A top 8 bar passer in 1989, Jalilo O. dela Torre, USJ-R, 85.10, chose a path of fulfillment in public service. I've have known Sir Jali in 2016 as the Labor Attache in Hong Kong. He has launched a service highlighting the importance of health check-ups for domestic workers. His office is also set to introduce a new platform that will be used to fight abuse by employers and agencies in Hong Kong. Dela Torre led the fight against domestic workers being forced to clean high-rise windows, a ban on which was introduced in Hong Kong in 2017. He is also known among the city’s Filipino community as a firm opponent of human trafficking and unscrupulous employment agencies.
I credit Sir Jali as the proponent for me to start thinking of being an Entrepreneur while I am still in Hong Kong and thus born the OFWpreneur journey that I talk about in this OFWpreneurs Podcast. Listen to the story of how it started and maybe this conversation can inspire you to take action.
