CANES ARE PICKING SECOND OVERALL! Toronto is a nightmare, Wayne Simmonds was dead since November, and Tom Wilson is a molding diaper. We finally weigh in on the Hart conversation, and have what might be our first actual argument. We’re back and we’re so valid! The Sedins retire, Melnyk has a party, USA Hockey does dumb stuff, shocker. Josh Ho-Sang gets slandered and Taylor Hall is a huge nerd, actually. Playoff predictions following all Game Ones, why is there so much violence, and we’re not as charmed with the Marchand/Leo stuff as everyone else.

WE LOVE GOLD MEDALISTS! Outdoor games are bad and we should stop having them. Quick trade deadline recap since the last episode was lost to the ether. The Canucks are so bad, Jim Benning’s mother is very dissapointed. The Riveters do a good thing, Jamie Benn breaks stuff, Seattle preps to be a hockey town. Jeremy Roenick is a hypocrite, shocker, and discussions of a potential merger between the NWHL & CWHL, with NHL influence. And this time, the audio didn’t shatter into a million unuseable pieces, hooray!

It’s the end of an era as we know it, and we most certainly do not feel fine. The NHL and the people who cover it just can’t stop giving slack to abusers. The new era of players are petty, and at least one of us loves it. Knight stole the show at the ASG, Marchand revels in the boos. Caro is back, and still amazing, and the CWHL continues to be incredibly shady. Rivalry Night is back; the girls vs bad coverage of women’s hockey, and by god are we tired.

We’re back from an accidental hiatus wherein Taylor broke all her bones and Maya was crushed by the spirit of Christmas. Olympic rosters were released and we have things to say about it beacause of course we do. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, aka WORLD JUNIORS! Eugene Melnyk had a colossal breakdown, the Yotes continue to be a hot mess, trade rumors abound, the Canes have one good thing, and the Isles have a new arena deal. The Pegulas bought the Buffalo Beauts! Taylor GRADUATED since we last recorded, we promise that won’t happen again (Taylor is not allowed to go back to school).

The Canes are staying in Raleeigh, Tkachuck gets suspended, and Ben Lovejoy donates his brain to CTE research.
