out of victimhood.
