Drawing from the Word of God, he explains how faith is not just a belief but something that must be tested through trials in order to grow. True faith is rooted in Scripture, not in personal opinions or feelings. Pastor McClurkin encourages believers to study the Bible to strengthen their faith and understand God's promises. He also discusses how faith acts as a shield, protecting us from the devil's lies, and reminds us to trust God in overcoming life's challenges.

  • In this compelling sermon, Pastor Donnie McClurkin tackled the critical importance of guarding your heart, as emphasized in Proverbs 4:23. The heart is described as deceitful, often leading us astray through flawed choices and emotions. He explains that only by returning to God, the ultimate creator, can we truly understand and heal our hearts, thoughts, and souls. Addressing the trichotomy of man—spirit, body, and soul—this sermon underscores the need for spiritual recalibration and soul healing, reminding us that wealth and success cannot mend a broken soul. With powerful examples of faith and healing, Pastor Donnie calls for honesty with God, urging us to seek His help in overcoming past issues and to embrace the unique identity He has given each of us. Break free from the yoke of your past and step into the abundant life God has planned for you.

  • Life will always have its struggles but these struggles are no surprise to God. Sometimes we forget that God has plans that He purposely structured for us and it includes all of our struggles. Pastor Donnie McClurkin propelled exuberantly from the first part of the text in Philippians 1:6, which says, “being confident”; and revealed to us that God is walking with us through every situation we are facing, inclusive of our mistakes and wrong doings. God doesn’t just come to our problems but He’s already ahead of it because He’s up to something. The enemy will hit us hard, fast and continuously but we must remember to represent God well by not bowing to the evils of this world. So when your problems get intense, remain confident and keep your eyes open because God is about to show up. He’s up to something.

  • The Bible says that God will command the blessings when people come together in unity. Pastor Donnie McClurkin vehemently opposed the widespread division that has found its way into the body of Christ. He ascertained that this division has put the church in a dangerous place because the church is a substratum of hope and help for the world. He admonished that we should not allow our political differences to bifurcate our fellowship and solidarity because if the church is divided then we will become disconnected and dysfunctional. He then called for unity, reminding us that everyone is valuable and everyone is needed in their respective roles because God has made us as one body, which should never be divided.

  • It is really easy to quote the Scriptures, especially during hard times but do we really know or understand their meaning? Elder James Wilson, annexed the promises of God with a charge to never quit amid our struggles. Although we may find ourselves between the purpose of God and the destruction and divisiveness of the world, God will make good on His Word and His grace will take us through it. So be encouraged today, God’s promises of provision are far greater than anything you could ever face and His promises won't let you quit.

  • When was the last time you evaluated the impact of your words over your life and those around you? What we say doesn't just come out of heads but it emerges from our hearts. Although words are not magical, they hold power and influence in all that we do. The culture of Christianity is comprehensively based on the Bible, this then gives the believers the responsibility to govern their lives by studying and applying the word, especially in their speech. Pastor Donnie McClurkin, vigorously, pivoted from Proverbs 18:21, and cemented the foundation on the power of the tongue. He made it clear that if we speak negative words, they can either be productive or abortive, not only in our lives but also in the lives of others. We should study, listen more and talk less. It's time to purge ourselves from all negativity. So watch your mouth and don’t let it hinder your success.

  • If we reflected on the first time that we heard about Jesus, it was probably through someone that we met in passing or someone we already know but either way, someone spoke to us. PDM gave us a Christian staple that as believers, we should be ready and willing to share the gospel with others. Although church attendance is necessary, we shouldn't allow ourselves to be confined to just it functions. Jesus wants us to get out of our comfort zones and become steadily emboldened by his great commission to go out and win more souls. So since God had done such a wonderful transformation in you, why not share it. It’s time to get out of the shallow waters and launch out into the deep.

  • As Christians, we have to get real with the reality of life that there’s going to be days that we bump into problems, there will be seasons of turbulence, and it is in these times that we are tested if we would cower under the pressure or remain steadfast in our confession of faith in Christ, abide in Him, as He too has been through all that we are going through in life and is the only One who could always come to our aid.

  • There are things in life that are seemingly unfair and unfavorable to us despite us being on our knees, faithful in prayer and in service to the Lord. More often, we think that just because we pray and serve the Lord, we always get what we want. In this sermon, Elder James spoke of the reality of God’s sovereign, kind, and loving will for our lives that when things don’t seemingly go as he hoped they would be, our constant source of everything is still with us and for us—Jesus.

  • As Christians, we cannot simply be comfortable in the four corners of the church and remain idle amidst the chaos and the need that people surrounding us are suffering. We need to go and share the love of Jesus to others so that they may know Him. In this sermon, Pastor Donnie McClurkin admonishes us and stirs us to be intentional in reaching out to people who need the Lord and thereby fulfilling our life’s purpose.

  • Do we truly understand what it means to have the presence of a father in our homes? Having a father in our homes or lives brings stability, guidance, protection, security, boundaries and much more. While many may not have had this experience, there is also a parallel and more perfect model of a father, in God. Elder James Wilson delivered an excellent reminder that God, our Father, wants to not only be a father to us but he wants to reside on the inside of us and be present in every area of our lives. We must then be willing to relinquish our old way of doing things and embrace His ways by aligning our life with His Word. He will show a new and better way of living because He is the eternal Father.

  • In a reflection about life, Pastor Donnie McClurkin reminds us of the reality of time. Time never stops. Time is a blessing. Every moment that we have is a blessing and although we may at times be duped into complaining about bad times in life, we Christians who know God understand His purposes. We who have the propensity to squander opportunities and time, can make up for lost time because God has invested His grace to us and in Him, we can redeem lost time for it is never too late with God.

  • In a probing reflection, Pastor Donnie McClukin elaborated on the primary reason for the socially big gap between generations. He hones in on the disciplinary aspects from the older generation which is a preparation for life's lessons ahead. In the same way God knows that life will bring us to the point of exhaustion so He has put in place strengths for our struggles to keep us from failing. So even at our lowest state, God will give us more grace for the journey ahead if we endure to the end.

  • We live in a day where social media has become the avenue of so-called experts of various topics and certain information and people gravitate to the convenience of social media to learn and get the information, knowledge, or insight of what they are looking for.

In this sermon, Elder James Wilson poses the question: What do we do with knowledge as we acquire it? Do we store it as mere information? Do we boast about it because we are better equipped than others? Or do we neglect to consider it? Or misuse or abuse it?

To have knowledge is to really apply and live out that knowledge in our lives and experience it.

In the various stories of the three women in the book of Kings, whose desire has been challenged to maintain for their children, we see their faith before they heard the Word of God, we see their frustration while hearing God’s Word, and we see their faith after hearing God’s Word.
